Kasumi was out by herself today, practicing taking off from the ground instead of jumping from a cliff or tree like she's used to. Her muscles wouldn't grow strong that way. A new friend had taught her that. Since flying from the ground she had indeed become stronger, which made her so happy. She just could not wait until her wings were fully grown and all her flight feathers were there.
Her Mother was on her mind as she flapped her wings in a certain way to catch air beneath them. She began running, then jumped up and was off soaring in the air. The feeling of the breeze through her fur made her smile.

The large male was out wandering on his own for now. He had new grandchildren (He hadn't even met all of them!) New family member's it was all pretty new and getting a little crazy. Sure before the pride was down he had lots of children and grandchildren except it was a little different, he only had a few daughters left. He felt so old. He shrugged the idea off as he wandered away from where he normally stayed. He finally moved away from Zarah and her mate. Now he was going to spend some time just to himself.
well thats what he thought.
But he wouldn't mind company with the lioness he was going to spend time with. He hadn't met Umi's children yet, she told him about their birth and everything but he had been so busy that he hadn't been around to meet any of them. But he was about to as he wandered the lands.

Kasumi purred as the wind ruffled her fur and clothing, cooling her off as the sun shone down on her. To fly was amazing. Though she couldn't say so much around her Mother. It was her dream to soar high in the sky. This was something she shared with her Father more than anybody.
As she caught an updraft that carried her higher yet, she spotted a lion several feet below her. She tilted her head, looking over the colors of his fur, then at her own, until she finally gave into her growing curiousity and landed near him.
"Hello"

He was spaced out for a moment before he noticed something flying around him. He couldn't help but to grin a little. The colors he recognized him. However one thing he wasn't that sure of was clothes. Ah the idea just made him chuckle, Zarah's children also wore clothes normally. However the scent and the looks of the cub, no not cub, teen, He new she was related to him. He chuckled softly as he nodded toward the little female. "Hello there!" He chuckled softly. "You must be one of Umi's daughters, aren't you?" He smiled softly before grinning a little more. "You look like your mother." He chuckled again.

Her eyes widened as he mentioned her Mother's nickname. Umicho had spoken often about her loving Father, telling Kasumi all about him. She'd always looked forward to meeting him. And here he was, right in front of her. The color of his fur matched hers, which made her smile brightly.
"Then your my Grandpa. I'm so excited to meet you! I'm Kasumi." She giggled softly, moving in to nuzzle up to him in a loving way. "Our fur looks identical!"

Zaff watched the younger lioness with curious eyes, hoping that he really was related to her and that he wasn't making himself look like a crazy old man. Then he saw the smile and he knew that this had to be one of them. "I guess I am!" He said with a deep chuckle before sitting back on his haunching letting her nuzzle him before he reached out a large paw and pulled her closer to him into a hug before he let her go and ruffled her hair.
"We do look the same. But I see some of your mother, and I see some of your apparent father too!" He chuckled again before he nuzzled her softly again.

Kasumi giggled when he ruffled her hair. He was right though. She mainly had the looks of her Father. The clothing, hair, wings, and wing colors were from Daniel. Only was the "mask" and colorings from her Mother and Grandfather. Though that was of little importance to her. She looked like her family. That was all.
With a playful growl she kicked forward, pouncing on her Grandfather, giggling the entire time. Her wings were folded and pinned to her back. A trick her Father taught her.

Zaff chuckled softly at his granddaughter. "You realy are just as beautiful as your mother." The colorings reminded him so much of his old mate... He still really missed her some times. However he knew that some time soon he would have to get over her.
Then as she pounced on him he couldn't help but to laugh some himself He pulled a paw and wrapped it around her body, before pulling it to the side and pulling her gently in front of her before he tickled her belly lightly with his tail feathers.

Kasumi giggled, nibbling on his ear flakes until he rolled her off and started tickling her belly. That had always been her weak spot as far as tickling went. As she squirmed she reached up trying to bat at anything in vain.
"I love you Grandpa."

Zaff chuckled softly and pulled his grandaughter close once more before smiling. "I love you too." He looked around for a moemnt before smiling at her. "Its getting dark out, would you like for me to escort you home to your mother?" He chuckled softly with a nod. He didn't want his daughter worrying about the little girl.

Kasumi nuzzles her Grandfather's cheek, smiling. "Yea. I should probably be getting back home. Wanna come with me Grandpa?" Moves back so she can stretch her wings a bit.
