 The green and silver Ichsa stood looking out at the vast ocean. What lands lay beyond the sea? Was there more to life than just this? Than being alone and lonely? What sort of life was that? She'd never really had much of one. Her parents had always schooled her in being polite and honest. Especially on being honest. Unfortunately the honest part was stuck. It was part of her nature. She didn't lie, couldn't lie. And now she was friendless and alone. What good is telling the truth if no one ever likes you?
Fiona lifted her head and allowed the wing to breeze through her mane. The air felt cool and crisp, refreshing really. The salt from the ocean was rather relaxing and soothing. The birds in the background talking and calling out to one another weren't really much of a bother to her. She knew some found them annoying but in all honesty they were the only company she had and she liked hearing them. She was alone enough in the world. It didn't need to be quiet too.

 Mrs. Lovett sighed. It had been too long since she had seen Mr. Todd. She wondered where he had gone. She hadn't even been able to enter her dream world last night. What was wrong? Was it something she had done? Was she loosing the link? Whatever it was she hoped she could figure it out soon. What if Sweeney forgot about her? It was pathetic, she knew, to be so lovestruck over someone who has no feelings for you. Especially since she had lied to him. But oh no, she wouldn't dare tell him that. There was no way she would ever tell him that. It was a secret that only she would keep.
Honestly there was no use dwelling over things that she couldn't control. She spent entirely too much time doing that. Maybe she should get out there and meet some friends? Goodness knows she could use some friends. Not that she might be able to keep any but she could definitely try right? Maybe she could find someone on the beach. It did seem that a lot of other creatures liked to gather here. She didn't blame them either. It was peaceful here. Quite serene and relaxing.

Maybe it was time to leave? Go somewhere else. Then where would she go? She could always go visit her tree but there would be a lot of others there. The fruitlands seemed to be rather crowded whenever she went and she wasn't fond of crowds. It seems like where ever she went everyone just sort of avoided her. It never seems to be intentional, more like an invisible force really. What was it? Did she have a big stamp on her rump saying "HONEST LOSER! STAY AWAY!" Maybe that was it. Quickly she turned to look, but, of course, there was nothing there. There was, however, an unfamiliar Bae standing a few yards from her.
I wonder if she'll run screaming in terror, or how long it'll take her. She thought. If this Bae was friendly maybe she could have a short chat. It wouldn't hurt really or be too long. It would also do her a lot better good than those damn birds. Wasn't that pathetic? Her only friends were birds. Not to mention she did talk to them. Congratulations for the psychotic Ichsa mare.
Slowly she turned around and made her way over to the new mare. She was rather plain looking, but really quite pretty at the same time. Her wings looked a little tattered but like lace too. She seemed quite lonely and an interesting gold locket around her neck. I wonder what sort of problems she has. She looks just as lonely as me. Well it couldn't really hurt to say hi could it?

Nellie looked up as she heard the sound of hooves squishing in the watery sand. Before her stood a green and silver Ichsa mare. She was really quite pretty and yet plain looking. Really she wondered how she had managed to miss her before. There were others on the beach but not as close as this mare must have been. It was possible that the Ichsa had flown over her but Mrs. Lovett doubted that. She would have heard the wings beating in the wind.
"I'm sorry. Is there something I can help you with?" She didn't want to be rude but at the same time she hadn't ever met the mare and with her dreams gone she had been on edge lately. She didn't know what it was about those dreams but she felt rather nervous now that she didn't have them. It wasn't even that she wasn't sleeping, no she was doing plenty of that, it was more just that she didn't dream anymore. When she slept it was all just rather dark and unconscious. No thinking, no dreaming, no nothing. Certainly no Sweeney. Oh how she missed him and longed to see him. Perhaps this Ichsa had seem him? She knew he existed in both worlds.

Fiona stood for a moment and carefully chose her reply. This was a Bae she had never met before and she wasn't sure how friendly she would be. There were some interesting personalities out there and she should be careful what she said and who she said it to. "I just noticed you were all alone out here. Perhaps you might like some company?"
Her interactions with others had been a little limited but it seemed a decent enough reply. Hopefully the mare was just as lonely as she was and would want a little bit of company. That or she would simply turn her away and Fiona would go about her own business. Whatever that was. She didn't really have much of a purpose at the moment. It seemed that these days all she did was wander and travel. Eventually she would want to start a family. To settle down and raise a few fruit of her own.

Just for company? Nellie wasn't sure how honest that was. No one ever wanted to just talk to her. Usually someone needed something in return. There wasn't much to do about it though so she might as well make nice. "I'm Nellie Lovett, and I'm sorry but I don't think I caught your name?"
Honestly! What kind of Nequus doesn't introduce themselves properly? This time she'd give the poor girl a break. She seemed so nervous, like she was about to jump away the moment she moved toward her. Now that was an interesting thought. Carefully, and slowly, Mrs. Lovett moved her hoof slightly out of the sand and positioned herself a little closer to the Ichsa.

Without thinking Fiona quickly took a step back without looking. Her hoof hit wet stone and she stumbled. Quickly she regained her composure. Damn it. Now she really looked like a fool. What on earth must this Nellie think of he? Perhaps if she just passed it off as nothing the Bae wouldn't say anything either.
"I'm sorry, it's just been so long since I've been around anyone else that I just kind of forget myself. I'm Fiona."
At least Nellie seemed nice enough. Not a psychotic Killer anyway. That was always a bit of a plus. She shook her neck and mane a little trying to clear her head. The salty breeze was definitely relaxing. Did she even know how to do that anymore? To be able to relax? She just wasn't so sure.
"So, what brings you to Quirne?" If she was going to have a conversation she might as well start it.
