((This is a roleplay copied from my guild. We're just starting it, so I figured I should test it out.))

February 18, 2019. 1452 hours.

"I do not want to start this entry off as a faery tale, but once upon a time, this land was very properous. The dry, baron lands you see now were inhabited by lushous green fields, trees as tall as the eye can see. And the deathy mountain off in the distance, well that used to be home of the worlds most refreshing hot springs. Unfortunately, everything came to hell.

One day, several years ago, the world was full a blooming. Elves lived in their wooded homes, completely undisturbed, Weres ran through the frozen hills on the horizon; Vampires in the caves of Eldern. Needless to say, the humans were still advancing in their sciences, completely unfathemed by the numerous threats from other folk. Angels fell from the sky, heeding the warning of God, trying to prevent the Human race from creating a serum that would allow them to live as long as the other races could. Needless to say, they engineered it anyway.

All hell broke loose. The serum worked, but a little too well. The human test subject, Aalderk Ghoyt, was not able to handle it was well as they thought he would. He grew to seven feet in one day. He was already a full grown man at six foot three inches. His muscle flourished, taking him to a weight of roughly one-hundred and fourty-three pounds, to well over one-eighty. Doctors could do nothing, and one day, God came down himself. The humans laughed at the sight, saying he looked nothing like the Catholic churches depicted him to be. As Judgement, God reigned his wrath on the human race. The were all wiped out, but a few survived.

Aalderk was one. He wandered to the Mountains of Heere, and plunged himself into the volcano on top. Spiraling down, he found himself awoken in Hell. Lucian blessed him as his heir, casting him farther into darkness itself. Together, they destroyed Medium Earth. They dried the rivers, scorched the woods and fields, and cast an everlasting tempest on top of Were Plateau. The world fell into ruin, as consequence of our actions.

We, tried. Arrogance is our nature, and well, we have been forced to deal with our consequences. As the last human known, I ask of you: Find the portals, find Aalderk, and find Lucian!

-Last entry of Doctor Tre..." (The last words are worn away from time.)

"Many diverse races of creatures lived throughout the world of Freelance. The extent of these creatures are unknown, but from my research, this is what I've gathered:

Humans
Fairly intelligent, but greedy. Some have pure hearts, and live to do wonderful things for the world. However, people like those of Project Edin, have the darkest hearts of all. We possess no magical abilities, no true skills, but have supreme building, engineering and fighting talents. Our race has since been extinct, as of a month following Judgement Day.

Elves (Woodfolk)
As per my research, and others along, the extent to their age is yet unknown. Their king was a estimated four hundred years and counting. They age differently than us humans, but look absolutely beautiful. Their song and dance are lustful, and few humans make it alive from their woods. They are the most intelligent, and possess great speed and agility. It is rumored that they can communicate with the Wood itself.

Vampires ('Children' of the Moon)
These creatures live to roughly two hundred years. They constantly go under a change of leadership, and can flourish well on their own. Masters of strength and pain, it is best not to find yourself alone in a group with them. Human or not; especially if the person reading this is a Were. Your war still carries on today. They can move about the land during the day, but their true identity reveals itself during the night.

Angels (Offspring of God)
Angels are foreverly immortal. Although there are rumors as to how to kill one, I have found no such truth. Most are unable to fly, most contrary to popular belief. They are masters of light and emotions, and can easily manipulate a mortal's thoughts. It takes great magicks however, to manipulate any other race. Angels have a twisted sense of humor, and absolutely love irony.

Were (Beasts with human features)
Beasts such as these, could only be fantasized about. They do not actually live in wolf form, and can actually prevent themselves from changing during a full moon. They do, however live in what we scientists call 'Sapien Form'. They look just like young, human adults. Most have bright green or blue eyes, and they are champion runners. They can heal their wounds in a matter of one night's sleep, and can eat massive meals."
