Private RP between Dorian Cromwell(x____Doctor Ruri), Verdant Lindstorm(XxLoveLikeWinter13xX), and Shade Flereous (Impy Kun).

Location: Elysian Gardens' Lobby
Time: 12:30pm
Weather: Clear and pleasant
PostPosted: Fri Jun 26, 2009 10:21 pm

Shade glanced around as he entered the lobby of the Elysian Garden's, trying to see if his friend, Verdant, was there yet. They'd made arrangements a few days ago for him to come here when the nymph got off work at the Nursery - apparently, Verdant wanted him to meet a friend of his. The shy impling wasn't really sure of what to expect, but he assumed that this person would be friendly, whoever they were. He couldn't see Verdant hanging out with someone unpleasant.

Upon not seeing anyone, Shade leaned back against the wall of the lobby, his tail swishing through the hole in the back of his pants. He'd been relieved by the fact that it hadn't been too hot out today - he had a hard time in hot weather. It seemed that mother nature had seen fit for a pleasantly warm day though, which he was grateful for. Hopefully, it would stay like this for the rest of the day.

His mind drifted back to the matter of Verdant's friend - all Shade knew about him was that his name was Dorian. Other than that, he had no information on this new person he'd be meeting. He hoped he'd be able to make a good impression - he didn't want to make an idiot of himself in front of one of Verdant's friends!

Verdant was at Elysian Gardens, but was avoiding the Lobby like the plague. Sure, he was the one who'd called Shade and Dorian over to the nursery in the first place, but he was starting to get cold feet now. Really, how exactly did one go about telling two guys he really liked that he wanted to be with both of them? They'd either hate him and label him as a slut for the rest of their lives, or they could welcome the idea with open arms. He was really hoping it'd be the latter...

This was usually the part where Orpheus would start fussing over him and try to sing him songs to boost his already-low morale, but he was with Aoi and Elst at the moment. If he didn't know any better, he'd say that little drake had a thing for the flower child... but it was probably just because Aoi always had those candies with him.

Dorian casually walked towards Elysian Gardens, the place that Ver had asked him to show up at. Apparently he was meeting one of Ver's friends. He almost purred with pleasure at the notion, it was a good thing that the younger man was trying to integrate the doctor into his life. Meant they were getting closer right? Besides, recently.....with Ver around he didn't think about Marianna. Flipping the posh cellphone in his pocket open to look at both the time and to see if Marius had left him any messages, he frowned as he found that he was both a little late, and that the little Proto hadn't called. He had to say, he'd grown to love the little guy, and he'd become invaluable as an assistant. He even knew how to handle Claudia most days on his own. He was reading a lot of romance novels though, which wasn't very abnormal since Dorian had quite a few in his library.

Standing outside the building, he looked in the reflective glass window and straightened his long tight coat, form fitted for him with silver filigree along the button seam and collar, but he'd left that open today to show off the tight undershirt that went up his neck like a turtleneck, but cut off to show his midriff. It didn't have sleeves, so he wasn't hot underneath the jacket, and to finish the outfit was a pair of dark dark jeans with silver fleur de lis' on the back pockets, where just underneath the bellbottoms of the feet you could see a peek of the 'click-clacking' boots he had on today. They were a deep burnished silver, and finished the outfit with a gentle sense of style carried throughout. He'd put a lot of thought into it, as always, and had his hair tied back severely in a high ponytail, making his face and eyes even more striking than usual.

Running a finger over one of his manicured eyebrows, he smiled completely pleased as punch, and made his way into the lobby with pride and flourish. Looking around eagerly, he almost visibly wilted a little when he did not see Verdant. He DID see a young man with a swishing tail though, and so walked over to him with a pleasant smile, and clasped his hands behind his back as he leaned over the shorter man a bit.

"You wouldn't happen to know where a boy named Verdant is, do you? That little tart invited me here to meet one of his good friends, and now I can't find either of them anywhere. Oh! How rude of me.....I just barreled into asking questions and didn't even give you my name. I'm Dorian Cromwell. Pleasure to meet you," he purred with his usual suave and casual air, cocking his head so the high snow white ponytail fell over to one side pleasantly.

“Damn it, why won’t my hands stop shaking?!” Verdant hissed to himself as he tried his hardest to stop freaking out. He’d never felt this way before, never felt so much anxiety about talking to someone he was so attracted to… never really felt so much compassion for someone he cared for. Not only that, but there were two men he felt this way about; his anxiety had just doubled at the thought. “Oh gods, I don’t know if I can do this…”

Oh, yes you can. You called them here for a damn good reason. Yes, you’re young and stupid (VERY STUPID), but they must really mean something to you if you’re willing to leave your heart open to them like this. Just do it. Dorian and Shade will wanna talk about it, of course, but that‘s to be expected, right? Just go already!

Verdant took a deep breath, dusted off his corset and breeches, and walked out towards the Lobby. He could see Dorian and Shade in the Lobby waiting for him; damn, they looked good. His anxiety dropped a little as it was replaced with an equal amount of lust.

“H-hey, Dorian, Shade. I hope you haven’t been waiting too-” And then Verdant tripped over one of Orpheus’ ******** golden apples. That little wyvern was so going to get it when he got back. “Ow…”

Dorian chuckled softly when Verdant showed up and consequently tripped over a little golden apple. With a warm smile, he walked over the the younger man and picked him up easily, dusting him off and stepping back with a frown, then cocking his head and pushing a strand of loose hair behind Verdant's ear, smiling once more with a finger mischievously perched on his lips. Latching his arm in with Verdant's, he led him over to Shade and purred with content.

"Now darling, what did you call us here for? Though I can't say I'm not happy to meet this Shade character." he smiled, cocking his head just enough to look down at the smaller, younger man. Without realizing it, Dorian had unlooped arms with Verdant and began to stroke his back softly, sensing his nervousness and trying to soothe it gently.

Shade glanced up at the taller man who'd asked for Verdant. So this was Dorian! Well, he certainly seemed nice upon first glance...he hoped that they'd get along. "I'm...actually waiting for him too." He could feel his shyness creeping up again. He was about to introduce himself when he heard Verdant's voice, which caused him to look over his shoulder. He blinked as the nymph over a golden apple and winced a bit - that looked like it had been painful!

"Are you okay...?" he asked, moving forward to help the nymph to his feet. Dorian beat him to it though. He blinked as he watched the way the new man acted with Verdant - it didn't seem like the two of them were just friends. Perhaps they were merely very close to each other though...? That's what he told himself - there was a nervous feeling welling up though. Still, he managed to smile at Dorian before he looked to Verdant with the same question in his eyes. It would do him no good to jump to conclusions after all, and he didn't want to make a scene should he be wrong.

Verdant would normally have been comforted by Dorian's acts of kindness, but it was just making it that much harder for him to tell them why they were here. Still, he might as well just say it; it might help out the embarrassment that came with tripping over an apple. He led Dorian over to a chair next to Shade before walking back and hopping onto the counter. He took in a deep breath and looked up at them nervously.

"Well, you see, I... well, I wanted to... oh, ******** dammit this is a lot harder for me to say than I thought... I know I'm risking a lot by asking this, but... would you two... be willing to... try out a... three-way relationship?" Verdant swallowed dryly before clearing his throat and continuing. "I've... I've been thinking about this a lot lately. I have to admit, even I'm skeptical about it, but I... it's worth it to be with you both. I know you've both just met and it's something that will definitely need to be discussed, but I'm more than willing to do anything... for you guys..."

Verdant gripped the edge of the counter as he braced himself for whatever reactions he might get from Dorian and shade. His hands had begun to tremble harder than ever and his throat felt really dry.

Shade watched as Verdant brought Dorian over to a chair to sit down and quickly took a seat next to the older man. What WAS it that Verdant had to say anyway? He soon got his answer as the nymph took a seat on the counter and began explaining himself. For the most part, Shade was surprised to say the least. He hadn't been expecting the older male to propose something like this when he'd called him here. How long had Verdant been thinking about this?

The impling boy wasn't sure of what to say - a three-way relationship? Would they really be able to pull something like that off? And then there was the fact that he'd have to keep this from his mother - keeping his relationship with Verdant a secret was hard enough! Would he be able to do it with two people? Especially when both of them were much older than him? He was a minor, for crying out loud...they'd all get in trouble if anyone found out! And what if he didn't get along with Dorian? Then what? Honestly, he didn't know what to say right now. There were...too many questions and worries flying through his mind. He glanced over to Dorian, wondering what the older man was thinking about all of this. Verdant HAD been seeing them both, technically...would he be angry? Shade himself wasn't sure whether or not to be mad...the nymph WAS being honest with them. Either way...he'd have to get to know Dorian before they did anything like that. He fidgeted a bit, shyness overcoming him at the thought of it.

"I...I-I think...we s-should d-definitely...t-talk f-first..." And there he went, stumbling over his words as he finally managed to find his voice again. Why did he have to be so nervous all the time?
PostPosted: Mon Jul 06, 2009 10:24 pm

Dorian sat down patiently and crossed his leg over his knee, leaning on it and waiting for Verdant's explanation. Obviously the nymph wanted to talk about something important or he wouldn't be having so much trouble....or using muttered foul language though that wasn't TOO FAR out ot the ballpark for him. When he got his answer, Dorian merely sat up from his leaning position, his back straight and blinking, his hand suspended in the air under his chin in an endearing way. Letting his hand slowly fall to rest on his knee, he looked over to Shade, brushing some hair out of the boy's face with a small frown. Looking to Verdant, he pursed his lips a second, thinking over the ramifications of this.

He was twenty-nine. He was getting older by the day. The boy didn't even look to be eighteen yet, much less the usual twenty-something that Dorian hunted after usually. He could be arrested for this, if he so much as looked at the boy with lust in his eyes. Would he be able to handle the temptation once he got to know him? Cocking his head and putting his hand back in his lap as he thought about this, he closed his eyes with a small sigh. No. He didn't want the boy right now. He wanted Verdant. Verdant made her go away, and he was thankful for the moments he could be free of the ghosts of his past. He didn't want to lose Ver, even if they weren't actually dating or anything. Though he didn't mind the notion.

Finally snapping his crimson eyes open, he looked straight up at Verdant, unwavering and composing himself into the mature adult he could be at times, his commanding presence immediately taking control of the situation. Standing up abruptly, he walked over to where the nymph was perched, and put both his hands on the counter, one on each side of Verdant, and put his forehead to his.

"Do you know what you're asking of me, Ver?" he said calmly, another small sigh escaping his lips as he pushed himself away from Verdant, taking more keenly to pacing back and forth in front of the pair of sitting boys. And they WERE boys, compared to him. Running his hands through his hair he looked to the ceiling as he paced.

"I could go to prison if anything happened between me and little Shade. He doesn't even look legal, Ver, and that would send YOU to prison as well. It would cost you your career, and mine......and Claudia.....no one would be there to care for her, or Marius. Marius can handle things without me quite well, but without my paycheck coming in he'll run out of food eventually and I'm sure he's fond of not starving......" he went on to explain, not really ranting or with any anger in his voice, just that same calm, collected, graceful speech that put his mind at ease when faced with a problem of any size. Stopping his pacing, he crossed his arms and looked between the two of them.

"In any case, Shade and I need to spend time together WITHOUT you to get to know eachother before it can truly be called a three-way relationship anyways. I have no qualms about dating you my dear, as I'm quite fond of you and you soothe my worries frequently when you're around......but I need to know I'll be fond of Shade as well before I commit myself to something that could potentially ruin all our lives." he nodded, his tone letting them both know that while he wasn't opposed to the idea outright and actually welcomed it, that he was still thinking about the practicality of the situation.

"If you want to pursue this, there need to be rules." he simply stated, leaning against the wall next to Shade and glancing down warmly at him, squeezing his shoulder gently to reassure him. "No need to be so stressed out, little bird, I'm not nearly as dangerous as I look and I don't bite often," he smiled down at him. He knew the boy must be nervous about this whole situation. For gods sakes, not every teenager was approached by a twenty-something and a man almost in his thirties for a relationship. There was good reason to be scared senseless.

Verdant flinched when Dorian began walking towards him. He had expected a slap in the face or a barrage of angry words, but was met with nothing of the sort. Dorian had merely pressed his forehead to his. That tiny gesture, simple as it was, was enough to make tears start welling up in the nymph’s eyes. He blinked them back and listened to Dorian as he spoke. Everything Dorian said was true. Claudia and Marius would suffer dearly should something happen to Dorian because of them, because of Verdant’s proposal. He was feeling increasingly selfish and childish with each passing second. What would’ve happened to Orpheus if Verdant was arrested? That very thought was enough to make Verdant reel. How could he have possibly thought of asking them something that, as Dorian had aptly put it, “could potentially ruin all our lives”.

But… Dorian didn’t seem completely opposed to the idea and neither did Shade. Verdant finally looked up at the other men and smiled weakly; he wasn’t sure if smiling would upset one of them. Hell, what if it made them think he had no shame or that he thought this was some stupid joke? That wiped the grin off his face quite quickly.

“I do want to pursue this. I can live with rules. Hell, I’d welcome them.” Verdant bit the inside of his cheek before continuing. “I know the consequences would be devastating, I know that… but… I don’t…” The words got caught in Verdant’s throat; he couldn’t finish that sentence even if he tried. Instead, he quietly excused himself and quickly strode into the storage room for something to drink. He dug around the clutter he should’ve had cleaned by now and found a bottle of water. He downed it in two gulps and closed his eyes. Dorian wasn’t angry with him, simply wary, trying to make Verdant realize the repercussions that would come from their actions. Shade was stressing out about the entire ordeal, of that much he was sure. He seriously wished he could be half as composed and collected as Dorian always was.

Shade couldn't help but feel a little surprised when Dorian brushed at some of the bangs that hung in his face. He hadn't been expecting that from the older man. He watched quietly as Dorian stood up and listened as the adult began to speak. The impling shifted slightly as he listened, knowing that both Verdant and Dorian would get into a lot of trouble if anyone found out. He'd get in trouble too, but it definitely wouldn't be as bad. He'd probably just have to go see a counselor or something. They'd go to jail! There was a fairly significant difference between the two. If only he were at least two years older.

The boy stared down at the floor, lost in his own thoughts for a few moments before he was brought out of it by Dorian putting a hand on his shoulder. He looked up at him and nodded, calming a little as the older male spoke. Well, maybe him and Dorian would get along if nothing else. After a few moments, Shade managed to smile a bit, though he still looked rather shy - he was always like that around new people though.

The black impling turned his head to Verdant as the nymph left the room - was he alright? Shade hoped so. He chewed on his lip, wondering if this would really work. Verdant and Dorian would have no trouble dating each other, but...having him in the mix would definitely make things more than a little difficult. He certainly didn't want to ruin any of their lives...but he didn't want to lose Verdant either. Maybe he was selfish, but...he couldn't help it. He'd never felt this way about anyone before...and he was willing to take the risk for it.

Dorian frowned softly watching Verdant excuse himself to go into another room for a moment. Shaking his head, he went back to the counter and dug into his pocket gently, cradling something in his hand and placing it on the counter top, leaning over it with more stress and panic on his face than he cared for anyone to see. Contrary to popular belief, Dorian's mind was reeling, and his guilt was kicking in at an alarming rate as he looked at the little tarnished trinket on the counter. Biting his lip with his back turned to Shade, he cradled his forehead in his hands, leaning over the calming trinket and wondering what to do.

True, he wanted so much to let go and just say yes with no underlying motives or anything attached to make things complicated but......but still. That same old ghost was haunting him and making him remember his past promises, the obligations he was supposed to keep, the little girl at home that needed someone to care for her......the wife he couldn't let go. He didn't deserve this selfish happiness for himself, not really, especially not after his past crimes. He shouldn't be tainting Verdant with these things that he inevitably would, he shouldn't be exposing little Shade to his influences and corrupt the youth. Snagging the ring from the counter, he held his hand up silently to ask Shade for a moment to recover the nymph from the other room, and stalked in there, finding Verdant chugging down a bottle of water. No doubt worrying over their reactions.

Without saying a word, Dorian slipped up behind Verdant and clutched the nymph's hands taking the bottle out of them gently without ever letting Ver face him. Leaning his forehead on the back of Ver's own head, he sighed softly, the only noise in the room, and manipulated Verdant's hands into his own, closing the nymph's hand over something in his hands. With a shaky hand that betrayed how scared and concerned about all this he was, he held Verdant's hand closed around the item.

"I.....When you want to leave me, leave this....just give this back to me so I'll know......." he said softly, forcing himself to take his hands away and turn from the nymph. Wiping some tears from his eyes quietly, Dorian regained the composure everyone expected him to have. "Come on, my dear Siren.....our little bird needs us to be in control right now. It's obvious he wants you as much as I do. We'll simply have to share for now until we get to know one another better....let's go set the ground rules so there's less risk involved," he said quietly, more of a gentle demand than a suggestion. He would not go out and council the child alone. Verdant had to be a man if he wanted this, and act like a commanding power. If Dorian had to force him, so be it.....god only knew the doctor had to force himself to give the nymph his wedding ring. His symbol of surrender to all of Verdant's wishes.

PostPosted: Tue Jul 07, 2009 10:36 pm

Verdant nearly jumped out of his skin when Dorian walked up behind him. He hadn't been expecting him to come looking for him; he'd only been gone a minute or so. Verdant couldn't help but flush as Dorian took his hands in his. He enjoyed being held like this so much...

Verdant felt his hands close around something small; why were Dorian's hands trembling so much? Verdant blinked a bit in surprise. So, he was just as nervous as he was, as they were? The nymph looked down at the item Dorian had placed in his hands and frowned. It was a worn, but beautiful wedding band... Dorian's wedding band... Verdant whirled around to face Dorian, not even realizing that tears had begun to cascade down his pale cheeks. "Dorian... if that's what this means, then you had better not think you'll be getting this back." He strode over to Dorian and hugged him tight, as if letting go was not an option. "Do you think I'd ask you to risk everything for me, then turn my back on you? How about having a little more faith in me?" His voice was timid and forced, but Verdant meant every word. Dorian had given him something very dear to him, more valuable than Verdant could even hope to comprehend, and he'd done it for him.

Reluctantly, the nymph let go of Dorian and held his hand firmly in his. "Let's go then. Set all the rules you want," Verdant said as he kissed Dorian's forehead. "So long as I don't lose this, I'll be happy."

Dorian smiled softly at Verdant's simple acceptance of his gift, his treasure, and giving him a new one in return. Gripping Verdant's hand tightly he nodded, regaining his composure completely, his natural confidence and command firmly back in place as he led Verdant out of the little room. Bringing him out to face the young boy, he took the chair next to him and sat it across from him, pulling Verdant down into his lap roughly and holding not TOO tight, but just tight enough that Verdant should know where his permanant parking place in this conversation would be. Looking pointedly to Shade, and then to Verdant, he nodded once and took a breath to start dictating and laying down the law. In the back of his mind he knew he shouldn't be taking all the control and choices away from the pair, but felt it needed to be done. Besides, he never was one to bottom out for anyone, not even Verdant.

"Alright. I've fully committed myself to this plan. If you have no qualms about it Shade, I'd like to propose some important rules.

One. We need a schedule on who's getting who, and on what days. I'm sure we both want Verdant all the time, but we'll have to be adults and share. Not to mention I'd like time with you away from Ver just so we can get to know one another and become friends if nothing else.

Two. I want to be very clear on how far each of us is willing to go as far as the physicality of the relationship goes. I cannot say what my boundaries for Shade are at this moment, except that I'm not touching him in a way that will put me in jail until I think it's truly worth it. As for Verdant, I would caution you on it and if you're planning on doing it please come to my house and use my guest room instead of some random hotel or something so you don't get in trouble. As far as Verdant and I go, I have very few restrictions personally."
he drawled, nodding at the end, and taking a breath to think up some more things. Looking out to some of the hanging plants, he softened from his almost buisness-like demeanor and smiled at Shade.

"Other than that, just general things like 'feel free to call anytime'. Oh! And if the two of you ever need somewhere to crash and get away from everyone, feel free to stay at my apartment. I'll make extra keys for the two of you so you can sleep when I'm not there.

The only time you can't reach me at all is when you get my voicemail on my cellphone, because that means I'm in the lab with my coworkers and am working on something important. If anyone else would like to add to the conversation, feel free. I just wanted to get my own personal rules out there. Ah, wait, I have one more.

Three. When I tell one of you to STOP, I expect you to stop doing whatever you're doing. I'll probably only say that if I'm very angry or very tired, but I wanted to warn you that I do get ornery on certain topics, and Verdant, you are never to discuss her"
he said resolutely, nodding his head and giving Verdant a pointed look that said 'do not mess with that old wound or you will regret it'. He had no problem, well okay he had a major problem, giving his wedding ring to hte nymph. But he wouldn't stand for any questions about her. That was for him and Claudia, and now Marius, to know and everyone else to keep out of.
