 Ylva wandered along the edge of a pine forest with her pale rat friend Wyrn perched on her back, wondering if she would perhaps find some company somewhere in the area. That was when she heard the sounds of someone approaching. Intrigued by the thought of some company, the Arnulf turned and moved in the direction from which she heard the noise. Sure enough, Ylva soon spotted another Kimera. She couldn't recognize the scent of the other, which meant they hadn't met before. A new arrival perhaps? This only piqued her curiosity further, so Ylva headed onward, stopping within a few yards of the black and gold stranger before sitting down to wait and see if he would come closer.

Skoll stopped in his path, pausing for a moment to sniff the air once more, ears pinning back against his skull as he caught the smell of what he thought to be another kimera. He had yet to meet another soul and was unsure of what he would come across just yet. Scanning the edges of the trees, daring to creep closer to the large pines and grass, all the smells muffled by the plants, skoll carefully wandered into the forest area. Gazing upwards in awe at all the leaves and shade, such a difference from what he was used to.."Tsk..what a place eh" he said to himself, tail wagging slightly behind him to show that he was pleased. "Now, if only I could find what I was looking for..." skoll twitched slightly, jumping as he heard the sound of cracking twigs..

"Hello there?" Ylva called out, wandering among the trees. She was aware that she could have just followed the stranger's scent, but knew it might be better not to sneak up on him, especially since there was no telling how he might react to being startled. Some kimera tended to lash out and attack if frightened. Ylva herself had once been that way, although she had since gotten to the point where she merely jumped a bit if surpriesd. Shaking her head as if to bring herself out of her thoughts, she was surprised to find that she had come to a clearing with a small stream running without realizing it. It wasn't as though it were unfamiliar territory, but she didn't realize she was capable of making her way here without paying attention to her surroundings. Usually the paths of the forest were overgrown with all sorts of plant life. Watching the running water, she noticed there were minnows in the stream. These fish would make a nice meal, perhaps. That was, if she could catch them. Waiting until they were in a large group, Ylva plunged her open jaws into the water with a splash, snapping them shut, but only managing to get a mouthful of water as the school of minnows scattered, swimming away in all directions. Darn. Well, maybe next time. The arnulf then sat down to simply watch the minnows splash around for a while.

Skoll jumped slightly turning to glance at the direction the soft female voice had come from. Was someone calling to him? "Gruu..Hello?" skoll called back, unsure of whether to follow in the direction from which it'd come from, growling softly to himself as he finally decided to just follow. Nothing too bad could come from it, and he was curious enough that he actually wanted to meet someone.
His ears perking slightly at the sound of rushing water, picking up his pace and charging into the small clearing. Skoll yelped softly as he found himself running straight into the small stream there "E-ech..water..ahh." he had to grin, giggling softly at having actually managed to find what he'd been looing for. Though it'd been quite unexpected..

After being thoroughly drenched by the splash the newcomer had caused, Ylva couldn't help but grin in amusement as well. Despite being soaking wet, she was still in a good mood. What an entrance. Shaking herself dry and stifling a giggle, the arnulf decided now would probably be a good time for introductions. "I'm Ylva." she said, tail wagging and sending a few leftover droplets of water at the bushes around the clearing. Then she added, "Who might you be? I don't believe I've seen you around before."

Skoll laughed, wriggling his tails about proudly in the water, glancing up frantically at the bright sound of the females voice. "Ah..skoll?" he tilted his head to the far right, the dark male snickering as he was splashed by stray dropplets. "Heh..you haven't, I'm..thoroughly a new creation" he said slowly as if trying to find the right words for it. He wasnt even sure what he was, truly who he was though he knew he had another out there..ah...brother? Something like that. "Its nice too meet you right?" the arnulf smirked, feeling it was a harmless grin. He'd found water, and now he wouldnt be thirsty, all he needed was food and he had it down!

"Skoll, huh? Well, it's a pleasure to meet you then, Skoll." Ylva replied. "Since you're new around here, perhaps I could give you a bit of a guided tour. That is, if you don't mind." the silvery-grey arnulf added, tail still wagging happily. Then she added half-jokingly, "But you'll probably want to get out of the water first. If you stay in there, you might scare away all the fish I saw earlier, if you haven't already."

Skoll nodded slowly as she said his name and greeted him, giving the arnulf a curious look when she mentioned a tour..tour...mmnn.."I dont think I'd mind, it would be good to learn my surroundings instead of wandering aimlessly about" he smiled softly giving her a sheepish look when he realized he was still just sitting there in the water. "Ahh..forgive me, I didnt mean to chase away your possible meal" he muttered apologetically, getting up and shaking himself dry as he padded closer to her. It could be fun really, being shown around, and it would make life so much easier for him if he knew the way to certain things.
