~:Miyavi Kurizawa:~ Right, so... I, personally, look a bit crap in the browns and such colors that associate itself with steampunk...
So this is my theory:: (( And to be honest, I didn't know where to put this )) What about blue? I mean, I know steampunk is more than just clothes, but I'm having a problem trying to figure this bit out.
SO say, like.. the whole steampunk thing (minus the airships, cause that would be strage... make them.. submarines or something )) was.. underwater. In like.. some future underground civilazation that habitats the sea floors?
Does this make sense?

Atlantis = Steampunk Mind = Blown
Blue could work, but only in conjunction with white and black. No browns or grays.

nah, white would look really wrong.
also, it feels too utopian atm. if it was a dystopian underwater city made in the past, then fine. (however, thats just my opinion)
otherwise, bioshock is considered steampunky, and thats set in an underwater city.

yes it is. i said Steampunky, not steampunk. as in, it has Steampunk influences.
for the most part, it is a Dystopian Cyberpunk/biopunk game, but it does suit what your describing very well.

funnily enough, the captain was having a debate recently on what the guild should look like (on Guild Home Page art and such) and one of the most popular responses was an underwater city... so you would fit in well! haha.
also, the whole underwater thing gives us a good reason to use the diving gear item.

Well, I personally think it would seem more realistic. What with the "global warming" and such. One might as well prepare to live underwater.
But I dont like all that sci-fi future tech. So Imma mixing things up.
~~
I thought I was being clever when I thought of the question, cause I was ready to make a whole new steam-punk spinoff, dubbed "aqua punk" lol

Blues could work, especially if they look tarnished. It might also look neat with brass if you choose the right shades.
And blue and black would be an awesome combination if you could pull it off.

I think colors can work for steampunk... just make sure it's accessorized right. I disagree with using pure black and white. And would it be a problem to use some brown, or maybe beige or something, if you had mostly blue?

StarScreame3r You mean like Disneys Atlantis? Or how about 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea? You know, the book by Jules Verne that the Disney movie was based off of. D:
