So... yea. I've been freewriting off leftover inspiration after finishing Days, and I need somehwere shiny to post all of it. So, here you go. Unless otherwise noted, each post is a new scene; but by all means, leave me happy-making reviewy things and I'll reply to them <3

As noted in the title, THIS THREAD CONTAINS HEAVY SPOILERS, AND ALSO HEAVY SAD. It also contains abnormal amounts of Xion and people forgetting things.

Oh, and Worslei, for some reason, lol.

Sora was dreaming. But, it wasn't only his dream.

Ever since he'd returned from his last adventure, Roxas had been there, always standing behind him. His hood was down, but Sora could never see his face; the Nobody always stood behind him, back to back.

The two of them had talked a little, but as often as not they just stood there in awkward silence. Neither of them was quite sure what to make of the other. Sora knew that Roxas resented him a little; for having destroyed the rest of the Organization, for being the one to wield the Keyblade that had brought Roxas' "life" to what it was now. Sora understood, even if neither of them mentioned it. He would have been angry, too, to have his life just ripped away like that.

Oddly, Roxas never appeared in the clothes he'd worn in the fake Twilight Town; he was always in his Organization coat, holding he two Keyblades, Oathkeeper and Oblivion, at his sides. Sora never summoned his Keyblade here; for him, it simply felt strange.

Recently, Roxas' memories had been playing in his dreams at night; Sora wondered if Naminé was restoring his memories of the Organization, the way she had Sora's own. They always made Sora sad, those memories; sad for things he didn't even know, for a home he'd never had to leave.

Sometimes, though, in the middle of a memory, things would just blur out; like there was a peice missing, something that Roxas couldn't remember. Sora had asked him about it, once; the Nobody had just given a somewhat sad shrug in response.

Once, Sora had seen a memory that didn't belong to himself or Roxas; a flash of Riku's face, his blindfold lifted over one eye to give him a clear view of whoever was doing the remembering, on the bridge in front of Beasts' Castle. But Roxas had never met Riku before their fight in the World That Never Was.

Sora had asked Riku about it, even, the only time he'd mentioned the memories to his friend; but Riku didn't know who it had come from, either.

Sora could feel that there was something Roxas wanted to ask him, but the Nobody stayed silent. Sora was usually the one to awkwardly start conversations between the two of them. But for some reason, he couldn't bring himself to ask Roxas what was wrong.

Then, a voice broke the silence.

"Roxas?"

Sora stiffened, and felt Roxas do the way behind him; the chain on the Oblivion Keyblade clinked slightly. It was a girl's voice; sounding a great deal like Kairi, but somehow infinitely sadder.

"Roxas? Have you forgotten me?" The voice seemed even sadder, then. The word forgotten seemed to echo in Sora's ears; wasn't it that Roxas was remembering things, now, not forgetting them? "The blade at your right hand..." Sora glanced down at the Oblivion; Roxas' fingers were clenched tightly around the handle. "Wasn't that a symbol of me?" Sora could almost feel the voice's presense within his heart; like everything about her, it was sad. "Have you really forgotten me, Roxas?"

"I..." Roxas' voice echoed on the stained glass floor. After a moment, his head drooped. There was another clink as the tips of his Keyblades hit the floor. Sora glanced over his shoulder in time to see the image of a girl in an Organization coat, her hood up, disappearing into the black that surrounded the glass pedestal.

"Roxas? Who was that?"

"I don't know, Sora. I just... don't know."

A girl with black hair, cradled in his arms. Her hand on his cheek; one last smile. "Goodbye, Roxas. I'm sorry about everything."

Tears, flowing freely down his cheeks. "No, don't leave me yet. Xi-"

"I want... I want to be with you two." A blurred out face as he put one hand on hers.

"Then come back with us."

"I can't. Not as I am now." A flash; a blurred, familiar face; a face he should recognize, but he didn't. His eyes could only widen, as dark streaks swirled around the face, transforming it into something monstrous.

"That Keyblade... it's a fake." A voice he knew; someone important.

"That's a lie! You know it's not!" Grabbing the weapon; slashing; a fist to the stomach, colasping; the Keyblade disappeared.

Blip.

Sora sat up. That face... my face. That girl, the one from the dream last night. Were those memories of her?

Maybe even her memories? That last one, of Riku and the Keyblade... that hadn't belonged to Roxas. Sora swung out of bed. He needed an answer to this, or it was going to drive him insane for the rest of his life.

"Kairi... the girl who looks like me."

"She's a good friend of Sora's."

"I see... I'm sorry. But I can't disappear yet. Because I have... an important friend."

Blip.

Riku pulled himself out of bed. That dream... It had felt so real. Almost as real as his nightmares about Xehanort's Heartless, the ones he never told Sora and Kairi about, so that they didn't worry. The details were already slipping away; Riku concentrated on the voices. His own voice. That girl's voice. The one who had been haunting his mind for the last three nights. The girl in the Organization coat; the one who looked like Kairi with black hair and Sora's eyes. The girl he could almost remember.

Was she the one, whose memories Sora had dreamt the other night? The girl who remembered him, but that he couldn't remember. Riku sighed.

"Just her name. That's all I need. Just the name..."

"Bout time you two got here." It was odd for Riku to be late as well; Sora usually slept in, but Riku was almost always up with the dawn, especially nowadays. Kairi put her hands on her hips and gave them both her stoniest look.

"Sorry, had a bad dream." Riku glanced at Sora; apparently the brunette hadn't been the only one. Kairi sighed. The only interesting things that ever happened in her dreams were because of Naminé; the blond, at least, had plenty to have nightmares over.

"Roxas giving you trouble again?" Whatever Sora said, Kairi knew from Namine that he and his Nobody didn't exactly get along. But Sora shook his head.

"Not exactly. It's not Roxas." Riku gave a slight nod; Kairi raised her eyebrow at the pair of them.

"Well, fine then. Tell me later. Right now, we need to get you two some clothes that actually fit." Riku gave a little grin; Sora's face turned to a mask of terror. He always made that face when she mentioned shopping. "Come on!" Kairi ran towards town, leaving the two boys in her dust.

"Who is she, Naminé?"

The two of them were in the image of Naminé's room at the Mansion; that was where they usually met, when Sora and Kairi were together. Roxas stared out the window, knowing that he'd see nothing beyond the curtains that could change this place. It was made of memories, after all, like most everything else about Naminé's world.

"Who is she? I have to know." Naminé sighed, folding her sketchbook closed and coming to stand next to him.

"She was... a Replica of Sora made out of the memories I removed at Castle Oblivion. The two of you were very good friends in the Organization." Naminé grabbed his gloved hand in her smaller, pale ones.

"What happened to her? I know Sora didn't fight her."

"No, you're right. You did. When she found out what she was, she attacked you, because she thought that absorbing you would make her into the real Sora." Namine rubbed her hands together, which Roxas had noticed usually meant she was talking about something she'd rather not say. "In the end, you defeated her and absorbed the memories that made up her body. That's why you had to rejoin with Sora in the first place."

"So it's her fault I'm here?"

"Don't blame her, Roxas. She did what she thought was best at the time; she had no idea that erasing herself would cause Sora's memories to stop returning." Naminé sighed. "And she really did erase herself, it seems, if no one other than me remembers her. It's so... sad."

"Maybe you remember her because of your powers over memories." Roxas glanced back towards the window; the gate was closed, but he thought he could see a figure standing on the other side, looking in. Was it her?

"That could be. I don't know. We only met once."

Roxas sighed, staring out the window again. The figure, if it had ever been there, was gone, like it knew he was watching. "So what do you think she's doing now?"

"She's probably asleep within Sora's heart, the same way you were for most of his adventure." One thing that Roxas had noticed was that Naminé avoided mentioning people dying. It was Axel's death that had awoken him; Axel's death that had brought him out of blissful sleep. "Maybe she's waking now. Maybe that's why you're starting to remember."

"Maybe." And then there was her voice last night, asking if he remembered. Yes, the girl was definitely starting to wake up; even Sora had noticed, this time around. "Naminé?"

"Hmm?

"What was her name?"

"...Xion."

"Hey, I just realized something."

"What?" Sora was more surprised at the fact that Roxas spoke, than at the words themselves. For once the Nobody even seemed to be smiling.

"I never did get to go on that trip to the beach."

Sora bit his lip to keep from laughing. "You LIVE on the beach, now." Sora's house was about a ten minute walk from the water.

"No, you live on the beach. I live in your head."

"There's a difference?"

"I guess." Roxas shrugged slightly. "Not like I would know."

"Did you ask Namine about that girl?" Sora leaned back and twisted his head, trying to see Roxas' face again, but still all he saw was a mess of blond hair.

"Yea, I did." Roxas' voice had turned sad. "I feel so bad, for forgetting her... Must be how Kairi felt when she remembered you. Everything's still fuzzy, though. Axel is the only thing I can remember clearly."

"That has to suck." Well, at least he remembered one of his friends. Sora still didn't know the extent of what Namine had done to his memories in Castle Oblivion. "...Do you think she's listening?"

"Probably. She's in here, too. We just can't see her..." Sora sighed. Great, just what he needed. Another crazy Nobody in his head.

What was she dreaming about?

It was a blank white space, the place where she usually met Namine. But this girl wasn't Namine; she was even slighter than Kairi and her Nobody, thin limbs and a tiny waist making her look almost like a doll. But that wasn't what drew Kairi's eyes to her. The black Organization coat stood out far too much against the blinding white, to ever be ignored.

"Kairi." The voice sounded like her own. "I'm glad... I finally got to meet you. The girl who looks like me; the one he likes."

Hadn't Roxas said something like that, too?

"I guess I should thank you. It's because of you..." The girl reached up, lifting the heavy hood off her face. Kairi was startled at how much they looked alike; the most noticable difference was the girl's short cropped black hair. Her eyes were Sora's bright blue, though, not Kairi's own slightly purple shade. "That I can have a face of my own, instead of his." Kairi was confused. A girl with Sora's face? Was that what she meant?

The girl started to turn away, disappearing into the white. Kairi managed to overcome her surprise enough to speak. "Wait! Who are you?"

The girl stopped, turning to face Kairi with a small smile. "Just the girl nobody remembers."

Somewhere in the depths of Sora's heart, Roxas sat on the image of the clocktower created by his memories. There was even an ice cream in his hand, although in this state he couldn't really eat it. It was just like all those times he'd waited for Axel here, alone.

Had he waited for that girl here, too? Had he and Xion ever sat together on this balcony, sharing ice cream together? Had Axel been there? Unconsciously, Roxas glanced at where his friend had once sat. He thought he could see, for a moment, the image of the redhead, smiling at him, but no; that was just a memory. Like so many other things he could almost remember.

"Didn't you promise... That we would share ice cream here together again, Xion?" Did you know then, that it could never be?

Pulling his knees up to his chest, Roxas almost thought he heard something in response. But when he glanced in the direction of the sound, there was nothing except the color of the sunset, except for a single seashell lying on the ledge beside him.

Riku drew back his arm, slashing Way to Dawn at the palm tree. The blade left a gash in the bark, and a coconut fell, narrowing missing his head. The person symbolized by Roxas' Oblivion... The Keyblade Riku himself had wielded in their battle. Sora's Oblivion represented himself, and his Oathkeeper Kairi; Riku had never had any reason before now to think that Roxas' might have some different meaning. Riku had noticed, in passing, that Roxas' Oathkeeper had a different Keychain; not the charm that Kairi had given Sora, but one in a shape like a paopu fruit, or a star.

A Keychain which, or so Riku had heard, resembled the charm Namine had made of Kairi's in Castle Oblivion.

Which then bore the question; if Roxas' Oathkeeper symbolized Namine, then who was it that was represented by Oblivion?

Riku slashed at the tree again. He didn't know why he was so hung up on it. It was such a minor detail, but for some reason, it bothered him. Like the gaps in his memory, after Sora had gone to sleep. There was only static there. Were they memories of that girl, whose name he couldn't remember?

Was she the person most important to Roxas, the Keyblade in his right hand?

"As I'm starting to remember... The thing I want to know most, is why I had to forget."

Sora sighed, rubbing the back of his head (and just about smacking Roxas with his elbow). "Maybe she just didn't want you hurt anymore. It's because of her that you left the Organization, right?" He noticed that, for the first time, Roxas wasn't holding his Keyblades; the familiar clink was absent.

"I don't know... Those last few days are the blurriest, except for my last conversation with Axel after I left." Sora didn't really need the statement; as Roxas' memories were flowing back, he was becoming aware of them, too. Somehow being one person had completely inverted that aspect of their connection.

Sora glanced at his feet. "I want to meet her, too." He thought he could sense Roxas smiling sadly.
