Eve and Kyler were both in Eve's new pastry shop, Magical Treats. Tykier wasn't there because he was at his own job, being an employee for a coffee shop.
Kyler was eating his favorite doughnut that his Mom made. It was a chocolate covered doughnut with sprinkles scrunched up on the edge.
Eve, however, was getting the shop ready for customers, as usual. Making flying treats in the air, replacing the sweets in the display box, and trying to make her shop as magical as can be.

Julian stood outside the shop, looking in through the window. There were good smells coming from inside here...sweet things. He liked his sweets - though definitely not as much as his brother. Moderation was key - and was very interested by the scents that drew him here.
Mercedes? Oh, he ditched her a while ago. Honestly, the woman was so concerned about keeping his a secret, she got lost in trying to keep track of him. No, she was being frantic somewhere, getting her limo driver to scour the streets in search of the boy.
And they wouldn't be able to find him if he was in a shop, would they? Of course not. So inside he stepped, looking around with curious but cautious eyes.

Kyler heard the doorbell, "Momma! Customer!" His tentawings 'looked' at Julian.
"Hm?" She spinned around, "Hello, what can I get for-" Eve noticed the kid's unusual characteristics, "You must be a kid from the facility! Where's your guardian?" Eve looked to the outside.

Julian froze, still as stone, when he heard the bell go off. He had expected to walk in unnoticed...that was not going to be the case. Very well. He inspected the two people in the store, main eyes taking in the major details while the second set on his forehead took in the smaller ones.
Like a child who looked strange, like he and Zac looked strange. And a woman who talked like she knew things about where they were from.
"Mercy...went for a drive," Julian supplied, lying...but not really. When he moved again, it was like a statue come to life. "It's smells nice here."

Eve smiled, "Thank you! Would you like something?"
Kyler ate some of his doughnut, "You're another kid from that evil building?" He didn't know where the other boy was, so he just sat there.
"Kyler! That's very mean of you to say! That place is very kind! They gave you and your brother to me!" Eve was shocked.

Julian's ears perked at the offering of sweets and then he was further interested by the sound of a another voice. Approaching the counter, Julian peered around for whoever else was talking, but if no one owned up soon, he would offer a small smile at the woman.
"Sweets...yes. Thank you," he said, looking around for a place to sit. He was polite, that's for sure.
Though he definitely agreed with the unknown about the building he had come from.
"No...not a kind place," he stubbornly corrected the woman. "Mean...gave Zac away. Gave Jules to...Mercy lady."

Eve smiled, "What would you like, Sweetie?"
Kyler's tentawings touched Julian. "Mom..! They were mean to me..! You remember... One of them dragged me to you..." He said quietly, but just enough to let them hear. He pouted, felt around for his plate, picked up his doughnut, and ate it.

Julian inspected the spread of pastries, donuts, and various other delicious things; all four eyes widening slightly when they fell upon a rather large cookie that shimmered with white vanilla icing. Yes...that would do nicely.
He was pointing at the cookie in the display case when he felt the grace of something touching his third arm. His head snapped to look at it, and he retaliated by poking the...wing-thing.
"What this?" he asked, poking at it again.

Kyler 'looked' to Julian, "Those are my tentawings... I'm part lust, so I have tentacles, but since I'm part Kindness, as well, they have feathers, so they're also my wings..." His tentawings
With a wave of her hand, the cookie floated onto a plate, and landed in front of Jules, "There you go..."

His third arm hovered protectively over the cookie as it landed before him - the young boy wanting to comment on how'd she do that, but finding the threat of this 'tentawing' appendage much more confusing. And all that talk about...Lust, Kindness. What was all that about? Julian just thought Kyler was an odd looking fellow, much like himself.
But Julian, obviously, was much more interesting.
"Thank you," he said after some hesitation to the woman. Again, at least he was polite.
"Do you fly?" he asked to the other boy before taking a bite from his newly obtained cookie.
