Azar had been looking forward to this day for a while now. She hadn't got a chance in a long time just to spend some time with her father. He had been so busy and with her siblings she felt like it was a battle for his attention. She was such a daddy's girl but even that was hard when he was the regent with so many other cubs to watch. If she was a only child, to a point she would be very happy. She loved her siblings, Sure! But just some times she wished it... Even though when it came down to it she would never get rid of them. Especially not Zii, even though Azar questioned the male she had been hanging around with lately... The point was she wouldn't get rid of them.
Those thoughts aside she was ready to spend time with her father! She was bounding around the outside of the den, playing around in the sand and pouncing on small animals, waiting for him to wander up after doing the morning patrol that he insisted that he had to do. She wondered if her father had anything planned for them, and if he did she wondered what it could be. Oh she'd love to spar with her father by herself she had been practicing a lot! Or, she wondered if he would show her more of the lands, maybe he would teach her more about the pride! Anything that he had planed seemed exciting for the growing cub. She was really looking forward to this. Now if only he would show up.

Kidondo emerged from the den, his red pelt deepened under the hues of the desert sun. He would never fail to be impressed by such an expanse of beautiful sky. Never fail to be at awe of the desert's beauty. Smiling, he stretched and cast a glance towards his daughter, waiting to spend some time with her father. And who would he be to deny her that?
He glanced back into the den, bade a farewell to those still inside, and moved across the sand in steady, purposeful steps.
"How are you, little dark daughter of mine?" He questioned, lowering his head to nudge her gently.

When Azar heard her father, she jumped slightly at the sound, it caught her off guard for the moment. But it took her a moment before she turned around and smiled at him, looking up and nipping at his maw as he nudged her. "Hi Daddy!" She moved forward and nuzzled his paws, sitting on one of his paws.
"I'm good, I'm really excited though." She grinned up at him again before worming around some. Before grinning some more. "What are we going to do Daddy?!" She squeaked excitedly as she stared up at him. She kneaded the ground a few times before nuzzling him again. "Do you have anything planed?" She looked at him with a wide grin before bounding around his ankles, purring quietly as she did.

(( whoops! Lost track of this one! Sorry, hon! ))
"Figured a walk would do us both the world of good." He replied, nudging his daughter and moving out a few steps into the arms of the beautiful desert. He breathed in deeply and let a rumbling purr reverberate through his chest.
"Zii'moto not with you today, dear dark one?" He asked, the two very opposite sisters were almost always with one another.
In fact, mentioning one of her siblings made Kidondo realise that none of the others were around. Growing up too fast, they were, or so it seemed anyway. Soon they'd leave the den altogether and it'd just be him and No again. Both a good and bad thought, for he had a feeling he'd miss the chaos and yet, at the same time, welcome some peace.

Azar giggled softly as she was nudged, she could hold her ground pretty good, and just stumbled a little bit, however when it came down to it she was infact getting bigger. If he did that when she was a little younger then she would have been knocked over. But now her only affect was a small stumble. She nipped at him softly before bounding by his side, ready for the walk that she offered.
"She's with her friend." She made a face, she really didn't like that male. She looked up at him then shrugged pausing for a moment and dropping to her rump and scratching behind her ear before trotting back up to her father. "She likes spending time with him."

He smiled, sensing a growing strength in her. She'd be a strong one, this dark daughter of his. Just like her mother. "Her friend?" He queried. Ah, it was nice to hear of his children mingling, finding friends they could use to distract them from training and learning.
He chuckled at the sight of his daughter's expression, shaking his head. "And you don't like her spending time with him, am I right?" He looked across at her. "Don't worry Azar, friends come and go, you'll always be her sister. Nothing can change that. Besides, you have friends too, right?"

Azar sighed and swiped at the dirt in front of her and shook her head. "Yeah her friend." Before his next question came. She looked up at him before forward again, sighing once more. "I don't like him." She grunted slightly before making a face. "I think she likes him." she flicked her hair out of her eyes. She was thinking back to their last run in, where Azar was teasing her sister, she never gave her a straight answer though, so she was mostly going off of what she knew, but she still didn't like it...
She looked at him then made a face. "Yeah I know daddy but he's a Safi lion!" She huffed, she still wasn't that sure what to think of the Safi's, she had already run into Zii's "Friend" and she wasn't that sure of what to think of him. She didn't like her thats all that she knew. "Safi's are bad aren't they?" She blinked as she looked at her father with wide curious eyes.

He paused now and turned to look at her, sensing that this conversation was going to be important. Important for her and for the rest of her siblings maybe. Lightly, he set a paw across her shoulders, attempting to reassure her that things weren't going to be as bad as she seemed to think they were.
"Oh, love." He replied. "There's no harm in keeping an eye out for your sister. In fact, I'd encourage you to look out for her and make sure she's safe, just as I expect all of you to do. But, if Zii likes him then he can't be all that bad, can he?"
He trusted in the judgement of his children.
"Listen to me, love, and I'll tell you what I think." He drew her close. "Some Safi might be bad but I truly believe that some are good, also. But, whatever they are, they are our kin and we must give them all an equal opportunity to change. Loyalty and the ablity to give them the benefit of the doubt may be enough to shift some of them into our way of thinking." He smiled. "I'm not saying you have to like him, but maybe give it a bit longer before casting judgement?"

Azar looked at her father a smile slowly forming on her face as he spoke of keeping an eye out for her sister, but then he finished his sentence... and her face slowly turned to a frown. "I know daddy... But... I don't like him." She frowned, she knew he might not have been the most pleasant because of the fact that she wasn't bing the most nice of a person to him. She still didn't like him.
Azar blinked as she was pulled closer to her father. She looked up at him with her eyes wide with curioustiy on what he was going to say. She always had listened to him the best, her fathers always knew how to get something through her thick skull of hers. She nuzzled against his leg as he talked to him. He was telling her to give him more of a chance, she bit her lip at the idea, she wasn't that sure of what she thought of it. It wasn't something she would normally do, or enjoy that much but her father did have a point. She leaned into him more with a sigh before looking back up at him. "Yeah daddy... I guess your right..." Her face twisted slowly back into a smile as she looked up at him.

"That's my girl!" He replied, nuzzling her again and standing. "So, do I know who this fellow is that's won the interests of my little Zii?" He asked, feeling somewhat happy and sad to realise how fast his children were growing up.
Soon they wouldn't need him anymore...
"That way we can both keep an eye on her, right?" And there were his own protective instincts kicking in.

Azar grinned at her father before nuzzling him. "Yeah I do." She made a face thinking back to when she met him. She tired her hardest to forget that little meeting that they had, it wasn't her favorite encounter that she has had. There was a few of them that she tried to forget. She flicked her tail around as she thought before looking at her dad. "Well... I'd have to say... I think is name was Rowtag... Or something like that. I'm not really that sure but I think that is what it is." She shrugged then looked up at her father
"You'll keep an eye on her too? Yay." She grinned at the idea, she didn't want her sister to be hurt.

Rowtag.
No. Not him.
Now it seemed that Kidondo was on Azar's side. That Rowtag...one of Kenna's children. He'd been sneaking around here. Acting...suspicious. He'd encouraged Azarax to take him on as an apprentice to keep an eye on him.
And now this male had his eye on one of his daughters? He swallowed back his irritation and worry and nudged gently against his daughter.
"Of course, love. We'll all keep an eye on her." He licked her across the head and smiled. "Perhaps we should go and find her, now?"

Azar really didn't notice her father's change in attitude even if it was for a second. She never really noticed those small mood swings anyway she looked up at him with wide eyes and a large grin on her face. "Yay! Daddy is going to help too." she giggled a little more before nipping at his ankles. "We are going to find sissy? Yay!" She giggled a little more before rubbing against his legs. "Can we play too!? Oh daddy lets gooo~"
