So I was playing on my custom hunter class Bosmer that I'd just made, he was only a lvl 1, and I was exploring in Valus Mountains. What do I see while I'm there a troll so I think "Oh great" and he charges at me so I jump up on a big rock, and I've got about 90 arrows on me so I continuously lob them at him, and they have little effect, eventually I run out of arrows. Now I'm forced to use the flare starter spell, and finally I find sucess after about twenty minutes of attacking him. He almost killed me a few times when he'd get a lucky hit in, so I'd have to step back and restore my health. I did get some good, and odd loot though, some kick@ss frost bow, and a decaying ripped apart body of some dunmer character wearing ebony armor, I forgot his name something that started with an S, no idea what that was all about.
Do you guys have stories of long difficult battles with enemies that just wouldn't die?
Edit:The troll I fought was Uderfrykte Matron, and the dunmer was named svenja, it's related to a quest at dive rock, just looked it up on UESP

thats more of a mini quest than an actual quest. Its fun though.

I remember fighting that things. I needed to cast a Detect Life spell just to beat it. >_>

I've never heard of this quest. Where do I get it? I don't think I know where Dive Rock is.

Its not an actual quest. Its just one of those things Bethesda threw into the game to show your not the only adverturer out there. To find it you just have to explore the northern regions(Aka the north mountains) No quest indicators come up, you just have to ay attention to notice it.
BTW Dive rock is the highest point in the game and going there unlocks several locations

Well mine has nothing to do with that quest. I was playing knights of the nine (I'm a level 38 btw) I hit one of Umaril's bitches or whatever they're called, and every time I killed them they got back up and I was like WTF. Happened to any of you?

that rat in that assholes basement i forgot his name but he sead he was more noble than you so i killed him and robed him found the rat it had a massive emount of health but i was a high lvl so i beat it he lives in skingradaround your house i think

The highest level of melee Grummites in the shivering isles those things are soooo annoying its not that I cant kill them it just takes forever its more of a nuisance than anything takes like 3 minutes to fight 2.

Yeah the matron mini quest was so much fun. It sucks though, because some people's games don't start the script to have her glow.. so you have to detect live just to see her lol ...And may Sithis have mercy on your soul.

One time I came across a cave filled with Goblin Warlords. I was at level 29 at the time but it was still very difficult for me to kill them, since ther were so many!

STUPID BROWN BEARS.... I'd run around slaughtering all in my path, and then wind up running for my life when ever a bear came after me. For whatever reason they hit way too hard to go toe-to-toe with so all I could do was run backwards shooting it for twenty minutes.... They're the only enemies I have problems with. Daedra, scamps, trolls, all the rest are easy to kill, just not the stupid brown bears...
