SkieBorne (7:51:29 PM): Since they'd arrived and become part of the pride, he'd gotten to know the lions through observation and careful interaction... testing the waters as it were. This day he was lying out in the sun near the dens, pondering his status as a provisionary. This pride was intriguing indeed and the beliefs rather spoke to him, made him smile that the Jini-msemi were so adamant in their traditions and doctrines surrounding death, birth, life, and afterlife.

Tossing his mane, flexed his forepaws and settled down to watch. Lay low, he knew, become a part of the pride, a part of the back drop. It would be most entertaining, like the group he'd come in with.

nessiaing1102 (8:35:06 PM): Semira was also living as a part of the background, not wanting to draw unnecassary attention to herself. Being here in a pride was wonderful, in ways it made her remember her childhood. A childhood that was originally so blissfull, but then the raid happened and she was sepearted and lost all alone. She wanted to become a member her, the pride was so welcoming and their beleifs were intruiging something that she wanted to learn more about.

Mira was wondering around the pack lands taking it all in, trying to remember where things were and place names and faces when she saw Mysmyr settled off to the side, clearing watching the others. She made her way over to him, Mysmyr was the last lion to have joined their little grow and therefor she didn't know him nearly as well as the other lions. But none the less she thought of him as family, just a family member she hadn't gotten to know all that well. "Hi Myr" she greeted him kindly.

SkieBorne (8:39:56 PM): He blinked, tilted head to peer at the one who called him, "Mm? You looking for something?" His smile was slight, expression bemused. "Touring? How's that going?" Shifting so that he wasn't facing away from her, Mysmyr stood and nodded proper greeting. If nothing else, he was always sure to observe traditions - too much friction occurred otherwise. Besides, pleasantries usually worked much better then being aggressive when making aquaintances.

nessiaing1102 (8:52:30 PM): Semira settled next to him, she knew that Mys could be a little awkward in social situations, but that didnt bother her, she was also rather uncomfortable in most social situations.

" I suppose you could call what I am doing touring around." she stated, "I was trying to get the map of this place worked out in my head. I am tired of feeling like I am lost all the time. I am still trying to get use to all the other lions in the area." It was true Semira had spent so much of her life alone that she had kind of gotten use to it, it wasn't until she joined her little band of lions, which was when she was already an adult.

SkieBorne (8:58:17 PM): "Ah, I see. Becoming familiar with the lay of the land is a wise decision. Wise indeed." He fell quiet, pondering whether or not he should do likewise. Probably. The more you knew, right? Little hideaways and secret grottos in the swamp were bound to prove useful.

To her admission about being unused to multiple lions, he shrugged. He'd been around others almost his entire life, a social community was nothing new to him and was more of a playground for the intellectual lion then a source of intimidation. "There are many, aren't there? Even a good number of provisionaries like ourselves. The Jini-msemi are a hospitable group indeed. Have you made many friends?"

nessiaing1102 (9:20:10 PM): Semira thought about the lions she had met "I can't say that I have that many others, nor have a made friends. I guess I have kept to myself far to much. Its just really hard to trust so many others all at once." She smiled it had been hard for her to even feel at home with her small group, he 'family' as she had begun to think of them as. But here there were so many other lions.

"It is true they are very hopsitable, the number of provisionaries is rather astonishing, I have never seen so many lions living together with out offically belonging to the pride, I mean how can they keep the laws in order, it must be somewhat difficult for the leaders. I am actually excited to become a member, to go on my pilgrm." As Semira thought about her naming quest she may have to do when she became a member, she realized that that would mean she would be on her one... but hopefully by then she woulld be more comfortable with herself and others. Perhaps that was somethign being here could help her with. "What about you Mysmyr are you happy being here, do you want to stay?"

SkieBorne (11:25:54 PM): The lion watched her for some time before nodding, "I'm happy to be here, yes. I think many opportunities will open up before us. It's good you're excited, hopefully the enthusiasm will catch the leaders' attention and see you become a full member faster." Mysmyr settled back down onto his belly, tail flicking from side to side.

nessiaing1102 (11:32:48 PM): What Mysmyr said got her thinking, what where the leaders looking for in the new members what made on more desirable then the others. "Well I guess all we can do is try our best." She smiled at the white lion, "Come on Mysmyr, you are always sooo quite, what is it that is running through your head." she gave him a nudge. She had warmed up to him greatly in such a short time, it was odd for her.

SkieBorne (11:38:22 PM): "Agreed," he replied and shoved gently back at when she nudged him, "Nothing, really. Just watching... observing. It's my hobby. I enjoy watching and learning the rhythms of my comrades. You learn how to move then, how to get around without raising trouble." Mysmyr offered a small smile to her, "So, really, I'm not thinking about much."

nessiaing1102 (11:50:44 PM): Semira thought about what he had said and wondered if perhaps she could learn how to associate with other lions just by watching them and learning from observing. It was an interesting idea, "So Mys what have you learned about our new home, what are the lions like here." She smiled suddenly intruiged by the idea of lion watching, it seemed like a interesting way of learning. Then something click in her head "What did observing me tell you" she wondered out loud.

SkieBorne (11:55:57 PM): He pondered her words a moment then smiled easily, "I've learned that the pride is tight knit and devoted to their beliefs. That there are ranks for new members like you and I show that they're reluctant to accept new blood." Mysmyr shrugged, "As for you... you're forward, curious, and determined. You ask a lot of questions. Most would say that's a good thing."

nessiaing1102 (12:01:24 AM): Semira thought about what he said, she wouldn't call herself foward, though she guessed at times, if someone could getting her talking she didn't shut up. She had to ask questions to make sure that the lion she met wasn't one that wrecked her childhood. But then she thought about what he said about the pride they were in, if they were closed off to new blood then she wondered if she would ever be accepted into the pride, it wasn't like she was the easiest lion to get a long with. She never appeared to be that approachable, and often used her black pelt to hide in the shadow off to the side lines. "Well Mysmyr, I hope they accept us. I don't want to start travelling again. I want to stay put I want to have a home"

She sighed the thought of travelling all the time was an uncomfortable thought for her. What would happen if her 'family' was accepted but she wasn't that would be horrible she would be all alone. It would be awful, she began to show her signs of nervousness fidgiting beside the lion.

SkieBorne (12:09:11 AM): "Hey," hie voice was firmer now as he noticed her fidgeting, "They probably want you as part of their group. You're a Provisionary, right? They wouldn't name you as one if you weren't to become one of the family... if we weren't. Just have to impress them like you've been doing. Hm? Think about it. Not that hard."

nessiaing1102 (12:14:25 AM): His voice made her calm down right away. It wasn't that he yelled he just made sure he was clear and it did the trick. "I guess you are right, Mysmyr." She smiled at him again. It was great to have someone she was able to talk to. She in some ways missed just the small group she was ok with just them, she had learned to be comfortable with the other 5 lions. Hopefully she could get to that point with the other lions in this group, slowly but surely she would get to know the other lions here. And as far as she could tell none of them were the ones that raided her childhood pride. She could be safe here, this could be home.

SkieBorne (12:17:52 AM): He just smiled at her and winked, "Care to lion-watch with me? The hunters are due back any time now. There should be some commotion as the kills are brought in. You'll help with that one day, I think." Mysmyr glanced around, "Something to do with the community. You certainly seem like you want to be a part of it."

nessiaing1102 (12:21:49 AM): Semira smiled, "I do want to be a part of it, I loved being in a pride when I was a child, it does provide a lot of security." It was wonderful to have that security back, it would help her build her confidence. "I would love to lion watch with you." she answered, mildly amazed that he already had parts of the prides schedule. "What do you mean by commotion" she asked as she turned and looked towards the main entrance to the pridelands.

SkieBorne (12:26:59 AM): "The hustle and bustle of the kill? The pride's got to eat, Semira." He blinked at her. Wasn't that obvious? "Stay a while and you might learn a thing or two." He chuckled and patted the ground beside him with a paw, tail flicking in contentment.

nessiaing1102 (12:28:20 AM): Semira settled in next to him, content to spend more time with him. It had a been a good day for her, and she was actually looking foward to spending mroe time with Mysmyr in the future, she was beigning to see him in a new light.
