THE LOOKING GLASS

Once you said I didn't care
Afterwards this relationship I couldn't bare
So I wouldn't be so blunt
I felt I must put up a front
Infront of all those whose judgement I cannot pass
While they're viewing through the looking glass
That first time you said, "I love you"
I knew then something about us was askew
All those times you thought I was in wallow
I was torn on the inside, feeling so hallow
I hope they cannot see how hallow I feel
Because through the looking glass, my pain is quite real
I try to find ways to cope
While stuck here under this microscope
This microscope I call the looking glass
Examined constantly in here I wish to surpass
I want to be free from you, them, everyone
I'm dying to know when you will be done
Background info~this poems about a current relationshihp I'm in. I feel so trapped in it and writing this poem makes me feel a lot better.

Wow, this poem is really good, I love how this can sound like a rap song (a good one). I know it's been like...about three years-ish but I hope you aren't in that sort of relationship anymore. heart
