Ouran High School Host Club

Those with the wherewithal- First, in social standing, and second, in money- spend their time here, at the private Ouran Academy. As such, Ouran Host Club is where handsome boys with too much time on their hands entertain and charm girls, who also have to much time on their hands. It is the school's own personal, elegant playground for the super rich.



For those of you that have never seen or read "Ouran High School Host Club", it is about an honor student, Haruhi, that is given a scholarship to this elegant school, though this student is just a "commoner". After this honor student stumbles upon the third music room, the student discovers the Host Club. When this student accidently breaks a vase, valued at 8 million yen, the student is in debt to the club: Tamaki (the president of the club), Kyoya (the vice-president), and the other members (Hikaru, Kaoru, Mitsukuni, and Takashi). The club decides to bring this student into the club to help repay the debt. When the club deiscovers this new student is a girl, one by one the members fall for their new "secret princess" since no one else in the whole school knows that this honor student is a girl. Let the drama, romance and comedy unfold. See Episode 1 if you'd like.

This Roleplay: This roleplay takes place one year later, after Haruhi fell into the grasps of the Host Club. She hasn't repayed the debt yet, but is close, but who knows, she might stay anyways. The host club has taken in three new hosts to the club, to help satisfy the clubs growing popularity, and Takashi and Mitsukuni have graduated, so replacements are needed.
(Note: In the Japanese School System, Elementary school is grades 1-6, Jr. High is 7-9, and High School is 10-12. )

Rules
We all hate them, but we have to have them.

This Roleplay is rated PG-13, for violence and romance. Though there shouldn't be a lot of violence since Hosts don't partake in violent acts.
No cybering, godmodding, flamming, spamming, or advertising here.
Literate RP: meaning at least a paragraph when going through writer's block (8-10) sentences, and 2 paragraphs otherewise. Use quotations for quotes of your character, no * * for actions, though you all should know this.
OOC talk: (( )), [[ ]], or {{ }}. Still, I'd prefer that there not be too much OOC chat here. PM each other if you're asking about something or planning a plot twist. OOC should just say if you're leaving, or just telling somone something, but no extended discussions thorugh OOC, sorry.
I'd prefer you keep to your characters personality (If you're playing a premade), but feel free to change their love interests if you'd like. Even if they're straing in the manga/anime, a little twist is always interesting. ;D
PM your profiles to me with the title "I'm here to serve" if you're a host, or "Entertain me" if you're a customer.
Do not totally trail this RP way off of Ouran (the manga/anime). Meaning no: "Tamaki was bitten by a vampire and is now a vampire," "Hikaru then spread his wings and took flight, soaring above the clouds (Unless he's high, but that shouldn't happen either)," or "Haruhi stood saying 'Haha! Just kidding guys, I'm really a dude." You get it?
Host club members do not curse, customers...and Haruhi, curse, but lightly, and rarely.
Put a heart in your profile if you've read the rules, if you haven't, then don't put it in the profile.
Respect other roleplayers, no exceptions, or god (me) will strike you down.
You may play two characters, three if I think you can handle it. If you play two it has to be a host and a customer. If three, I may let you play another host, but probably another customer.
The three new hosts MUST be of the male gender. I don't care if you want another Haruhi, you can't have one.
Customers can be either male or female, it doesn't matter.

Haruhi is an intelligent (but poor) second-year student attending the exclusive private school Ouran Academy on a special scholarship that requires her rank first in her class. She actually enjoys acting as a host to other girls, which she takes to naturally, though she does not like taking time away from studying and finds the antics of the other hosts extremely irritating.Although habitually quiet and unflappable, she has a deep fear of thunderstorms. Haruhi lives with her eccentric father and has become skilled in household chores due to her mother's death when she was 5. Although her independent, straight-forward personality clashes with those of the other, more outgoing hosts, Haruhi becomes friends with them, especially the Hitachiin twins, who are in her class.

Type: The Prince
Third-year student at Ouran High School and the founder and president of the Host Club. While flamboyant and narcissistic (Suō means "rightfully becoming king" or "to become a king"), he is dedicated to his duties as a host. He is partial to classic piano music and plays exceedingly well, one of his favorites being Mozart's Sonata for Two Pianos in D major. He, like Honey, also has a stuffed animal: a teddy called Kuma-chan.Tamaki can be viewed as outspoken and naive for his age, especially since he only views himself as an obsessive father figure to Haruhi (Calling himself "daddy" and Kyoya "Mommy"), when in reality he's in love with her. He often gets jealous of other boys who get close to her and admires her when she shows her natural abilities. Tamaki is half-Japanese and half-French, and lives with his father, the wealthy superintendent of Ouran Academy. They both live separately from his French mother because of a deal between his mother and his bitterly cold paternal grandmother. Despite his grandmother being the reason he can't see his mother, he is very gentle to her, and is constantly trying to get her to accept him as a part of the Suoh family.

Type: Cool
Third-year student at Ouran High School and the cunning and sly vice-president of the Host Club. Kyoya is best friends with Tamaki, despite their completely different demeanors. Tamaki tends to call him "Mommy", or "Mother", in reference to Tamaki calling himself "Daddy". Kyoya is secretive and intelligent, being able to calculate any benefits that would come out of the Host Club's misadventures. Despite having quite antagonistic traits, the Host Club wouldn't be as half as successful without Kyoya's uptight resourcefulness. Although he doesn't put an act for the women, he is considered the "cool type." He lives with his father, an affluent zaibatsu owner specializing in hospital management, two brothers that he has to surpass to become his father's successor, and an older sister who deeply cares about him. Although he comes off as cold and uncaring, there have been instances where he shows concern for others.

Type: Little Devil
Second-year students at Ouran High School. They are depicted as mischievous, devious, and otherwise childish young men who often toy with fellow classmate and Host Club member, Haruhi. However, they care for her deeply, especially since they discovered that Haruhi can tell them apart even when they mess up their hair (the easiest way to tell them apart is the way they part their hair), something that no one has ever done before. When they were very young, a maid they were very fond of betrayed their family by trying to rob them. The twins made her play the "which one is Hikaru" game and promise that she wouldn't rob them. But, she broke her promise and told them that no one would ever be able to tell them apart. Tamaki Suoh, however, in their last year of middle school, repeatedly followed them, tossing out random guesses as to who was Hikaru and who was Kaoru to get them to join the Host Club, citing his intuition each time. Finally they crumbled, and decided to just try out the Host Club, and thus took a step towards a wider world, also developing a deep bond with Tamaki. For this reason, they were originally cynical to the world before joining the Host Club, believing that anyone who is not the other twin cannot possibly compare to their bond. Additionally, because their parents were often away, they developed a deep dependence on each other through loneliness, but seem to open up to others recently, thus their relationship with Haruhi is a large part of their life.
The Hitachiin twins show many instances of "brotherly love" (or twincest) which gets girls to fall for them left and right. It is difficult to say whether or not this is genuine although unlikely since they, along with the rest of the Host Club, are adept at adapting their personalities to suit the tastes of the clients, and their "forbidden brotherly love" act is their main draw. As well as this, both twins are shown to have a romantic interest in Haruhi.
The twins are both considered the mischievous, tricksy, "little devil" types to attract customers. However, they do have their differences. Kaoru is nicer, more mature, and considerate to the thoughts of others, while Hikaru is more childish and immature, although Hikaru is the older. Kaoru also chooses not to pursue his feelings for Haruhi, so that Hikaru can realize his own feelings first. The personality differences are only shown when they are separated, and there is a slight difference in the way they speak. They live with their mother, Yuzuha, a fashion designer, and their considerably meeker father, a computer software designer.
Note: Kaoru parts his hair to the left (it swishes to the left), and Hikaru parts his to the right (it swishes to the right). In case you didn't know.

This is my 1st year
If your looking for the 'Bad Boy' type, here I am.
We can't all be perfect... I grew up with a love for music, and quite a bit of talent(if i do say so myself). Despite us not being as enormously wealthy as most of the Ouran students, I have a royal bearing that adds to my bad boy charms. I'm a bit roudy and childish, and just a little hot-headed. Buchou's flamboyant atitude annoy me as well. I can be arrogant, but am a good host.
Wouldn't you like to know. I'm the son of a Japanese/East-Indian music company, which is a joining of my fathers Japanese recording company, and my mothers East-Indian company. I have a twin sister, and grew up a little on the spoiled side(with her being the princess, she was always well-mannered), which is why I'm a trouble-maker. I have trained my voice my whole life, and am a rising punk-rock idol. With my own group and label, the 'Shiroi Akuma'.

This is who I am, on the inside.
Renge; only one name that causes such great catastrophes. Uki Doki Memorial, various shojo animes, and above all, managing the Ouran High Host Club are some of her favorite things to do. Creating doujinshi for them, making movies, and advertising their public events is so much fun!
Fakers; something to be hated. Like Tamaki, the stupid faker who should not "spread his love like cheep butter". Other that said fakers, also disliked are people who don't do what she says, being corrected, and rare steak.
Though she is rather obsessive, blunt, totally out-of-this-world, and rather annoying, she's not all that bad a person. One just must bear with it, and hope she doesn't get too carried away.

The wonderful me, has lived in many different countries but I have mainly lived in France and Japan. I speak both Japanese and French but I keep no accent - accents are for less intelligent people in my view.
My fated person, my one true love in this world, MY DESTINY; Haruhi Fujioka. I knew it was meant to be! Kyoya was nice and all, but Haruhi is so down-to-earth, cute, funny, and totally sweet!
One year ago, I was in France playing Uki-Doki Memorial, and then Father requested my presence! So i went to tea with him. He told me about an important business dinner he went to and showed me a picture of that time. Then I saw him, the person I THOUGHT I was to marry, Kyoya. He looked just like the main character in Uki-Doki!!!! I WAS SO EXCITED!!!
So I went to that school to meet him - but as it turned out, instead of Kyoya, Haruhi became my love! He SAVED me from some ugly brutes from class D.
Now I am here in Japan, winning(and don't you dare say otherwise!) Haruhi's heart a little more day by day!

This is who I am, on the inside. I'm regal and dignified, unlike Ryouma. I also love music, of the pop-rock nature, and have had my debut as a solo artist. I am a little arrogant, but in a more calm and mature way then my brother.
This is what made me the way I am. I'm the daughter of the Japanese/East-Indian music company known as 'Winter Solstice'. It is the product of a merge between fathers company, 'Touji' [Winter Soltice], and mothers company, 'Amandeep'[Light of Peace]. My twin brother and I grew up more than a little spoiled, him turning into a rowdy punk and rock artist. We are, however very close, and we learned to sing and play a few instruments together. We often performed a high-end talent shows and national contests in the children's section.

I've been at this school for 2 years.

This is who I am, on the inside. I am confident, generous, honest, and a little random at times. I wouldn't at all say I was organized, but, eitherway, I think I am a good person, overall.
This is what made me the way I am. I was brought up in a wealthy family, of course. My father owns two malls in this area of Japan alone. Overall, he owns around 15 diffent shopping malls. You can assume correctly that that means I get discounts and free items from all sorts of stores. Don't think I'm at all spoiled, because I assure you I am not. Half the time I give my free items away and help friends with my discounts. I mean, I can get a little bossy and rude at times, but that's only at ceratain times. I really do enjoy this Host Club as well, though Ryouma is my main host, that doesn't mean I don't find the other hosts attractive as well, they are all handsome men, though, since they're such gentlemen, and hosts, that means I can never have one of them to myself, unless they quit the host club.
