Okay. So I've been looking at the reasons for nto eating meat and I've been wondering about something. I've always had a very bad habit of tiredness for years but recently it's gotten worse. I've also had to deal with a fixed rotor of evening meals in our family which includes some sort of meat EVERY night. I was wondering: Does meat cause tiredness at all?

I've also noticed that since I ate a veggie burger for tea tonight, I feel a bit more energetic. Does that make sense?

not totally sure about this but it makes sense biggrin plants absorb sun energy directly, we get energy from them biggrin straight relationship. Animals eat plants, our left over and some even industrial wastes, by the time their meat end up in our intestines, not much good things left really.

and in meat and milk. we have to deal with all the injected toxins and our body not needed extra hormones. They are harmful to us our body has to fight against them if it goes inside our intestine blaugh

I think tiredness can be caused by too much salt intake. But also eat more nuts (peanuts, almond, walnut, pistachio, cashew nuts) in our daily diets help us to have more energy smile good for our brain and health too biggrin

Sounds like a very good answer to me. Thanks for taking the time to tell me about the salt intake especially. Maaaaaybe I should cut back on the crisps sweatdrop
But I do admit that I'm glad I joined this guild. At the moment the issue with my parent's disagreement is coming to the point where I wanna scream at them rather than be mature. I'd much rather stop eating meat and be healthy instead of eating meat nearly every night and feeling ill very often. Not to mention, as I said, the ridiculously bad 'energy defficiency'.

grrr...

I wouldn't count on just using meat as a reason for your lack of energy. Also make sure you're getting at least 7 hours of sleep a night (8 is ideal) and eating a balanced diet. Also try avoiding excessive amounts of caffeine and energy drinks. Exercising daily is a great way to increase your energy and especially your metabolism, which will keep you going. Snack through the day on healthy foods like carrots, sugar snap peas, toast with peanut butter, etc. Eating between meals is fine as long as you do it in moderation. Eating breakfast every morning is also especially important!

There are lots of other ways to boost your energy, and I don't think just cutting out meat will do it. You might be eating too much at dinner, which can make you feel full and lazy (God knows I do sometimes D: ).

Also, good luck on your transition; it's a little hard at first, but with support from us, you can do it and feel great about it!
