Well I wanted to buy a copy but it's too expensive at the moment and I want to wait until it goes down so I just downloaded it last night so I can listen to it... wow it was pretty good.

I was thinking that Prince had changed his style because of what he gave us on the last album, Planet Earth, but yeah... the first part of the album LotusFlow3r was more like Planet Earth, slower jazzy songs and some observations about today's world. I was thinking while listening to it that if it was not Prince I would never listen to any of that.

But then I heard MplSound and it blew me away. The songs are so good. They are really upbeat and catchy... they would really fit in with all the other stuff that's on the radio these days. And he used the synthesizer on most of them! I was so shocked. It really takes you back to the Purple Rain times with the synthesizer in the songs... that great Prince sound. Now this part, if I heard any of these songs and didn't know it was Prince I would totally listen to them anyways.

And then the Bria Valente part of the album, I haven't located all of the songs yet for download but I got 3 so far and they were pretty good. Bria has a nice voice and Prince featured a bit on the songs... so yeah. It was a smart idea for him to give her a feature in the cd set because anyone who listens to Prince will listen to her and will probably end up becoming a fan.
