Atlantis was once one of the prosperous cities in the world, it was the epicenter of the water nations, and the guardian city of the cursed sword. For 500 years the sword was guarded by the island city of Atlantis with its richly decorated buildings and underground caverns. Then without a trace it was gone. For years water elementals searched the area, but found nothing, not even crumbled buildings.

A hole appeared in the ocean, and upon further inspection Atlantis has been found. The city is in the water, partially below and above, bringing with it plants that were somehow kept alive in the time it was missing. The city is frozen in time, none have entered it yet, and so far none have left it. No one knows why it disappeared, or why it came back...

"Colm, LOOK!" Shina cried as the mouth opened and let in sun light. She almost ran towards it when the mouth closed shut around a huge fish, one of it's side eyes stared at her. The creature they were in thrashed too and fro, all the while maintaining the hold on its prey. "This is our chance, let's get out of here!" And before waiting for a response she ran towards the teeth, towards and opening between the spot where it was holding it's prey, and the corner of its mouth. There was just enough room to squeeze through. She threw herself out of the mouth, immediately plummiting to the ocean below, but when she resurfaced, she did not see an unless water surface, but ruins of a city, with islands that she immediately headed for before the monster could swallow her back up.

((@Phae: I think we're going to skip some of the epic fights and the survivors or whatever's supposed to keep us from finding the sword. It's taken like all summer and then some to get here. And even though no one listens to Colm and Ashe, they really should get back to the Capital City. So you don't have to keep making NPCs for us if you don't want to ^^ wink )

Ashe looked back at Colm as she wrung out her hair. "We're finally here. Let's get the sword and get out of here. We've wasted enough time trying to get here." She began to make her way towards the largest island. Certainly such a powerful artifact would be in the largest place, the most guarded place when these people were alive. "Something just occured to me," she said as they climbed and walked. "You're a vampire and it's sunny out. How do you pull it off?"

"That's right." She said as she held on tightly. I had forgotten Colm's nature. Our child may be half vampire, half ancient vampyre, or not at all. The enterances came closer as Colm ran forward, but which one to take? The building was like a cone built into the island, perhaps all of the doors went into one center where the sword lay? "Pick a door, any door. Doesn't matter to me. If there are still people alive here, and you're running fast enough, we'll be able to get in and out faster than they'd be able to tell. They wouldn't even realize that the sword was missing until we're gone."

"In all honesty? Not very much. But that's a lot coming from me of all people. But in a dungeon? It's rediculous how many people put their importance stuff in the dungeon where all the criminals were kept. It's rather contradictive if you ask me. You try to steal the sword for example. You get thrown in the dungeon to rot. Not just that, but you get to be the closest you'll ever be to the sword at the same time." She looked at the dark enterance. "Lead the way. Let's grab it and go. Someone else can explore this place."

The dungeon walls were lined with century old filth and rat skeletons could be seen among the hordes of live rats. They traveled along the corridor, only the echo of their footsteps seemed out of place as they ran along in the dark. Ashe couldn't see a hardly a thing as they moved farther adn farther away from the entrance. Colm being a vampire, she could rely on his sight to get them towards their goal. Soon she could not even see the rats anymore, only hear the squeeking of their little voices in the dark.

She watched blindly, even when the walls collapsed she didn't see them, but she instinctively covered her eyes. "Lead the way." She said quietly as they continued to run. She was never sure what direction they were headed, she had lost track shortly after they had begun to run again. "If we're in a labrynth there could be minotaurs." She said thoughtfully, "But they're all probably long dead by now. Even they aren't immortal." She began to see a feint glow from up ahead. "Colm look!" Even though with his eyes he had probably seen it before her. "Either we went completely through and that's another entrance, or that's where we need to go."

Ashe felt her way to his back. "If we fail here, we fail everything we've worked for. We'll make it. Just run fast and don't close your eyes." Not that I'll be keeping mine open. I'm not the one who had to focus on the jump, I only have to rely on the outcome. "We need to get back to the Capital. I don't trust spending three months away from it!"
