Soquili participating so far: Charlotte, Kaidus, Kaliska, PraetoriaThe day is young and beautiful: light, filtering through leaves, casts green-yellow flecks on trunks lining the luscious meadow. Soft, fresh spring grasses move as waves do on the sea, grown tall to ankle-length for any grown Soquili. The morning breeze controls all these factors, swaying the branches and grass, scenting the area with a fragrance from the blossoming fruit-trees not too far off. Springtime is evident when looking at this scene, full of new life.
This serene peace wouldn't be kept much longer, however, as the foreboding and quickly-advancing hoofbeats grow nearer to this gorgeous spot. The drumming is lighter than usual, as the one approaching is but a filly. Young as the day and looking for adventure!

Charlotte's verdant eyes grew wider still as she approached her targeted location: a huge clearing in her homeland forest. She was quite surprised, really, to discover that she hadn't come across this unique portion of land in her prior travels. Naturally, mother worried, and this was one of the days she left after actually telling her mother she was going.
There was a small part of Charlotte that wondered what her silly sister was doing. She constantly worried about her looks. There was no argument that Rayne was beautiful, of course, but a little muck never hurt! As interesting a topic as it was, Charlie just snorted and pushed her wayward family out of her head, focus reset on the tempting space ahead.
'I vonder vhat I vill find....' The corners of Charlotte's mouth twisted into a confident grin and she broke into the meadow with the feeling of breaking through a great barrier. The feel was definitely different, with a mellow aroma to boot! It was rather empty, but there were many smaller animals that looked like they'd provide decent entertainment. Without any hesitation, Charlotte took to inquisition of a large butterfly. Mama told her about "Flutter" Soquili. Maybe today would be Charlie's lucky day!

Kai had managed to free herself from Corine's grey gaze again. She was never sure how it was done, but her wolf friend Renji always seemed to help with the issue. The black foal raced through the trees, her glowing white hooves lightly hitting the ground. Kai loved running, something she inherited from her mother (though she didn't know it).
The foal broke the trees into a meadow. She slowed to looks around, her white-grey eyes wary. And then she spotted her, a dark grey, almost black filly, much like herself, chasing a butterfly.
"Huh... well that's different..." she said to herself, not sure what do to. She almost thought about just turning around and leaving, but she'd come this far. Why not enjoy the freedom a little?

Meanwhile, nearby another dark foal dozed, hiding in some longer grass as her larger, younger 'sibling' prowled low, watching the butterfly move. Praetoria prowled low to the ground, hiding in the long grass as she stalked her 'prey' like her father showed her, trying to see if she can capture the fluttering creature. And then, suddenly a new toy arrived in the field and she settled down, watching. Waiting.. "RAWR!" She lept up suddenly, hoping to startle Charlotte. "Shaddup, Praetoria." Mumbled Kaliska from her nap, rubbing a leg on the top of her muzzle irritably.

Kai glanced over at the foal who appeared. Now... where had she come from? The foal figured that she'd always been there, and in her neglet to look around her like Renji had taught her, she missed her. She was not impressed with herself at all.
She walked over, and almost stepped on a dark colored, horned foal in the grass. "Holy crows! Jeez it's not a good idea to sleep in long grass like that," she said to Kaliska, eyes hard. What was she doing anyway, hiding in grass like that? Didn't she know she could get stepped on that way?

Charlotte was almost upon the elegant, bright-winged creature when...
"Rawr!"
Charlie narrowed her eyes and pursed her lips, scowling at the equine disturbance. She froze for a good long moment, much like her mother would if she were particularly upset with Charlotte's actions. Oh, how often that happened. Rarely with Rayne, of course.
Finally, Charlotte turned her head stiffly to face Praetoria, "vhat. Vas that." Her green eyes pierced the other filly's and she stood up tall, though Prae was just about the same height. Suddenly, she snorted and rolled her eyes, tossing her mane, "that vas the rudest thing you could have done! I nearly had him!" Honestly, what a... What a foal.
Huffing once more, Charlie promptly turned her rump to face Prae to find... Another couple of foals also situated in the area. Then Charlotte imagined a cat. How, when angered, it would arch its back and sputter and hiss. Oh, how the bandit wished to do such a thing now.

(My apologies for being so behind on this @_@ Real life has been hectic and Writers block has been pretty solid)
"..." Praetoria rose a single eyebrow, a crazy grin still on her lips as she looked down on the slightly smaller Foal: she was of a good, large size normally, though in comparison to her 'sibling' she was a giant, "What a curiously manxome personality you have, the Flutter-by is right over there." She then turned her head away from the more aggressive, accented foal before her, and quickly made to stand over kaliska, "hey! We were hear first..."
"Praetoria, stop it." Kaliska stood slowly, her back rubbing against the girls belly before she could slide out from under her. Despite her size, she sounded and even looked a little older then the other soquili, her hair grown out further, wavy and tangled with feathers. She then smiled slightly, sharp, predatory teeth showing, "I apologize for my 'little sister'.. We will be on our way." She yawned daintily.
The larger grey and green foal whined, "But I wanna play -- you never let me play with the other foals!"

Kai promptly rolled her eyes and stepped around the pair of foals. "Accented one! Cut her some slack will ya? She was just doin' what you were, so come on. Even I have a better control on my temper, and I've got a short fuse" she said, knowing that that wasn't entirely true. She didn't have control on her temper. It just blew up when it would. But still... Such a priss, that one.
She blinked and looked down at the horned one, who looked far older than her size would have placed her. "Jeez are you small. What are you, part Flutter or something? I don't think I've ever seen a foal this small..." mused Kaidus out loud, rather bluntly. her grey eyes looked over Kaliska, wondering how the girl could be so small.
