Not at all. Fear equips us to be able to run away from an enemy, or protect us from situations that aren't healthy. If we stood on the precipice overlooking Niagra Falls and felt no fear, we could easily slip and fall into it, or just stupidly jump in and die.
Lust, drives our ability to procreate. Without it, there wouldn't be much sexual desire for either gender, why bother with all the aggravation that having a relationship represents? Sex.
Hate equips us to hate evil and do something about it. Without the hatred for war and tyrants and evil situations, people wouldn't be motivated to try to change those things.
Everything is necessary in its own place, at its own time.

It sounds out there but I believe it to be true. I say it without hesitation all the time.
Everything inside of us, we need. It is a good and perfect gift from God. The problem is that we end up using our gifts out of season, setting, and more often than not without maturity.
The more we grow, the more re understand how to use our "super powers" for good, not evil.
