Physical Description: Beka stands at 5'10", and she's not even done growing yet. She's pale like milk, with freckles that dash her nose and shoulders. Red hair, with large bright green eyes and a smile that lights up a room. She's all limbs, even at this age, and there is nothing curvy or womanly about her figure. She's lean like a boy, with the addage of a tiny bit of chest and hip. Minus some other parts though, of course.

Beka is fit, and perfectly in shape. Slender in all aspects, and is the sort that can eat whatever she wants without fear of what it'll do to her figure. Her hair is long, always put into a braid that sits over one shoulder or another. She's often in men's clothing, slacks and shirts of various browns and blues.

Personality: Beka isn't your normal fussy female. Never was, never will be. She's outgoing, and lively. Loving life and every second of it. Always helping out those she's close to, and spending her time as she sees fit. She isn't a fusspot, or some sort of prissy creature who bats her eyes at every good looking male that walks her way.

Instead, most people would call her a man! She never balks at bugs, or dangerous dares. In fact, she never backs down from anything, and doesn't take lip from anyone. A tomboy, if you will. It's never occurred to her to be any other way. This doesn't mean that she doesn't like boys, she's just not met the right one to make her want to act like a "silly woman".

There are dark points to her persona. She's a trusting, people pleaser. More often than not she'll trust even the sketchiest of people. This isn't always the safest thing, but since she's always been in the weyr it hasn't been a problem just yet. She also loves to make people smile and laugh, even if it hurts. She's always smiling and laughing, never letting any sort of pain show through. Because she wants to be accepted by her peers, she takes jokes in the worst way. Beka just never shows it.


History: Beka is the result of a mating flight between a blue and a green rider. As soon as she was old enough, Beka was carted away to be raised with other children of the weyr as such. She knew who her mother was, but her father was never named for some odd reason. Little Beka was about five years old when there was an accident, and her mother died. It didn't faze the child too much, as she wasn't close to her mother.

Instead the little thing became needy. She needed to see people smile, needed people to love her. Beka became outgoing, loving, and an all together smiling person. She often got into trouble with certain figures in the weyr because she was always doing things she shouldn't; via dares from the other children.

She spent many afternoons growing up tussling with the boys. She learned to wrestle, and fight like any one of them and had just as many bruises as any one of them. Some of the girls turned their noses down on her for it, so Beka retreated and stopped making so many friends with females her own age. Instead she laughed with the boys.

After she hit puberty, she shot up like a weed. Beka had always been a little short for the boys, a little taller than the girls, however at this point she shot past everyone. For a long while, she was the tallest of both genders of children, and was often teased about it. The pale girl merely blushed and played it off even when it hurt. Because she had no sense of direct family, she merely wished to become accepted by everyone else. This doesn't always happen.

There was one place she could find solace in the entire weyr, with the dragons. When other kids teased her, she retreated to find some of the older riders and their dragons. The elders were always at ease, letting Beka help wash the dragons or oil their skin, etc. She fell in love with the creatures, and has always hoped that one day she would be able to ride in the skies with her friends.
