What kind of 'manipulation' do you mean? Or just in general?

Quite a bit of my energy manipulation is used in minor healing. I know Scrat has quite a bit of experience in kinetics, much more than me. My boyfriend does some, as well, though it's been a while since I've seen him do anything with it besides amazing massages.

aimike3 there are two techniques I want to learn Healing Something amusing to do during class twisted the most amusing things i did during class was constant stealing and giving of energy to manipulate test grades from people by make all the smart kids really tired and stuff, its fun, especialy when you keep the energy and no one has a clue that your the only one in the class with energy

hehehe energy manipulation is one of the first things you should learn when going in to magic, as its the one thing that ALL magic needs. Start simple, taking pain out of wounds (if your not sure or are curious on a technique for this PM me ^^) after you get good at that, start making shapes with the energy, work your way up from spheres, cubes, to more complex things like little cats or dogs, maybe even a dragon or two X3 From there you can pretty much do anything. ^^ (this is the technique my mother used wiht me and and its turned out pretty good so far)

When I first started learning Reiki, our Master had us practice manipulating our own energy before we were attuned. She showed us how to build up a small ball of energy, and then practice changing it's size while maintaining it's shape. Since then, I've practiced a few more things, one of which being trying to expand my energy a bit in a darkened room, to try and get a sense of my surroundings.
One member of my family has gotten quite good at energy manipulation by teasings other (benignly) with it. He started by pushing his own energy, like little needles, towards someone elses, or pushing specifically on someone else's aura to illicit an itch or other reaction. Now, he's fond of trying to work little curliques and "knots" into my energy while I'm on the computer, which can be highly annoying in it's own right.
Really, the thing I think I need the most practice in is keeping my own energy seperated from that of large groups; I think their "interferance" is what contributes to my loathing of chaotic crowd settings.

Oh yes, sheilding. That is a major issue for me. I get headaches sometimes I know aren't chemical. I really need to work on keeping unwelcome energies OUT. I think it's kind of an invasion of privacy to mess with the energies of others unless given permission to do so (healing and such sorts of things). I wonder of someone isn't messing with me when I get the headaches (I always get them when I go to the shoppe in bham, so...).
The energy ball excercise is the first one we learned when I was taking a wicca class back home (never finished the class). Working on the balls, but also passing it between members of a groups, and visualizing their energy. Also using earth energy and star energy, not just personal energy (tree roots down down into the earth, limbs high high into the stars... anyone recongnize this meditation?).

Instead of exhausting one's own energy resources, you can use the energy of other beings to fuel your purposes. I dislike doing so without permission from the other being. So by mastering energy manipulation, you can find more efficient ways to reach your goals by various means....Of course you might be cosidered a psionic vampire then... sad So long as I don't so with without others permission, and I don't hurt others, I'm fine with doing it myself. (...Or were you aiming for a completely different topic here? )

I listen to my heartbeat, and then do square breathing and with every beat I force the energy through my bloodstream into my hands. I use energy for fighting, Tai chi helped me to master this, and now I use it to make my punches throw people back more.

and i tend to draw off the energy in the environment round me and i have drawn off others probably more then you would agree with.
