__________________  Hades is the lord of the dead and ruler of the nether world, which is referred to as the domain of Hades or, by transference, as Hades alone. He is the son of Cronus and Rhea. When the three sons of Cronus divided the world among each other, Hades was given the underworld, while his brothers Zeus and Poseidon took the upperworld and the sea respectively. For a while Hades ruled the underworld together with Persephone, whom he had abducted from the upperworld, but Zeus ordered him to release Persephone back into the care of her mother Demeter. However, before she left he gave her a pomegranate and when she ate of it, it bound her to the underworld forever.
Hades sits on a throne made of ebony, and carries a scepter. He also has a helmet, given to him by the Cyclopes, which can make him invisible. Hades rules the dead, assisted by various (demonic) helpers, such as Thanatos and Hypnos, the ferryman Charon, and the hound Cerberus. Many heroes from Greek mythology have descended into the underworld, either to question the shades or trying to free them. Although Hades does not allow his subjects to leave his domain, on several occasions he has granted permission, such as when Orpheus requested the return of his beloved Eurydice.
Hades possesses the riches of the earth, and is thus referred to as 'the Rich One'. Possibly also because -- as Sophocles writes -- 'the gloomy Hades enriches himself with our sighs and our tears'. Of all the gods, Hades is the one who is liked the least and even the gods themselves have an aversion of him. People avoided speaking his name lest they attracted his unwanted attention. With their faces averted they sacrificed black sheep, whose blood they let drip into pits, and when they prayed to him, they would bang their hands on the ground. The narcissus and the cypress are sacred to him.

Name: Otium
Nickname: Ottie (only from his family)
Stage: Child
Race: Unknown
Appearance: Otium is rather tall for his age. His skin, and whole body in general, seems to be a greyish-white tone as if he just stepped out of an old movie. He always dresses up. ALWAYS. You will never see him without a suit on and he ALWAYS wears his hat. He has jet black hair that has been getting longer as he grows. It's long enough to keep in a ponytail. The only color on his body are his chilly ice-blue eyes. They have gotten increasingly more vivid in color as he's grown. He seems to be able to control whether his clothing retains it's color or not, but he prefers black and white. Precious metals and gems DO NOT fade in color while he wears them.
Personality: Otium is silent and mysterious. He only speaks when he feels it is absolutely necessary. He is rather withdrawn but not enough to prevent him from socializing. As a baby it seemed he was shy, as a child it seems like a personal decision. He has an innate regality and sense of entitlement that is entirely unexplained.
Hobbies: Otium collects valuables. It isn't that he is a thief, he just knows where to find them and has this idea that they are all his. He's learned as he's gotten older that he just can't take those sort of things. He has grown to be enjoy the defense classes he takes with Bloodstone. He has been learning self defense, martial arts, and wrestling. Despite his love to stay neat and clean, he seems to like the focus that the physical activities give him.
Abilities: Otium has several strange abilities that are natural to him. Firstly he can see, speak to and order around shades. By shades I mean spirits or ghosts. As a child they seemed to just be something he could see and interact with, but as he's grown his control has increased and he can now command those spirits with a weaker will.
Secondly, Otium can control (to a point) people's perception and memory of him. This is limited in that you either remember him or you don't. Sometimes he has no control over this at all and if he has been absent for an extended period of time, without anything to remember him by, even his closest friends may not remember he even existed. The only up-side to this is that his actions and words will have left an undeniable impression on those he has affected, even if they don't remember why.
Lastly, Otium seems to know instinctively where to find valuables and riches and also once he has seen or encountered them, he can tell you where they are at any given time. This isn't something he has explored very much, but he has given out coins to his closest friends. These coins he just pulled from his hat and if he ever needs to find his friends, all he needs to do is track those coins down in his mind.
History: Otium came to the Concord household with his brother Mael on the same night. He came from a mysterious black and white book that gave off music like an old-time movie. Otium has always been a quiet child, and though he is close with his family, he rarely calls his parents mom or dad. He's displayed quite powerful abilities and a very forceful, yet quiet personality. After several run ins with horrors and beasts of the night, Otium has matured greatly. Most recently his father and brothers disappeared and he has fallen into his studies heavily under the guidance of Bloodstone the Shadow Fiend and a mysterious shade named Eluetherius. His mother worries that Otium may take some things into his own hands in the future, and she is wary of that approaching time. She is also wary of this shade he seems to speak with, whom she cannot see.
Immaculate: She is Otium's daemon, his soul animal, and she is with him at all times. She acts as his conscience most of the time. As a baby she was mostly his defender. As he has grown and developed a more dominating personality, she has acted as an advisor to Otium. She's growing just as fast as him. Immaculate is a polar bear-cat. She has the size and appearance of a polar bear with the agility and personality of a wild feline.

__________________  Name: Halo (Whether this is her real name or not is unknown)
Born: June 11
Job(s) : Part-time writer. Owner of Passional, the "intimates" store of Port Gino. Before moving here she was known to have different jobs here and there but her main source of income is really unknown.
Appearance: Halo is on the average to tall size for a woman. She's gained a little weight in recent years, no longer as stick thin as she used to be, but she still is regarded as thin - yet curvy. Her hairstyles change often but she has dark hair that is never tampered with. Her clothing style is not solid but she is always in something relaxed. Getting older, though not visibly, has expanded her taste in clothes so that while relaxed, she always looks funky-yet-feminine. One of her arms is tattooed in a full sleeve, something that draws attention in a crowd.
Personality: Halo's personality is much different since she first arrived in Gaia. With all the life changing events since she arrived here, she's grown up and mellowed out. She is still the fun-loving crazy woman inside, but externally there is much more of an air of maturity about her. With her husband gone ( missing? ) she has lost her partner in crime and it has clearly affected her on some internal level.
Hobbies and Special Skills: Halo is very good with computers. She loves to read and write. She's a comic nerd and tends to watch cheesy TV and movies and LOVE them. She's also a video game addict and fits in gaming between work and comic book reading as much as possible.
Personal and Family History: Halo doesn't share any info about her family before this point or her life. She did have a mother and a father and she has mentioned a brother every now and again but noone will ever meet them. What she IS and what she's DONE are pure mystery. There has been rumor that she may have a little bit of demon in her, but there is no eveidence to support that.
Theres some talk of her having rather questionable origins based off of her fondness for motorcycles, weapons and leather. There is talk of magic in her blood as well but she's never demonstrated anything of the sort (publicly). How she came to meet Wren is also a mystery that only the two of them know. She and Wren were inseperable before his disappearance.
She lives in Port Gino with her children and tries as much as she can to keep everyone happy. Many of her children and wards have grown, developed or moved away and so she lives mostly a quiet life now.

LOOKS : Algie is a good looking, middle aged man. Even though he is retired, Algie really isn't very old. He has light brown hair that is graying at the temples and a salt and pepper 5 o'clock shadow the majority of the time. As a retiree he feels no need to dress up unless on a special occasion. He's mostly seen in plain shirts with cardigans along with his standard pair of glasses. The only remarkable things about his appearance are his brilliant emerald colored eyes and a tattoo of a green dragon he has on his chest. This tattoo is rarely seen by anyone but himself.
PERSONALITY : Algie is a very laid back sort of man. His exciting lifestyle as a younger man fulfilled most of his life's goals and so now he is a pretty content sort of fellow. He is very giving, always willing and eager to help. He's very knowledgeable on various different subjects as a learned person would be. He doesn't have a significant other so he has a lot of love to give those in his family. He has seen his share of nightmares in his lifetime and he doesn't do much talking about his time as an Auror. He's quick with a smile and laughs at almost every joke. All around, Algie is just a very nice man.
HISTORY : After an exciting life through his twenties and thirties, Algie settled down. He spent some time teaching, a part time job, and even worked a bit in a book store owned by a friend. Most recently his daughter asked him to come and stay in her home to take care of her children while she went away to search for her missing husband. Algie, happy to spend time with his grandchildren and eager to help in any way, moved into her house where he has been living ever since. His grandsons are growing fast and need less and less attention. While Algie is an experienced and skilled wizard he usually only uses magic for everyday activities. Having spent most of his life with an emphasis on powerful magic, he now just avoids it unless it is a dire situation. He certainly wouldn't be someone you would want to threaten, though he avoids confrontation as much as possible. He may even be a bit of a pushover. He mostly reads and enjoys the garden while taking care of his kitten, Fizzgig.
His kitten is literally a fuzzy lump of cream colored fur with bright blue eyes. She's sort of like a tiny blob of kitten. Chubby.. fluffy.. and sleeps a lot. She's really small and can fit in his pocket.

Halo & Wren ( mother & father ) : Otium has always had a hard time accepted Halo and Wren as 'mom and dad'. He cares for them a lot but is a rather serious and distant boy.
Mael ( brother ) : Mael is Otium's brother and his best friend. They loved to scheme and plot together as children. Otium has gotten very withdrawn from the rest of the family since Mael's absence.
Alex and Lafe ( brothers, Legends ): Otium's other brothers always seem to have their own thing going on. Regardless, Alex and Lafe compliment Otium and Mael very well and all 4 boys have always gotten along.
Uncle Tom and Uncle Carmine - Tom and Carmine's relation to Halo and Wren is sketchy but the two are dedicated family friends. They were very influential in Otium's life as a baby but they have since moved away to do their own thing.
OTHER HOUSEHOLD MEMBERS
Gallium ( MENDELS ) - Gallium is the element of her name. She has a hard time staying solid at anything above room temperature. She's really into music, piercing and tattoos. Very big attitude for such a small being.
Hela ( HICCUPS ) - Hela is newer to the household. She was taken in as a wayward teenager who just showed up at the door. She's a lovely and personable girl despite her strange appearance.
Bloodstone ( SHADOW FIEND ) - Bloodstone is a shadow fiend. Previously bound to Halo he had many hardships. He is now bound to Algie in the hopes of a new, less stressful life.
Rurik ( FEIEN FAIRIES ) - Rurik is vain and bossy. He lives with Gallium and Valsharess in a room of their own. His element is metal so he thrives with Gallium as a friend.
Valsharess ( FEIEN FAIRIES ) - Valsharess is strange and slightly airheaded. She's an adult but she acts very girlish. She loves girlie things. Her sphere of influence is Respiration.
The house also contains many varieties of ghosts, monsters, medusas and furry beasts that they family has had as pets over the years.
