In the late afternoon at a beach in Valcor, Shika, a toddler with black and white hair, one green eye and one blue eye, and pale skin, built a sand castle. Well it looked more like a lump of sand but it was a sand castle, any toddler could see that. Shika stood up and walked over to the ocean. The tide flowed gently as Shika bent over to pick up a seashell. As Shika sat down to examine the shell a large wave splashed salty water into her mouth and stole the shell from her hand. She sat there dazed for a moment, then simply wondered aloud "Why da water taste ickish?"
Olivia, Shika's gaurdian laughed outloud as Shika got a mouthfull of water. "Gross, isn't it? She asked Shika. Shika's only reply was "Ya-hu."

Running a hand through tangled pink colored bangs, as Erith stoled down the beach. He rarely ever came down to the beach, more so he never had time to, but finding the time to do so today made him happy. He loved watching the tide come in and the waves pounding into the sand.
In the not so far off distance, he hard loud laughter. Curiously he decided to check out what was going on. Nearing the place where he heard the laughter, he caught sight of a woman and a little girl.

Shika looks around in search of something intersting to watch. Watching what's in her surroundings is one of her favorite things to do. As she's looking around she notices and apprentice walking along the beach. She stares at him hoping somthing interesting will happen. She waves at him and as loud as she can, shouts "Hi person!"
There Shika goes again, making new friends, Olivia thinks.

Erith shakes his head with a slight chuckle when the little girl shouts to him while waving. "Hello there, little one!" he shouts and waves back with a smile. He looks to the woman for a moment before moving closer.

Shika grins at the thought of being greeted. She's run up the apprentice, tripping a few times along the way. Shika grabs three of his fingers and shakes his hand. "I had ta greet yu more for...form...formi..ia(formally) I give up!
I had ta greet yu more polite-like." she stutters. "Wha you name?"
she asks. "I'm Shika"
Olivia laughed. All Olivia could think of was how silly Shika was.

Chuckling, Erith shakes Shika's hand back. "Its nice to meet you, Miss Shika," He smiles. "My name is Erith" he answers.

"I not miss Shika, I jus Shika! Wha is a miss anysways! Shika replies." The toddler notices a shell lying in the grainy sand and begins to stare at it. "Ooooh, pretty! Shika mumbles."
Shika's so spacey sometimes! Olivia thinks.

Erith forces back his laughter, amused by the Shika's short attention span. He bends down a picks up the shell Shika is staring at and examines it. Looking at the little girl he smiles. "Is this the one you think is pretty Shika?" with a smile.

Shika's eyes followed the shell as Erith picked it up. "Yah, dat it!. It's purty!" Shika bent down and picked up another shell. "This one also purty! An dat an dat one an dat one an also dat one, they is all purty shells!" Shika exclaimed. Shika ran over to her lump of sand castle. "We can decawate (decorate) my sand castle with the purty shells!" Shika shouted. "Oh by the way, that my mommy." Shika informed Erith while pointing at Olivia.
Olivia waved at Erith. "Hello, I'm Olivia." she said in response to being introduced.
