we gathered in a stone cortyard as dream addressed me.
"this will be a test of your current abilitys, so dont expect any let up from me."
"who said i needed any let up?"
with that i charged twords her my sword giving off a ominous yellow glow.

I shook my head as Neviod charged towards me. Too forward and predictable. As he lunged for me, I grabbed his sword and flung him across the field.
He quickly got up and charged at me again, this time with more speed. He flash-stepped behind me and tried to stab me in the back.
I quickly twirled around and faced him without even drawing my sword. He flash-stepped to the other side of the field as I aimed a simple kick at him.
"So he's covered shunpo already. Good," I thought. "Neviod," I said. "Show me your shikai! You can't expect to defeat a captain without using it!" Neviod nodded and yelled, "Domar Kopu!"

my sword sent out a wave of stifeling heat as it transformed in to shiki.
the long black double egdged blade erupted with fire as i swung as dream sending a pillar of flame at her.
she doged but as i swung agian a stray spark hit her leg and her komino cought fire.
usine this slight distraciton i sent a barrage of flame in her direction.
there was a cloud of smoke that when it cleared showed dream trying to put out the fire covering her body. half her clothing was turned to ash by the time she was done, it had taken a while so i got a quick rest.
"that was entertaining," i teased as she regained stature.
she was obviously angry and i had proboly picked the wrong person to taunt, but i couldent help but appreciate her lithe, muscular body. i could see the musules moving under her light skin as she drew her sword.
as mutch i i would have liked to stay in that position, marveling at my captains body i had to fight because in my pause she had alredy slashed at my sholder and was about to attack agian.
i gaurded but her strength was staggering, she was going to break my defence if i dident do something.
i tryed to push back and send some embers but that only got me a slight hair cut above my right ear. i was out of ideas untill i had a plan that would immediately backfire but i had no chiose, so i spat smack in to dreams face, i was abel to repel her but boy was she angry.
"THATS IT!" she screamed as her spiritual pressure began to rise.

I tried to stay calm so that I could think about what was going on. Half my kimono was burned and Neviod had launched a series of surprise attacks.
I drew my sword. Now it was time to fight. I leaped into the air and swung my sword at Neviod in every direction. When I was done, I flash-stepped behind him and slashed his arm that was holding the sword.
I returned to my spot on the other side of the field to see that Neviod had blocked some of my attacks, but he was still bleeding all over his body. In a few minutes, he could lose enough blood to pass out.
Suddenly, he aimed three rows of fire directly at me and I whiffed them out with my sword by slashing them. I dodged them but one caught the whole field on fire. This was going to be difficult.
I decided that it was time to release my shikai. I screamed, "KURO HOSHI!!!" My blade turned into two daggers. Then, I attacked.

"not good" i said as dream called her shiki and charged, but i still had one more trick up my sleeve... acctually several tricks but ill save those for later
i unbuckeled a poket on my belt and pulled out three red balls about the size of a cherry and thew them at dream.
just as i suspected she sliced them in half which caused them to explode sending dream flying in to a wall, i too was knocked over but not very far.
i then thrust my sword in to the ground and turned it as if it where a giant key causing the whole room to go up in flames. i removed my sword from the ground and saw dream struggeling not to touch the inferno that coated the ground ( i of corse was immune ) useing this chance i lanched a gigantic fireball at dream.

The field was up in flames again, but I was going to whiff out the flame. I smiled. Did Neviod think that it would be that easy to defeat me?
I held up my daggers and screamed, "KURO HOSHI METEOR SHOWER!!!!" and the sky blackened. Dark, heavy meteors rained down from the sky and they quickly whiffed out the flames. They never hit me, of course.
While Neviod was busy dodging the meteors, I slashed the spots I'd missed earlier where there were no wounds. Except there was something different this time when I cut him. I smirked.
Neviod could feel the pulse in his body while he tried to avoid the meteors. He looked and saw his veins turning green beneath his skin and he gasped.
I laughed. "So you finally notice it?" I asked. Neviod had a questioned look on his face. "What is it?" he asked. "Oh, you'll find out," I replied. "Soon enough, soon enough."

dammit that stung, my skin was turning green and dream had the idea that this would stop me. the meteors where not surprising but i knew something that would be.
i collapsed to the ground dropping my sword my skin was almost compleatly green. this was bad i couldent even stand deam walked twords me with a distinct swagger.
she thinks shes beaten me? no not yet i wont allow it!
"you think im going down so easy?" i said holding my stomach.
"well yes," dream said calmy, "come on lets get you to the squad 4 barraks." she held out her hand kindy.
"hold on let me get my sword," i said useing dream as a support.
once i had my sword i said, "dream im sorry."
"sorry for what?" dream was mildly confused.
"this," just then my body became red like magma and a explotion of flame erupted from my body as i called, "banki DOMAR KOMIASIRU!"

CRAP!!! My kimono caught on fire again and I quickly tried to put it out without success. "Oh well," I said with a smirk. Underneath was my shunko uniform (the sleeveless thing as some of you may remember).
I put my coat at the edge of the field quickly and returned to battle. Neviod had just unleashed his bankai. Impressive. His bankai had just developed, that I could tell.
I grinned. He would make a great assistant captain. I knew he was capable of it, but I wanted to continue to fight. "Tsk, tsk," I said. "You can't fight me with a poisoned body."
"I know!" shouted Neviod. "And that's why I wish to become stronger! To fight in squad two!" I was shocked by his response. I hadn't expected it to be so serious.
Okay, fine, maybe I had, but still...>< Well at least I knew he was determined. Neviod released a thousand fireballs at me and I decided that it was time to use my shunko. "SHUNKO!!!" I yelled.
A circle formed around me and my spiritual swirled around me. Then, I controlled the blue strems of spiritual energy and ir attacked Neviod. He was blown back and his fire was whiffed out again.
Neviod's skin glowed green and he was exhausted from releasing his bankai. "Neviod, go to the squad 4 barracks. You need healing," I instructed him. Now it was his decision.

dream thought it was over but she was dead wrong. she extunguished my flame but fire is not what my banki is. my banki is heat its self. i raised my spiritual pressure and the heat in the room began to rise, untill the very wall around us began to bend and melt, dream was smart and blasted a hole in the weakened wall and retreated. she was burned and her skin was red. i approched slowly because i was weakend and as i walked the grass around me combusted, my clothes had burnt away but my banki provided me with a robe immune to the heat. dream was stifed by the extream heat and dared not to come closer for the teprature around me could cause her skin to ignight in flame. i kew there was a way to call domars banki release form but the last time i did he tured on me and gave me a nasty scar on my left arm. dream called more meteors but they turned to ash as they neared me. i began to approch dream untill she was cornered. i then focused my energy and luanched a stream of white flame at dream.

I smirked. Did Neviod think that he could really corner his captain like that without his captain having a defense? I stuck out my index finger and held it between his eyes.
He seemed shocked because he couldn't move and I smiled. I used my free hand to stab Neviod in the stomach with my dagger, its tip covered in poison.
He let a stream of blood out of his mouth, but that was all he could do while he was in my grasp. I then kicked him in the stomach and sent him flying to the other side of the field.
He looked surprised by such an attack, but I could tell that he was still going to fight. I glanced at his arm and noticed that it was turning purple.
I didn't worry, though. I knew how to control the poison. I stopped it for a brief second to give Neviod some relief. Then, Neviod charged at me again.

HOW THE HELL COULD SHE HAVE GOTTEN SO CLOSE!?!?!
it was the only thing i could think of as i charged raising my temperature even more. that heat sould have incinerated her its just not possibul! i slammed my sword in to the ground causing magma to erupt from fissures in the earth. i coated my entire body with flame as i attacked. dream doged my attacks but i could see her skin start to char and flake away. she tryed to distance herself but i stayed right on her tail making shure that this time she wouldent excape the heat. the air became hot and dense after about an hour of running,i was exausted and dream was trying to heal her intence burns. the poison was taking effect but i couldent let that stop me.
i staggered to my feet limping twords dream weakly swinging my sword with one hand. i had to let up on the heat but if i did she would attack me head on so dispite my fituge i kept up the heat and stubeled twords dream. finally i collapesed unabel to move gasping for breath. them every thing turned dim as if the sun had backed up away from earth. then everything went black.

suddenly the world became empty and i could only bee black in evry direction. then a glimmer of light appered, it was domar komiasiru.
"whats wrong? crawl to your feet!" domar bellowed.
"but i cant! i cant even move!"
"you can move, hell you could jump a mountain at your state! so get up before i pull your sorry carcass of the ground for you!"
"my power has reached its limit i cant go on."
"so your giving up? because you cant muster up enough rage to fule your attacks? you have more drive than rage or hate call upon the strength that you know you have or you will seace to exist and history will blip you out so easaly you own mother wont remember you!"
"...... i will."
"good now rise."
then the world faded back to existance.

"uhg where am i?"
"your in the squad 4 barraks but you need to rest now got it?"
i was still a bit dazed there was a blue glowing fox at the end of my bed and a girl with blueish skin and poiunted ears treating my wounds... i must be hallucinating.
"wheres dream? wheres the captain??" i boted upright but was pinned by the fox who was surprisingly hevy.
"dream is fine she just has some rally bad burns is all. what the hell happened out there?" the girl asked.
"I-I cant remember. everything is just a huge blank." it was true i couldent remember a thing.
"well whoever you are you nearly burnt down the whole building on your way in, which puts you up to your eyeballs in debt to squad 4 here. well guess what corrot top? its payback time!"
i had a bad felling about this.

I stepped in through the squad 4 barracks door. "Well, hello, Neviod! How are you feeling?" I asked. Neviod had a worried expression on his face.
"Wow!" I said, looking around. "Did Neviod try to burn the whole place up or what?" Trovid smiled. "No, but he is a good fighter! Were you training?"
"Ehh...Sort of," I replied. "Neviod wanted to be my lieutenant, so he showed me his skills through fighting. He's already developed his bankai!"
Trovid turned towards Neviod. "Unfortunately, being a good fighter won't help you out of your mess," he said. "Uh-oh," said Neviod. I smiled. "Trovid, how long to you plan to keep him?" I asked.
"Oh, like...A month or two," replied Trovid. I nodded. Trovid turned towards Neviod again. "Yeah...Nearly destroying the squad 4 barracks isn't exactly acceptable, so you have to work here for a month or so," said Trovid.
"You should probably fix the barracks, too," I added. "Hey! Whose side are you on?" asked Neviod. We all smiled. "Well, I have to go back to my own squad headquarters. See ya!" I said.
"Wait!" cried Neviod. "Aren't you going to tell me if I--" Just then, Neviod plopped down, fast asleep. I shrugged. "Oh well, he needs the sleep."
As I walked out of the half-burned barracks, I told Trovid, "When he wakes up, can you tell him...that he's a lieutenant now?"
Trovid nodded and I walked out of the squad 4 barracks with a feeling of satisfaction. I now had a lieutenant!
