My favorite way is the fruit trick. Get fruit from outside your village, which you can get by sending mail to animals your friendly with. Plant trees using the fruit and there, a tree that grows 1500 bells every three or so days. Sounds small right? Plant at least 75% of your town with the alien fruit for big money! I can get 100,000 bells in one day.
Still can't get the big stuff though.... (Stupid crown...)

Fruit is the most secure way to go, but you could also try your hand at the turnip market.

I sell everything under the sun.
Out of 15 fish, I got 30,000 bells.
Oh, and on summer nights I get all the bugs I can.
I then store them in my house till no more can fit. Then I sell all of the ones I don't need. I got over 1 million bells, just because of one night.
I also sell 500 bell fruit. I call them the sacred fruit.

Yea same here. I got the message this afternoon that they are in the process of building my fountain. Next the lighthouse.

I just realized that I haven't made any upgrades to my town yet... except 1 bridge... Oh well, my museum takes priority for now...

Well my musum and town is taking a priority I am done with upgrading my house so. The aquarium in my museum is getting a lot of fish in it now. Still working on the fossils, bugs, and paintings. I am planting flowers everyday and still the message has not changed.

I have all the upgrades, all my fossils collected and all the fish caught. Just need the bugs and paintings which seem to be the hard part. If anyone needs foreign fruit, my gates are always open. Send a request and Ill add you. I love visitors.
