Today the wind mare felt like walking. After her near collision with another wind stallion a little while back, she figured perhaps a stroll would be slightly safer. That way if anyone was flying her way, they'd be likely to see her better. She was kind of lonely, so she was hoping someone would show up. Life in Oathkeeper's glen herd wasn't anywhere adventurous. She was told a story of her grandmother having become a skinwalker and that she'd attacked the herd before she was born. That sounded scary, but at the same time---at least it was an event.
Her silver hoove scuffed on through the drying summer grass at the edge of the foest to the meadow. Maybe going out into the bright open summer meadow would bring something eventful to her very dull day. At least, Ari hoped.

A wild grin was fixed on Fianna's face as her strong wings propelled her through the sunny skies. It was a beautiful day, and the green of the fields below her rivaled even the deep vert of the blanket over her rump. Not that she had the chance to get a great look at it - she was flying at a dizzying speed. Partially, because it was exhiliarting. But mostly, it was because she got a thrill out of the fluttercorn stallion that was struggling to keep pace with her.
She wasn't making it easy on him, but she was having a blast. It was a game, a challenge! And she was helping him come out of that adorable shy shell of his. It had only been a few days since they had met, but she was already growing fond of him.
She looked back over her shoulder, grinning at him. "How's the air back there, dragonfly?" she teased. Dae'Ruil smiled between panting breaths. "Fianna! My lady... your stamina is enviable!" His wings just simply weren't built like her massive pinions. She was a marvel - and while he envied her spirit and seeming boundless energy, it was also a wonderful inspiration. "Need a break, Mr. Knight?" She grinned, eying the ground below her.
She let out a melodramatic sigh, but then - there- a flash of color caught her eye. Blue and white... Another soquili! Curiousity and interest kindled in her breast and she began to spirial downwards.
"Very well then! We'll take a break - there are new people to meet!" Dae'ruil followed her line of sight, his eyes widening. Another soquili? His eyes made out what she saw as they began their descent - wings - more like Fianna's than his, and arcing horns over her head that nearly blended with her hair.
"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Dae'Ruil stuttered. "You don't know if she is friend or foe!" Fianna laughed as she didn't slow her landing. "What better way to find out, Dae!" She smiled to him. "After all, if I hadn't risked it with you - we'd have never met!" Dae'ruil hoped she was right. He held his breath as they touched down onto the velvety grass.

Ariadne would have been blind not to have witnessed the strange, yet magnificent looking pair swooping down near her. Both equally as unique yet diverse in such a brilliant way. It appeared the mare was the one with the curiousity to stop. She was at quite a loss for words and didn't realize that all she was doing was standing there, looking dumbfounded. At closer glance, the mare looked a little more on the 'wild' side than the fluttercorn stallion trailing her. She hoped that wasn't a bad thing.

"Hello there!" Fianna called out to the stranger fearlessly as she touched down and folded her wings to her back. Her ears canted foward with curiousity and interest as she took in the mare's appearence now that she could see her up close. Indeed - she had wings - not wholly unlike her own - and curving horns over her head that reminded her of her sisters! She had yet to see another soquili with paired horns outside of her family, and her heart fluttered quicker. Maybe she was on the right path! "I'm Fianna! And this is Dae." She beamed, not takin any formalities of permission to land.
Dae'Ruil kept a few paces behind Fianna, looking over the mare with a reserved hesitance, trying to judge her attitude. He glanced around as she boldly introduced them, making certain that there were no hostile soquili who may take offense to their sudden arrival. The mask was once more tucked into the folds of the elegant draperies, and he was wishing that he was wearing it. While it may no longer have contained any magic, something about it over his face lent him a memory of the confidence he had felt when he was under the enchantment that had robbed him of his memory.
He gave a shy bow at the mention of his name. HE should have been the bold one to strike out and make introductions, to introduce the lady. Instead, he just found himself with his voice caught somewhere in his throat and standing back in Fianna's shadow, hoping that the lady was not angered by their arrival.

Ariadne suddenly felt very strange. There was an odd trend of really stunning and glorious or beautiful coming across her path. Or else, she was coming across them. The secret insecurity of possibly being outter beauty obsessed like her father bubbled up inside her again. The two before her we're stunning, and she loved taking in their amazing looks. So much so that for a moment she didn't realized the mare had addressed her---and she wasn't saying anything back. "I oh yeah! Hello there! Nice day for a flight?" she questioned stupidly. "I suppose I better introduce myself" she thought outloud, "I'm Ariadne. I wander these parts commonly. Is there...something you need help with?" she asked, trying to sound as friendly and polite as she could. She couldn't think of anything particularly interesting about herself that would make the pair stop on spot other than something like directions. She was after all, a flyer like them, so maybe they assumed she knew the area from a bird's eye view like they'd likely require.

"Nice ta meet ya, Ariadne!" Fianna beamed, nudging Dae'Ruil pointedly with one of her wings, a nonverbal 'I told you so'.
Dae pouted momentarily before bowing again. So Fianna was right - and it was a good thing. Maybe soquili as a whole were friendly here far from his secluded kingdom - they certainly seemed more care free ... or maybe he was just being presumptuous.
"It is an honor to meet you, Lady Ariadne." He murmured politely.
Fianna perked her ears with a smile. "Well, I don't want to take too much of your time, but I actually am looking for someone - I haven't been here myself and don't know the region so I thought I'd see if maybe he'd been through. His name is Ethan. His coloration is kind of like mine, and he's got a long tail like mine, but I think he's got horns more like you!" She beamed, her tone obviously not meaning any offense by her observation. "Although mom says that he didn't have wings.

Ari glanced up at the top of her own head at the mention of her horns. She usually forgot they were there. Why she forgot, she didn't really know---but she figured it could have had something to do with her being raised more as a wind. No one in her adoptive half-family ever told her uses for her horns. It was self-explanatory now that they might be a good line of defence if ever she needed it---perhaps a lot better than the suggestion of flying away from danger.
But now was not the time to think about that, as these strangers 'Fianna' and 'Dae' didn't seem like they'd be trouble. "Hmm---horns like mine and colored like you?" Ariadne repeated, "I'm terribly sorry, but I don't think I've seen anyone quite like that in these parts." She looked back at the stunning pair and stifled a sigh. She wondered if that would be the end of the conversation and that they'd just move onward in their search cause she was of no help. Not like she really wanted that, but what more was she really good for? She felt like she was taking up their time.

Fianna nodded, not seeming to be bothered any more than Ariadne by the horns. She sighed, rustling her wings. "Ah well." It had not been the first negative response she had heard. But she wouldn't grow discouraged!
Fianna cast her eyes around the clearing, taking a deep breath and thinking to herself. The world certainly was a big place.
Dae'Ruil bowed to Ariadne formally. "Thank you, Lady Ariadne, for hearing us out. Is there any where in these parts or any one that you know that you would reccomend?"

Ari thought first of Oathkeeper, but wasn't all that sure she wanted to drag him away from guard duty at the herd's forest glen in the case he didn't actually know anything of (what she assumed) to be a relative of Fianna's. But she also didn't want to say nothing or that she couldn't offer anymore help. "Oathkeeper might know...but if you're not up for veering off track into the forests---where flying would be most difficult---then perhaps I can simply follow you aways in the sky in search? An extra pair of eyes might be useful?" she offered.

Dae'Ruil stepped forward with a humble smile. "My lady, I would not wish to trouble you to call you to go out of your way. This Oathkeeper - is he the king of this land?" He asked with a charming naivete."
Fianna couldn't help but smirk in amusement behind Dae'Ruil. "King?" She repeated with a melodious laugh. She looked to Ariadne, expecting her to possess similar amusement at the concept.
"But... maybe it isn't a bad idea if he's not busy. Just because I have wings doesn't mean I'm too frail to go through the woods!" She stood proudly. "Maybe he knows where Soquili with horns come from if he knew your dam or sire?"
EDIT Feb 22, 2010: Since it's been so long since there's been a response, I'm going to assume that this RP has been abandoned. No hard feelings if so. If I'm incorrect, and you have any desire to continue, just drop me a PM, also no hard feelings smile <3.
