I seriously JUST read a very intresting article about BABIES, and THE FUTURE, although I'm not going to be happy with either.
Apparantly,
In the near future-
There will be no need for men. Any more, muhahaha.
Science,

Has provided us with the knowledge that we can now take the stem cells from the female, and create an actual baby.
Hooray!
Although, it would be a genetic "duplicate" of the mother, and there wouldn't be much diversity.
Thankfully, I would still appreciate men in the world.
And diversity, that's fun.

Yes, killing embryos and all such.
MORE INTERESTINGLY, with stem cell research (of which I am completely against), they say that regeneration of any body part will be possible. However, only developing embryos possess the 'good' stem cells. The 'bad' stem cells, which adults have, do not have an unlimited lifespan of reproduction. Whereas developing embryos have stem cells that never go bad, in order to produce different body parts for the first time, I would imagine. By taking these stem cells from the embryo, thus killing it, they can graft the cells onto your severed arm and cause it to regenerate.
Or this is what I assume, mixing fact and assumptions as I do.

So, you mean the world could be inhabited by only females, and yet the human race would still continue? Awesome. cool LOL
Also, Z, by no means at all am I trying to start a debate/argument by saying this, but: What about using the stem cells from aborted embryos to study? I mean, I'm all for stem-cell research personally. But since taking from embryos would presumably kill it, and since aborted embryos just go to waste anyway, why shouldn't they be able to use what would just be thrown away? " And there she remained. And Hiddo: I think using ones from aborted embryos is a load of... well, you know *is trying to control temper*, because I think abortion should be SO ILLEGAL.

I only see it as a matter of necessity for some people. Especially those times when going through with the pregnancy is life-threatening for both the mother AND the unborn child. Wouldn't it be better to save at least one life, and sacrifice one that might not even make it anyway?

I there is absolutely no other way, I think that would be... acceptable. But just having an abortion because you don't want to have a baby is wrong. It is murder in the highest degree.

Interestingly enough, I am very passionate on this topic. I agree with Miine... though, my reasonings differ with his... hers. Uh.. heh.
But Miinefield has already expressed... 'its' opinion. I also love debate, but this topic is so much rage and so little reasoning that maybe you guys should just cool down.

I hate to delve into religion for those of you who aren't Mormon, and I hope I don't bore or offend you with this statement, but...
Applying religion to this topic, getting an abortion is like denying one of God's angels his or her promised physical body. Just think about how much that would suck. sad

It seems as though most of my threads generate some sort of arguing.
Anywho- I am pro-choice and all of that new-age nonsense.
But I just thought it was intresting how males are no longer needed.
I wasn't here to press my views of the abortion debate onto anyone.
