He was going to do it this time.
He was going to manage this, he was sure of it. There was nothing in the world that could get between him and his goal this time, no doubt about it! That's what he'd thought at the start of his brave 'quest' of sorts at least... however, the obstacles that destiny was putting forth were starting to dim the confidence he'd started off with.
Chuchip had never realised how hard it would be to reach berry bushes that lived just beyond the edge of the forest. The puddles that threatened to dirty his pristine coat had been troublesome, but he had managed to leap over them! The stream that had blocked his path had put him off enough that he'd almost turned around and left.
Sheer willpower and bravery was the sole reason he'd walked alongside the stream (at least in his opinion!) till he reached a fallen log, enabling him to cross the treacherous waters. Of course, when he'd reached the berry bushes... he'd come across his latest problem; they were riddled with thorns and due to his still small frame, he was unable to reach any of the little black and red treasure, "Awwwwww!" he voiced loudly as he comically tried to reach the delicious fruit, "That's so horribly unfair!" unable to eat, he sat down on his hind haunches and looked very much like a damsel in distress, instead of the brave prince he was always trying to resemble. Thank god there was no one around to see!

"Yo hooooo, haul together, hoist the colors hiiiiigghhhhh," Zeli sang softly as she ambled contentedly towards the berry bush patch. She wanted some of the pretty things to give her mamma. Not to mentiion they made a tasty midday snack for daring pirate lasses, like herself. Pausing only long enough to find a long branch, she picked it up in her mouth and carried it along, still humming as she plotted out a cunning attack on the thorny berry bushes.
Her soft humming stopped abruptly as she came around the last clump of scrub to see a white kyunru near her own age sitting and staring longingly at the berries nestled out of reach.
Snorting delicately, she careful put her stick down and called out cheerfully, "Just sitting and staring won't do you a bit of good, matey! Now be a good little thing and let me at those bushes, hrmm?"

Except... apparently there WAS someone there to see his horrible failure. Well, oops.
Chuchip winced, kicking himself mentally in the process before turning his full attention to his unpredicted audience, "I... uhm...." a pause followed for a moment, and he looked genuinely confused, as if not entirely sure what she wanted him to do. Then, after a moment's thought, he realised she wanted him to get out of the way.
Which he did, albeit with a tad of hesitation, "I'm not exactly little," he told her as he watched her; something about her was oddly familiar, but he couldn't quite put a finger on what, "What are you going to do?" something about the fact SHE knew what to do and HE didn't, was horribly off-putting, but he was going to go with it for now. That was a Prince's job after all; offering help whenever needed, in whatever form it was needed!

Zeli gave the kyunru an amiable nod and went to retrieve her trusty stick.
"So you're not. But you're not exactly big either. As to what I am going to do, well... I am going to take this stick," she paused to point a paw at her weapon of choice, "and use it to knock some of the berries off the bush."
With that, she grinned, winked and went to rummage in the bag that hung over her shoulder. Churring softly as she found a large, clean white hanky inside, she pulled it out with her teeth and carried it over to the boy.
"Be a pal and spread this out under the bush as far as you can reach without getting pricked, okay? That's how we're going to get the berries out."
Beaming happily as she took up the stick, she carried it carefully and waited for her erstwhile companion to do as she'd asked.
