Do you dowse on a ghost hunt?What would you say is the best dowsing tool?

I can't say that I do. Most of my investigations consisted of EVP work and digital photos. It's not much but I do what I can afford.
I have seen dowsing rods being used once in a demonstration but I'm a little unconvinced of their accuracy. Is there information on them that I'm not aware of? Perhaps. But as of now, I'll stick to my guns.

I've only used Dowsing Rods twice. And I wasn't much for them. I prefer to go with EMF detectors, video cameras, EVP sessions, and photos taken by me or a friend.
Dowsing Rods do work, just they aren't my style of hunting.

I don't using dowsing rods, but I have used pendulums before. It's hard work to keep my hand from shaking but I have gotten some results. I haven't used any scientific approach, though (even though I know how it all works, I just don't bother with it).
I don't actually "ghost hunt" since I don't need to hunt for them, they just kind of come to me. @_@

I can sense energy myself. Considering I'm a Medium and Clairvoyant. But still, to prove to others that they're there. I use tools.

I can sometimes feel, see and hear ghosts, but I also like using my rods! To me, they are further proof of what I am sensing. I have had ghosts talk to me using the rods, and also lead me to their graves.
One time my mother wanted to try them, so I handed them to her. She jumped and literally thrust them back at me. She was shocked that there was electricity running through them! I explained to her that it was energy from the ghosts, that was moving them! She wont touch them again! Lol! She prefers to operate the tape recorders and occassionally the EMF's!
I find that rods are a useful and necessary tool when in a haunted location. They may not be scientific, but they get results!

FlameCurse I thought also that you could find water with dowsing rods? You can. I have done that once before. I have heard of using dousing rods for ghosts but never tried it. actually I have never had a chance to go on an actual ghost hunt before. But I would like to someday.
