Castor walked up the rocky mountain, but walked only to the midsection of the mountain and sat on a rock waiting for his partner and opponents. "Kasen-sama should be here soon..." Castor thought as he looked around and waited for them.

Dusty wind swept through the area as small pebbles of rocks fell down the ground as someone was walking up the mountain. Holding the zanpakuto set at his waist, he made sure it was kept in place and wouldn't fall down as he looked up and saw Castor on a rock waiting for him. "You look tense Castor, don't worry about what happens. This is just the calm before the storm, we haven't fought yet, so don't be afraid as we signed up for this exact thing and hopefully get the most out of our opponents." Kasen said making sure Castor would remain calm and relax him before the fighting began. Kasen jumped onto a boulder next to Castor and took his sheathed zanpakuto and held it downward like a cane waiting for the remaining two members in this tournament's round.

To say Nicholas was nervous was no doubt an understatement. Any braver man than he right now would've probably fainted at the idea of the ordeal Nicholas had placed himself in.
Armed combat? Against 2 opponents he'd never met before? With a partner he'd never even talked to before? Was he nuts?
A small voice in his head, his ever present zanpaktou spirit firmly agreed with Nicholas' rhetoric that yes. Yes he was insane.
He strode, the very air of confidence and supremacy about him as he casually regarded his two opponents. Inwardly he gulped. This...didn't look good for him, the two looked like quite the skilled match and they seemed to share a common goal. Whilst they may not be the best doubles in the tournament, they at least had something they could work on together.
"Beats whatever I and whatsisface has..." He thought dryly to himself.
Ya know, you're lucky no one can here what you think. Me on the otherhand? Not so lucky.
"Thank you Wu Ming. Always a bundle of joy and optimism aren't you? You just know exactly what to say to keep my nerves down."
The two bantered back and forth, their two man routine being more than enough to quell some of the nervousness forming within Nicholas as he himself took a seat at a boulder, facing the two.
"Come on man, you've veterened 2 wars already. This should be cake for you"
Well, that was true. On one occasion he did face off against the Espada themselves (though it was a Captain in the end who repelled the b*****d), but he knew that he mostly spent his time in both wars fighting off waves of Hollows, who held little challenge to even the weakest of Shinigami.
"No point in monologue it seems. Once my partner arrives we can get this show on the road."
He swept his hat off to the two before him, giving a short bow before returning it to his head.
"Nicholas D. Tenukage. Squad Five. Pleasure to meet you."

Ike quietly sat on one of the benches outside of the mountain, watching as three Shinigami began combat. He wasn't the type to duel himself, but it was basically free entertainment. He had something to watch while he had a snack, and without even lifting a finger or speaking a word to make it happen. Nice. Very nice indeed. Ike smiled as he relaxed and settled down to watch the fight. Let the young have their fun, and he could just do whatever. It was nice to have things this way and not have all the burdens of rank... though deep down, he did wish he could let loose every now and then. But he had to stay as he was, a normal Shinigami, to be happy. Hm Where is my partner? and 2 partners against me and who? He thought to himself while smiled at them. "Which are you my partner? I guess Im Axel Ike, Squad 8."

(Order: Kasen, Ike, Castor, and Nicholas)
Kasen looked at the two and bowed at the sight of the two and simply said ,"Kasen Tsuin of Squad 10 at your service." He said smiling at the two and moved his waist up as he unsheathed his zanpakuto and pointed it at Ike and Nicholas. "Hello and good luck." Kasen said smirking as he jumped off the boulder which avalanches it off at anyone in the path of the boulder. Kasen ran at Nicholas and slashed downward at his left shoulder as he jumped upward.

(Sure)
Ike put his hand on his hilt and turned to face him. "So you wanna spar then, well ok." Ike in half a second was now in front of Castor, he started saying something before he had moved to this spot and ended as he moved. "Hadou #4 - Byakurai, Blast gods. Decimate the foes body, and steal their mind." Ike had his finger pointing at Castor's chest that shot lightning from his finger at him in almost a milisecond.

Castor unsheathed his zanpakuto and blocked the lightning as he using the blade's ability to conduct lightning to redirect the lightning attack back at Ike as he used his knowledge of elements to block it. Castor then jumped forward and slashed at Ike's chest in a second as he used his left leg to kick off Ike's body before he landed.

"Right back at you."
It looked like the time for words had passed. His "team mate", a man named Axel Ike had arrived and the match seemed to be on its way. Out of the corner of his eye, he watched with a detached sense of interest as Castor reflected forked lightning from Ike's hands back towards him, a skill he pulled off which much ease.
A lightning ability maybe? He will be a difficult one to fight...
He stored such information into the back of his head, instincts and Wu Ming screaming at him as he felt, rather than saw Kasen's attack come towards him, the man carried by a charge of rocks.
"An avalanche? Smart move." Simple strategy there. Split up the team mates, corner one of them, finish them quickly and then run off for support. Kasen would seek to end this fight quickly it seemed...
He hit the floor with a roll, grabbing his black short sword as he straightened, unsheathing the blade in one smooth movement to parry Kasen's downward sword strike, temporarily suspending the boy as he traded looks with the 10th Squader.
"Something like this won't be enough to beat me..." He chided, a pleasant smile on his face, before he pushed the man back, off his sword.
"I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, and assume you were simply gauging out my skill...In that case, I'll go semi-seriously for you then. See if you can catch up and all."
His spare hand gripped the longsword strapped to his back, the rope holding the blade down splitting as he drew the blue ornament, the transparent sword glittering in the sunlight as he casually examined the blade, regarding it like some old friend.
"You have no idea...how long I've been waiting for a good fight...Please grant me my wish..." It wasn't clear whether he was speaking to Kasen, or the swords he wield as Nicholas crouched down low into a familiar stance, the twin blades positioned before him in an attacking position, bent slightly towards each other. A pregnant pause, enough time for a small breath of air and Nicholas was off, a flutter of some black material and a glint of his blades before he landed before his opponent, the heavy longsword hammering down on him, like some enlightened strike from the Gods themselves, whilst his short sword hung back, watching and waiting for the boy's inevitable retaliation.
He was going for a high shot, similar to Kasen's own strike, only modified slightly to his tastes. Reiatsu bled off the sword freely, forming a visible layer of baby blue reiatsu as Nicholas exploited the upperhand he held: The swords weight, his arms strength, the support of gravity and the enhancement of reiatsu all had to be factored in by Kasen as he moved to parry...He'd need the right amount of strength if he wanted to keep his sword in tact from Nicholas' attack.
"5 Second SMASH!" One of Nicholas' trademark "5 Second" attacks, a set of moves he had created long ago in the training fields of Squad Three. Each move required a ridiculous amount of reiatsu, yet rewarded the user in its promise for maximum damage. Already, Nicholas could picture it: A small, yet very deep crater in the middle of the field where Kasen stood, imprinting itself forever in the battlegrounds they stood in.
But he wasn't done yet. After all, so far he had done nothing more than attack Kasen with a simple sword strike. Sure, it was ridiculously powerful, but simple nonetheless. It would be easy, far far too easy for him to either dodge it or parry it. What he needed was a failsafe...something to support his initial attack. And he had it in his right hand, the jet-black short sword Kiba had made for him so long ago, its tip already charged with reiatsu, so that it adapted a shape and illusion that was more appropriate for say, a lance or a spear of some sort, the reiatsu pouring around it in a visible cone shape, ending in a deadly looking point.
"5 SECOND STAB!" The short sword switched easily from defense to offense and followed through the downward strike, its aim Kasen's mid area, Nicholas timing the strikes to be within sheer milliseconds of each other.
And then came the exciting twist. He let go of the short sword, the blade rocketing forward. Nicholas had poured in the reiatsu not only to empower the sword...but to propel it forward!
This...prevented Kasen jumping backwards. His longsword's reach was more than enough to cover the distance provided by a jump back, whilst the short sword was still rocketing onwards, still targeting the soft flesh of Kasen.
Also, Nicholas' dominant hand was now free, and began adopting a stance fit for reiatsu use, appropriate considering his Squad.
Going to need something more area effected. Thinking Forked Lightning.
His fingers curled, adopting a more clawed expression, before he spread them out.
"HADO 4: WHITE LIGHTNING!" Thunder poured forward, filling the nostrils of everyone in the area with ozone as the white hot lightning shot off towards the sides, effectively sealing both combatants in a confined space, cutting them off from dodging to the side.
"What will you do now kiddo?" He whispered to himself, renewing his charge forward after his short sword, a small grin forming on his face. "What now?"

"Too much strategy and too much offense with a lot of precautions, that will be dangerous in a battle that would be in the long run...." Kasen thought as he watched each attack unfold after another giving him only defense in certain areas with little to move from. The only way for Kasen to block the two attacks was to parry both at the same time.
"Sting and Blaze, Kaosu Sasori!" His zanpakuto blade glowed fiery red and pitch black as his zanpakuto became a double-sided blade sword blocking the slash and hitting the stab with the side of the blade. "Powerful they seem, you give too much time Nicholas, that must be something else you can train..."
Kasen then swung his zanpakutos down at the the charging Nicholas simply saying ,"Now, we actually start fighting like people." Kasen said with a small grin, but soon changed it into a usual serious face in which he kicked forward.
He then attached his two zanpakutos back into their dual form blade and pulsed reiatsu into his zanpakuto which caused it to glow black on the upper side with the kanji for darkness glowing white and the bottom blade glowing red with the kanji of fire glowing orange. "Flame and Darkness arrows." Kasen said as he formed eight arrows;four flaming arrows and four darkness arrows formed of pure reishi and reiatsu.
"Any other five seconds techniques you're going to dish out, Nicholas-san?" Kasen said as he fired the arrows as he kicked upward at his legs to hit him above with darkness and fire and below with his legs to begin his attack on the body.
"Castor, you have to be able to keep up on your own until I can reach you and begin to combine our abilities together into a real team fight." Kasen thought as he originally wanted to fight together, but he believes he may have caused a fight for two separate battles.

"Regardless, you attack without a proper introduction and no warning at all. On an ally, in a 'spar.' Yes, I say it's disgraceful." Giving a slight bow, he unsheathed his Zanpakuto. He blocked Castor's slashed at him after Castor tried to use his leg left to kick off Ike's body then Ike used his arm left to blocked Castor's leg left. His face and tone unchanging. Standing to where only his right shoulder and arm were facing Castor, his back facing the same direction as Castor's left shoulder was. "Ladies first... since you were so eager to attack second." He muttered loud enough for Castor to hear.

"Sorry, been so tired this day that I forget to introduce myself, again. Castor Rei, 6th seat of Squad 10." Castor said as he brought up blade and slashed at Ike's right arm with his left arm charging reiatsu into the palm of his hand for a kido which he waited for the right moment to use against Ike. Waiting for his blade to make contact, he pushed forward at Ike with his hado being released. "Hado #1, Sho." He said to push Ike away after slashed from his blade.

Arrows, double sided sword AND he's not afraid to get up close and personal with me? My my, we may have a challenger here...
The kid had reacted well to his initial attack, although he was slightly disappointed to note that he had whipped out the shikai already. What was this? Did he not spend time mastering his zanpaktou skills before he started up shikai?
What to do then, what to do? As he faced the entourage of attacks Kasen had so graciously laid out for him, he contemplated the choices he had. Continuing with his zanpaktou attacks and his basic skills was very doable, albeit difficult. Bringing out his shikai would mix things up lovingly, but such tactics bored Nicholas. He came here looking for a challenge damn it, the odds pressed against him and all. Shikai tended to tip things to his favour, hence why he hadn't used it in the last few fights he had participated ******** it." He muttered, facing his death at the hands of darkness, flames and kicking with as much gusto as he possibly could. "Shikai it is."
"Almighty wind, heed my call and bring vengeance to my enemies...Wu ******** you
I love you too
"Invisible Sword of the Forgotten King..."
It was barely noticeable at first, but as the seconds passed the wind picked up, soon forming a howling gale that enveloped the two fighters, sending the arrows of darkness and flame off course, the projectiles colliding harmlessly with the ground, sending up billows of dust and rock. And just as soon as it began...
It stopped.
Nicholas stood, eyes downcast and shadowed by the brim of his hat. His gaze focused not on the fight Ike and Castor participated in, mere meters away, but instead at the colliding point between Kasen's foot and his blade. The only problem was...
There was no blade. To everyone's eyes, it seemed as though the limb had simply...stopped in mid air, suspended as if by some kind of supernatural force. With a grunt, Nicholas shoved, hoping to Grim that the surprise caused by his invisible sword would distract Kasen enough to not retaliate as Nicholas threw him off balance. He twisted his sword (no doubt it simply looked like he was spasming around with his hands) and started a new slice, finishing with a flourish and then slashing back down again.
This would no doubt be difficult for Kasen...at first at least...With no visible target, Kasen would have to concentrate very carefully if he hoped to defend himself at all. That meant a conservative strategy...Kasen on the defense, Nicholas on the offense. Any sane person wouldn't dare to fight back in such a situation, where they were disadvantaged by their inability to see the opponent they were fighting.
Then again...
Since when was any of your opponents sane? They have nothing to lose, just like you. If they wanted to, they'll attack anyway...
Nicholas didn't know it was possible to here someone smile, as Wu Ming added in his own two cents.
Ah, but if he did...he'd be walking right into our little trap wouldn't he?
Nicholas didn't respond, instead pressing his advantage and unleashing a series of slashes, toppled off with a downward ******** me, I'm having a bad day. Muse. Won't. Work. ARGGGHHH))

Kasen looked at Nicholas as he had stopped his movements and begun his thoughts of countering his attacks. He then continued to watch as he has unleashing his shikai which he continued to stall for a while, to make a plan in his head as he was probably using all possible plans for this new attack.
"Something's not right." Kasen said as Nicholas had begun a series of attacks that he could not see or could not figure out as he studied the person's movements, but not his strikes which were as if he was holding something that was not there.
"Sasori, got a plan?" He thought as he used as much time as he had before the two collided as he brought up his blade and had a single word and thought. "Fire" And with that thought, his zanpakuto was set a blaze with fiery reiatsu setting the air to burn while releasing a wall of fire to block for a short moment as he could only manipulate his reiatsu for a while.
"Dark Arrows." He said as he stopped controlling the flames momentarily to fire black arrows in multitudes of fours to distract Nicholas as much as he could to be strategical on this new threat. "Something not there, no something that I can't see...." Kasen thought as he wondered what the sword was, or what the abilities it can use in its released state and something was disturbing him.

Ike sighed, not wanting to do this, but he had no choice. Well, he did so far. But if it went so far that he had to, he would reveal his Shikai, something no one besides his own Vice-Captain Revlis has seen or even knows about. Currently, in his shikai form, Ike knews his abilities being strong enough to even come close to matching his opponent. He saw Castor shot his Sho at Ike's chest and Ike moved right but It caught his arm left. Ike don't care about his arm left got hurt by hado.
"Ah hell...you only live once... Let us dance then Castor, let us see if you can move the mountains"
Ike stood on the mountains, glaring at Castor, Everything was happening fast for Ike. This was the first time he has been in this battle for tourney. He put his head down into his hands and held onto his head, gripping tight. The fussing was getting to him and all he wanted to do get done with the damn battle. He didn't not beleive all of the battle against Castor but Ike had nothing to prove it. He sat queitly by himself, glancing at Castor from time to time. Ike knew he was the reason this whole battle was taking place but an outburst would interrupt the battle again and he didn't want to do anything foolish. Then Ike released his shikai. "Ignite, Buru-Kasai" enveloping his blade in blue fire.
"Hehe, let's get this thing started. You guys have torturing and torment to get back to, I wouldn't wanna hold you up."
"Flame Arc"
A small arc of blue fire and riatsu is fired at Castor through a regular slash of the blade. Ike sighed at him.
