Nac sighed as he sat down he'd followed the river somewhat to the jungle's edge but he hadn't found sign of what he was looking for.
So he sat there looking through the slowly thinning jungle that eventually gave way to the rest of the rouge lands and the savanna. It seemed like today wasn't his day either and it was liking going to be another dull one.
His mind flickered back to the female leopard he'd met... and his new friend the 'goddess of the butterflies' as she deemed herself to be. He was still impressed of course by her adornments and wasn't about to break the girls blissful pleasure. Even if she wasn't a true goddess she was pretty enough to make up for it.
He looked around one brow lofted for a second before looking at the water. "Sooo... now which way do I look?" He asked after a second.

Adelpha didn't quite know where she was, but that didn't worry her. Nothing worried her, when it came down to it. She loved exploring, and now that she was old enough to stay on her own for days, weeks or however long she wanted, she was taking advantage of her big paws to take her as far as they could.
This land was different than what she was used to seeing. Savannah grass had given way to strange trees, more than usual. She liked it. Something about this place smelled nice, and not like dried out dirt. Maybe it was the green leaves. Or the bushes. Or whatever it was that was growing in the bushes.
Whatever.
The spacey cub hummed a song as she walked along, making up each note as the impulse took her. Some were a bit too high, while others lasted too long or seemed to come from no where. Her song wasn't a cohesive one, but then, she didn't want it to be. Ears perking, she thought she heard a voice nearby. Someone talking to themselves? It certainly had that tone. She was very used to that tone.
She turned around, thinking it was back closer to the dirt smelling grass land, and padded the short distance between her and another hybrid. A boy! There were no boys in her family, so she didn't recognize him to be of mix blood, like her.
"Hello!" She called in her sing song voice.

Nac's head turned to the voice his brow lofted for a second before spotting a purple female. He chuckled, "Why hello."
He looked her over for a second before tail flickering. Noticing something mainly that she kind of reminded him of his sisters that he hadn't seen in ages. He turned around sitting so he was facing her.
"Interesting colors you have miss." He said with a smile as he nodded his head.

Adelpha smiled broadly, already won over by this nice male. Of course, it was because he had appealed to her vanity and anyone willing to do that was a friend in her book. She thought her pelt color was beautiful, after all, and the only thing she loved more than reminding herself of that was when other people did it for her.
The spacey, friendly young leopon purred and moved closer, dancing around him to let him see her whole coat, as well as the way she moved.
"If interesting means 'pretty', then I'll thank you! But if it doesn't then you might not be looking well enough yet!" She hummed melodically, still following the song in her head.
"My name is Adelpha. What's your name? I like your green tail!"

Narcissus chuckled, "Interesting, means anything you want it to miss."
He smiled watching her amused he seemed to have a realization of something. He flickered his tail and lofted a brow with a grin.
"Oh what a pretty name~ It suits you well. My name is Narcissus, you could call me Nac though." He beamed at her. "And why thank you~"
He looked around curiously, head tilting slightly, "Soo what are you doing out here?" He asked curiously ears perked.

"Nac? From Narcissus? I'll let you know when that makes sense to me, but right now it doesn't," she laughed, sitting down in front of him and tilting his head to the side, because she noticed he was tilting his and it only seemed right to balance the situation, literally.
"I'm just out here to be out here!" she answered triumphantly, looking around, "though I might not know where 'here' is, exactly, it really is pretty! There weren't trees like this back home."
Easily distracted at the best of times, she padded over to the nearest tree and stretched her front paws up the trunk, as far as she could reach, before curling her toes and digging her claws into the soft bark. She pulled her arms down, scratching long marks into the bark.
"Everything smells so different here! You do, too. Or. You smell. I can't say different because I've never met you before. But it's definitely not something I've smelled before."

Nac blinked at the younger leoponess. "Heh.... it's what my mother called me. ... No one's really ever said anything about it." He scratched the back of his head unsure of this one.
"It's the Jungle." He said softly, as he watched her dig her claws into the bark.
He looked unsure if he should be insulted or not. "... I..." He lost all train of thought before backing up and actually forgetting the river was there he fell in. Sitting up of course it wasn't that deep. However it was enough of an unpleasant surprise for him to have a crossed look on his face.
"Anyways..." He said still sitting in the river. "Where is where you came from?"

Adelpha looked back at him when he stammered. He seemed a bit confused! She couldn't imagine why. Of course, in her head, everything she was saying made sense, so there was clearly no need for confusion.
Right?
She saw him move a bit too close to the river, but thought he surely wasn't going to fall in unless he wanted to, since he must have known it was there. Another thing that made perfect sense. But then he did fall in, so she concluded that he must have wanted to. Padding over, she splashed into the river and sat down beside him.
No questions asked.
"I don't know, really! I've been walking for a while, and I don't think I've been walking in much of a straight line. But I'm sure I'll find my way back if I want to!" She laughed, not worried about that at all.

He looked at her once again with a lofted brow. "Unless you're like my sisters and then conclude that you're lost...."
His tail flickered he was looking at her considering she'd just sat beside him. He'd normally try to charm a lady... However this lady left his poor head spinning to the point of where he couldn't figure out what to say.
"Soooo.... what's your family like?" He asked after a long pause. Curious to see if that'd leave him also in a head spin.

Adelpha looked at him with bright, warm eyes. She nodded at him. She didn't like to think of herself as 'lost', per se. She was just temporarily displaced, and would either find her way back or find a new home. Either way, she wasn't going to sweat the small stuff.
"Well, I have three sisters and they're all pretty great. My dad is a lion and my mom is a leopard and they let me pick my own name. Dad worries about a lot of stuff, but mom likes music," she didn't indicate why those two thoughts were counterpoints.
Tilting her head, she wondered about his family, since now she was thinking about it.
"You're a boy, right? So do you have sisters, or are they all boys too?"

He chuckled finally an easy to talk about subject. He flicked his tail. "Both of mine are sisters. I'm the only male in the litter. However they ran off when we were really young though."
He tilted his head. "Your mom likes music huh?"

"The only male, huh? That's one more than in my family," she really liked this fact, so she repeated it often to whoever would listen. What wasn't to like about a family of girls? It wasn't that she had anything against boys, no, she loved her dad, but she didn't think she'd get along as well with a boy as she did the girls.
She looked painfully said when he said they had run off.
"Your family left you and your sisters? Mom and dad? That's horrible! I love my mom and dad. Mom sings and dances, and she has these gold things on her that dangle and ring when she moves. Dad makes sure we're all safe. I don't think I'd like being without them forever."
She tilted her head, swishing her tail in the water.

Nac chuckled, "Mom clung to me like a fish to water honestly. Until she finally found someone to give her closure."
He shrugged "Dad never was around but he would be if I ever needed him." He grinned, "Some times it's easier just to yell at him even if he's no where around and then he's there."
His tail flickered, "So yeah. Didn't mind so much about him disappearing."

Adelpha didn't really follow, but nodded like she had. She smiled, nudging him with her shoulder before bouncing forward, out of the water. Her hind dripped water, big drops flying from the tip of her tail as she ran forward, swinging it behind her.
"Why are we in the water?" She asked at last. She turned to him, padding back so that her front paws were in the water. Tilting her head, she smiled at him.
"Do you want to go fishing? Or do you want to be a fish? I'm not sure I could hold my breath long enough to be a fish, though, so I'd have to stick with fishing and then I'd probably have to catch you, don't you think? That would be weird for everyone."

Nac laughed, "I er tripped..... and decided just to sit here. Besides it's nice and cool." He paused watching a fish swim by he moved his paw batting at it and trying to remove it from the water.
"I don't think we could be fishes anyways. Unless there's a god of fish and he has a power that can turn you into a fish.... which would likely be bad."
He shrugged and offered her the fish. "Want something to eat?"
