Aidan was in a half daze, suddenly becoming the master of Kokitsu Plaza. Often he questioned if other cats were present, but never had laid eyes on one that seemed to belong here, all were merely here for fun or food... but he questioned if he would know one of his own by merely looking. The answer for poor Aidan was more then likely not. Mirelle was on guard duty, and it seemed preposterous that he had only one other cat in the territory. It was damn near time to find recruits, and he would start with the old.
So with ears flat upon his head he watched the crowd under him from his base, the old and now unused factory.

Oliver had never bothered to go around his territory finding other cats. His logic was basically that if they wanted him, they'd go find him. Cats never liked to find him anyways. He was a grandpa to some and a stranger to most. All he knew was that the plaza was a home to call his own, whether there were cats there or not. Today though, Oliver was out and about, not to feed his cat belly, but for some exercise. He had gotten fat since he had lived with his human and her other cat, a Turkish Angora. He headed through the Plaza with his curly furred kitty tail swishing behind him. He attracted little to no attention if he wasn't begging. Humans would mind their own business as strays seemed to be the norm. He didn't care. He just continued on his way through the plaza for a nice stroll.

It was when he was about to give up he saw the other male. He was wandering about, but seemed to know the land well. He looked more like he was training himself then anything. Aidan plays confused well, but he was not stupid. The other belonged here. Quickly as to not lose him from his sight Aidan followed silent in the others footsteps. From behind he found the others weapons as he walked, the blades in his sleeves barely glinting against his pale flesh. Only when they were near the fountain did Aidan decide to let his presence known. The larger male took a deep breath and let it out slowly and called out just loud enough to be heard by the other cat.
“You’re not just visiting are you?”

Oliver continued on his stroll, unknowingly followed by someone he had never met before. 'I am so going to tan after this...' he thought to himself to keep him company. He was nearly done his rounds. All he had to do was circle the fountain and head back the way he came. But something called out to him. He didn't know what it was, nor was he expecting it. The Selkirk Rex nearly jumped into the fountain when the unfamiliar voice spoke. It was that of a cat's, that was for sure. No human spoke like they did... none of them. "n-no... This is my home." He confusingly meowed back to the interrogating stranger. "I've lived here ever since I became a stray."

Aidan pondered this whilst tapping his fingers on his face. What if the other had a power base? Or perhaps he was a spy from another territory. But noting his nervous nature, he found it was in fact part of his nature.
“I wouldn’t suppose there are more of you?” He kept his eyes keen, walking over to the fountain; he sat watching the other with calm security. For him to get what he pleases, he wanted to cover all bases before he ‘spilled the beans’ if you will. He wanted to be able to trust the other before he allowed him to know exactly who he is. Suddenly he flashed the typical Aidan grin and patted the spot on the fountain next to him.
“Come have a seat, I hope you do not mind my random questions, you see I am curious about this particular territory. Do you have a leader perhaps?”

Oliver's ears perked as this cat began to talk to him. He just wanted to be on his way with his stroll to lose a pound or two. "okay..." He succumbed to this open shirted tom as he padded next to him and sat down with his tail curled up next to him. "I don't believe there are more of me." He was sort of confused at the wording of the sentence itself. There was only one Oliver in any territory. "And I don't think anyone had ever ran the plaza before I came here." He said. In actuality, he just never bothered to find out who was in charge and what would happen in case of an ambush from another territory.
"But if you don't mind me asking, who are you?"

Ah well, little did the other tom know, there had been a leader before Aidan, and now he was a very dead leader. He ran his large hand through his hair and smiled.
“I am Aidan, the new leader of this territory. I’ve been looking for recruits and figured I would start with the old, and as it seems you’re the only cat still around.” Lightly he dipped his paw into the water and swirled it around watching the ringlets expand and then break. He was lost in thoughts very much like the rings in the flowing water. Would the other not like him for what he had done to the previous master? What would Aidan do if he refused his offer? Thoughts such as these flickered and then faded in his ever changing mind.
“May I be permitted to ask your name?”
That one seemed to be the best question to voice.

His gray-blue eyes stared at the water rings as he replied to Aidan. He shuffled a bit further from it as he was always scared of drowning, even in a fountain that was only about a foot deep. "Nice to meet you Aidan." He said with a smile. This cat looked like he was telling the truth about being the leader of the territory. So Oliver accepted it with an open mind and didn't doubt it. He didn't want to know what happened to the old master of the territory. He was never shown to Oliver and what he didn't know, wouldn't hurt him. "My name is Oliver. Stray Selkirk Rex at your service." He said with a slight bow towards Aidan. "But I have not seen any other cats around here. It's pretty much been just me?" He said questionably. He knew almost no one that lived where he did. They all lived elsewhere in the whole Ikebukuro.

“Well as of late a girl has joined our ranks. Her name is Mirelle, and is always willing to lend a hand.” Aidan chuckled.
“Though I wish we had Valiant. Too bad that Raco scooped her up, she’s one of the best. I may have her come to help train some of the new recruits.” Watching the others distaste for water Aidan lifted his hand and dried it on his pants leg.
“Though I take it you don’t like water much…. You will definitely admire Mir then, the girl for a challenge dove into the university koi pond and pet a specific fish for me.” Why he was telling the other this he didn’t know, but it felt right and Aidan was always one to trust his feelings. He extended his hand to Oliver and smiled.
“care to join?”

"Ah. Valiant. I know her." A memory went off on the top of his head. "She is real cute, blond hair and tattoo on her arm, right?" Hopefully it was the same Valiant that he knew. He nodded with a swishing tail at Aidan's description of this girl named Mirelle. "She sounds like a very good cat to have around still." He said with a smile. "And any able cat is better than no cat in a time of emergency, right?" He suggested to the red-haired cat. He stared at his two hands and then over to the outstretched one that Aidan had offered. It wasn't as if he didn't want to join Aidan and this girl named Mir, but he didn't know if that he joined, he'll get bothered on a regular basis or have to move closer to the base or something.

"Sure." He managed to say as he moved a hand and took Aidan's in his.

“Yeah, that’s Val alright. Though I wouldn’t call her cute. At least not to her face.” Aidan chuckled to himself at what Val had done when he had first called her cute and tried to swat her, the girl had pulled a knife on him.
“But anyway… enough of her, The only thing joining us has to do with your everyday life is making sure no one is trying to attack him… guard duty sometimes, just like you were just now… Occasionally if something comes up we may have to defend the territory, but that’s about it.” Changing the topic quickly was something Aidan did well, considering how Val was now a touchy subject to him since Raco had stepped in. The girl was cutting everyone out of her old life, including Aidan and Kieran. Oh well… so he had one bad mark on his record, he had a whole territory of girls to woo.

Oliver chuckled at how Aidan had described Valiant. "I'll have to try that next time. Calling her cute, I mean." He said. He didn't understand why Aidan had said he wouldn't say it to her face. It wasn't as if being called cute was na insult. "Well. that doesn't sound too bad then. But would I have to move my house to elsewhere in the territory? Like closer to where you and Mir lived or something?" He asked curiously with a paw swishing in the water as well. He didn't understand how to be under a leader. He was always an individual cat and never really followed anyone in particular. "You'll have to guide me well." Oliver said almost inaudibly, that you'd think it was more to himself than to Aidan.

“It’s your head.” Aidan grunted and laughed, what the hell he was doing, all his thoughts were muddled with the sudden power he held over others. Aidan… would have to make decisions?
“That is up to you, all I have to know is where to find you and that kind of thing. The base is optional, after all not all cats like being outside most of the time. As for training and things, well it would involve a bit of tussling, and lucky for you we have a girl so far. Though one that can defend herself.” Aidan chuckled at the weapon Mir had chosen, that in its self had surprised him.
“And of course everything that is ours is yours as well. I will have to show you the base and all that jazz.”
PostPosted: Mon Jun 29, 2009 6:38 pm

Oliver shrugged. "I don't mind intensive training sessions." He said carefreely to Aidan. "I guess I would try to move closer. You could say that... I like the company. And I need the practice and training" He said with a grin to Aidan. Oliver looked at the water as he tried to wipe away the reflections on the surface. His ears perked up as the red-haired cat spoke of showing him the base. He had never been to any base before. Neither his own nor one of someone elses. "Do you mind if we went to see the base now?" Oliver asked nervously. "That is, if you don't have anything else that needs to be done first. If that's the case, I can totally wait." He added quickly. There was no rush with him seeing the base. It would give him another excuse to bother Aidan and this rumoured Mir that he keeps talking about.

Aidan saw his eagerness where most wouldn’t, with little interest he smiled.
“Sure someone as important as I have something to do, though because I wish to spend more time to get to know you, I will show you the base, though it is not much at the moment.”
He smiled to the other and did a bow from the waist while attempting to stand.
“Though you will have to keep up.”
And then Aidan stood and walked away.
