On Thursday June 25th Michael Jackson Passed Away from sudden cardiac arrest, he was a great figure in the music world. He will be greatly missed and I am just so shocked about this news. I cannot believe it.

The moment I heard the news I new that you'd be saddened. (Although, I was expecting to see a tribute in your sig... )

I wasn't a big fan of his but I did like a few of his older songs. Its always discombobulating when icons that have been around almost as long as you can remember pass on.

i can't believe he died either. i was looking forward to hearing new music and i was hoping beyond hope that things would work out for him... i was so sad today. but they played his music all day on the radio so i was quite happy that they were paying tribute to him.

I was a fan of his, I loved his clothing style and music. I had every single one of his songs on my computer. I mean, I wasn't a hardcore fan of his or anything, but I was a fan and appreciator nonetheless and it was just such a shock when I heard it. I was at work and a coworker just says "Michael Jackson is dead" and I thought he was joking and I was really confused and thinking it was impossible. So on my break I went on my iPhone and googled it and sure enough there were news stories saying he had died of cardiac arrest. I keep thinking it's not true but I guess it is. I was hoping it was some sort of joke or ploy to get attention, but apparently it is not. I've felt pain in my heart for him since I heard the news and have been dwelling on it in my mind. He was not a cruel person, I don't think he ever did any of the things he was accused of. He lead a lonely life of pain and misery and I am just so upset that it is only now that he is gone that we are giving him the love and respect he deserved. He will never see how much we loved him. I just hope he is in heaven now and being peaceful.

I stood up until 4am on the day he died, watching news coverage stories, trying to learn more about it and the next day I stood up until 2:30 watching more and I will continue to avidly follow these news stories in hopes of learning all the details of this tragedy.

I'm a fan as well. I had no idea you all were talking about him here. Hope you don't mind if I shared my thoughts. =)

I too stayed up past 3:00 AM on the day he died watching the news for coverage. And I kept watching multiple news channels non-stop.
I totally agree with you, that he lead a lonely life full of pain and depression. The media never letting him get any peace. Not to mention those horrible child sex abuse accusations against him. There was no real proof and no valid evidence to support that. The only thing that drove these accusations is a bunch of money hungry parents who targeted Michael. I for one never believed he did such things. He was a kindhearted man, who only wanted to spread love and peace around the world. I mean, he has donated to more charities than any other celebrity. I just hate how some people are making fun of his death. It's deplorable. This man gave so much to the world and what he got in return was what? Thrown in court for things he did not do, hated because his skin color changed without knowing the reason why it changed in the first place. That poor man was lonely and heartbroken of how people looked at and treated him. But still he never gave up, he kept fighting and loved the fans who stayed loyal to him. It's so sad and shocking that he had to die now. He was on the verge of a comeback. I would have liked to see him regain everything he had lost over the years.
I am also upset that only in his death we are giving him the love and respect he always deserved. Stations giving him tributes and playing his music. I believe if this had been done while he was still living, he would feel so loved and happy. And maybe he would still be with us.

I think he was too kindhearted and fragile for the cruelty of this world. This world is a cruel world we live in, and he tried to heal it with his music. He broke down racial boundaries with his song "Black or White" and with his album "Thriller", he raised funds for Africa with the song " We are the World", even though many other artists sang the song, M.J was the one that wrote it. He founded the 'Heal the World' organization. So many great things he did for the world, yet he was ridiculed by so many. He did not deserve such treatment. For him to go through so much crap is terrible.

The fact of the matter is there is no real proof that makes Michael a terrible person that the media made him out to be. However, there is real proof, and a lot of it, that he was a good person and an inspiration.
And I hope that he finds the peace that he was denied while he was living.
I feel sorry for his kids. All they are now are dollar signs to people..

To be honest I have been walking around in a daze since he died. I was online when the news broke that he was being rushed to the hospital, and I said "No, please no." Then the news confirmed his death and it was just an awful feeling. I've spent too many hours online, reading articles, watching videos, listening to his music. I simply cannot believe he is gone. I've admired his music since I was a toddler, rocking out to Thriller. To have him gone feels so weird. To know that he won't be around anymore...just so, so sad. crying

The media craziness over it all and the people attacking him still make me sick. In Gaia's Site Feedback there were so many posts about "Oh Gaia eff you for making an item after a child molester, where's our Farrah Fawcett item huh?" The rudeness and inconsiderate-ness of it just made my blood pulse and I had to step away from the computer.

Personally I will miss him and his music very much and I hope in the end his legacy will be more positive than negative.

I am completely on the same page as you, every exact detail.
I too am in a sort of daze about it.... constantly thinking about it all day and night, watching as many news stories as I can, reading articles, watching videos, etc...

And I too have been horrified by the disgusting people out there who are badmouthing him. I have to close the page every time I see a spoiled brat ranting about the item, or saying he molested children, or that he inferior to the others that died... the never of some people. I feel sick to my stomach by these things.
