Well, according to the LA Times, Michael Jackson has died today at the age of 50...

His morals may be in question, but songs like Billie Jean, Beat it, and of course Thriller were plain kick a**.

And yeah, I'm watching Channel 13 news and just read on CNN.com that he died at UCLA Medical Center.

That's true...Thriller was a pretty cool song.....
But does this mean that Micheal Jackson jokes are inappropriate? D=

... They'll be fine come July, I think. Someone, consult the Comedic Timing Handbook, Chapter 6: Reference a Deceased Celebrity in a Joke.

Hammi, yes it is a bad thing, and those jokes were always in appropriate.

Just tune into FOX Sunday night. I'm sure Family Guy'll be all over it. SNL might be a bit later on it, though.

I know he has done a few bad things in his life and he was a weirdo....but he was extraordinarily talented. No one, and I mean NO ONE, will ever be able to sing like Michael, dance like Michael, no one will ever BE Michael. He was an amazing individual as far as I'm concerned, and I am very sad to see him go.

When I heard he was dead, I giggled. Seriously. redface Not that I think his death is funny - though it is, in an ironic sort of way - but the shock apparently bypassed my "correct way to express emotion" filter.

My response was more like "OH MY GOD! ARE YOU SERIOUS?!" I just couldn't believe it. It all happened so fast.

My response was: "s**t, first Ed McMahon, then Farah Faucet, and now MJ? Everyone's dyin' off this week."

Then again, if Armageddon happens, I'm expecting him to rise from the grave wearing his Thriller outfit and start dancing.

My response was pretty clear, since it was my first post in this thread. xD

And Ember, I think Brandon Flowers could easily top MJ in singing, but I'm not sure about the dancing part....
