It was early in the day and Mashaka had already managed to blow of his grandmother, father and his fathers "mate". He was still rather bitter that he and his whole family had to travel here.... to her. Why his father was so smitten with her, he wasn't sure all he knew was that he wished he could have stayed with his mother.
Mashaka thought that he had escaped his whole family, he was on his own he was going to cause havoc, it was going to be a brilliant day. He wondered how much trouble he could cause before one of the adults came to find him and forced him back home.
He headed towards a beached area, the water was where he got most of his ideas, it was also a great place to think. He made it to the waters edge and looked down at his reflection.

Tajenye found himself avoiding the tension in his family as some of his siblings fought against their introduction to a new "mother" figure. He found Sadiki to be a fitting mother, and an innocent and lovely match for his father. But, he did see the points some of his siblings brought up. In either case, he was here, he was happy, and he didn't really care what the others thought because they had something good right where they were.
So when everyone had split up this morning, Tajenye had chosen to take his own path and explore. Unfortunately and he trotted up to the water's edge, he came to find that he'd not been the only one of his family to run off on their own. Across the water he could see the purple fur of Mashaka and a deep scowl crossed his face. He was not fond of his brother's particular form of young angst and his yearning for a mother he wouldn't have for most of his cub life.
As he stared at his brother he sighed. He should just walk away. Find Miw-Sher and go cause some trouble, but as he looked at the concentrated face sitting in the sand he couldn't just leave. He wanted Mashaka to find some sort of happiness, no matter how annoying the cub was, so he slipped into the water and headed in his direction.
" 'Shaka!" grinned as he reached his brother and hopped out of the water. "Whatcha up to?"

Mashaka's head snapped up when he heard his name called out. He could have sworn that he was the only one that came in this direction. He spotted his brother over on the other side of the water, making a mental note to begin training his senses he made his way over to his brother.
"What am I up to?" he asked back at his brother, "Nothing yet I haven't thought of what I want to do." it was true Mashaka had been spending his time trying to decide how best to cause trouble today when his brother interrupted his thoughts. Since he was still angry with his family situation though he wasn't getting very fair with any of his plans.
A small smile crept onto Mashaka's face, Tajenye was almost as good as he was at causing trouble. Perhaps the two of them could come up with smething brilliant to do. Even though most of Mashaka's plans had something to do with tormenting his step mother, he knew Tajenye wouldn't go for that, so he began working on changing his frame of mind. "I wanted to go cause some trouble somewhere, but I can't come up with a solid plan. Any ideas?" he asked his brother.

Tajenye blinked. He was used to being with Miw-Sher, and Miw-Sher didn't ask for ideas. They usually just did what she wanted to do. He was a sidekick, a silent body, and secret, bodyguard.
"Uhm." He chuckled, a thought coming to mind. "Lets go scare some elephants or something. Cause a stampede." His brows furrowed in a proud, evil looking manner. It was classic, but so much fun! Elephants were dangerous. Danger was fun, it was a rush. Two things Tajenye enjoyed very much.
He trotted in a circle around Mashaka. "Unless you have any better ideas?"

"A stampede that sounds fun." Mashaka answered simply to his brother. In all honesty Mashaka didn't want to suggest another idea at the moment because if the boys were going to get in trouble than he wanted to be able to place all blame on his brothers, with the classic 'but it was all Tajenye's idea!"
Of course Mashaka decided not to take into account his father knew him quite well and wouldn't bye this excuse, none the less he kept it in mind. If Mashaka could he would cause problems without being caught. " I think we will be able to find Elephants this way." he said leading his brother towards the closest watering hole he knew of.

Tajenye fell in line at his brothers flank, anticipation gleaming in his eyes. He could almost feel the fearful rumble of giant feet hitting the earth. He couldn't wait for the ring of their terrified calls. Adrenaline started pumping, and they hadn't even seen a single elephant yet.
"Sister would love this." He mused aloud. His side felt empty and strange with another lion taking her place, even if it was his brother. But lonely trouble was still trouble all the same, and Tajenye was still excited about the coming action. He almost even looked forward to the false disappointed look his father would give; the gleam of mischief in his older eyes. Of course, mother would be much less pleased, and Tajenye could never look forward to one of Sadiki's upset speeches.

Mashaka led the way down a hill and over a stream, to where he knew he would be able to find some elephants, he was hoping to find a small heard of some baby elephants, Mashaka might love trouble, but he wasn't a fan of getting injured.
Unlike his brother Mashaka felt an excitement drive, excited to bother his step mother, he hated thinking of her as anything else. It was an unexplained hate, but a hate none the less. He smiled thinking of the disapproving look that would come across her face, maybe she wouldn't bother giving him a long speech about right and wrong. On the other hand he wasn't looking forward to the looks his father would have for him.
Mashaka stopped dead in his tracks, he saw them just ahead, "Do you see them Taj." he asked. It was a medium sized pack of elephants, they were all youngish, they would still create a great amount of noise when they started running, but the two cubs were less likely to get hurt.

Tajenye stopped right next to his brother, ears perked forward and alert. "Yeeeaaah!" He giggled. He saw them alright. He crouched down, looking at them with the calculation of a hunter. A hunter in a very small body, with very troublesome intentions.
"How are we gonna do it?" He whispered, still staring forward. He looked for good vantage points. Most seemed to be turned to the right, so it would probably be best to come from the left. "Big noise? Or should we pounce one?"

"I vote noise... while running." Mashaka liked to use the best of both worlds, "We will start running and if they don't hear our paws before we get to them we will both let out great roars." he grinned from ear to ear.
Mashaka got into a low position ready to run full speed, "Ready brother" he said, then without waiting for an answer the little cub ran as fast as his feet would take him to wards the small elephants.
