[[A/N: A long time ago in a galaxy far far away there existed a guild in which there existed an RP and said RP was called "Excessive Caffination."
This RP was devoted to a small coffee shop and the colorful and charismatic characters that walked through the doors.
Since that RP and Guild no longer exist I wanted to pay it a Tribute by creating "Brewed Awakenings" and asking everyone to bring both old and new characters to the table and into the new coffee shop.]]
Just outside of a popular state University sits a simple and historic downtown area where small businesses line the streets. One of these shops in particular is a uniquely named coffee shop: Brewed Awakenings.
A popular spot for students of the university, the coffee shop is also a hangout for locals and a new and wonderful experience for those who are new in town.
Equipped with wifi for those who need internet, a comfy set of lime green living room furniture and walls and decorations all light and bright pastel colors, Brewed Awakenings is a shop for everyone.
However, due to the recent recession, the coffee shop has discovered that its kindness and easygoing attitude with money would not benefit it as the small business now faces going under.
With the help of the creative minds of the customers who walk in, the kind and troubled owner must come up with a ploy to either get more customers or be done for.

Cali Forster (18 )
Occupation: Babysitter at a kids daycare
Appearance: Cali, even know time has passed, could never cut her hair. So it remians to fall past her lower back in bloond brown waves. Eyes still the same midnightblue, wish are always covered by her sunglasses. The only thing changed is her height. She grew an extra inch, makin her five foot four. Also with time she has filled out, and by that I mean matured into a womens body.
Bio: Cali grew up in a house with a overprotective father and two brotheres. Her and her mom were well pampered by them. So she is used to haveing a man to do all the hard work. But since she left the last coffee shop she ended her relationship and is now back to loving the singel life.
Tidbits: Cali loves sunglasses and might kill any one that breaks one of the many pairs she has always on her.
Alexis House (21)
Occupation: Owner of the store
Appearance: Alexis is a tall slender girl. Straight brown hair that just barly reaches below her sholders. But cut to frame her face. Her eyes delicatly shaped with the startling color of soft grey clouds. Sculpted cheeks from just the right bone placement. With a little make up she stood out. Legs lean and built to carry her with a graceful stride. Arms delicate yet strong, from lugging around boxs in the store.
Always dressed nice but hardly ever anything name brand. She favores a pair of sunglasses on her head rather then over her eyes. Necklaces with chrams that tinckle and ring.
Bio: Alexis was born in the town, and rais less then five miles from the shop. Her mom left her hand her dad at age five. Alexis grew up with no other sibblings and her rather clueless father.He raised her to the best of his abbility. Alexis enrolled in ballet classes when she was six and still dances to this day, thou she has less time due to running the shop. Which was opend by her dad when she was fourteen. Soon after opening, however, he had an work related accident. It was hard for him to keep wroking so from there, she took on the job wile he sat to the side and managed. Once she got older, she just took over.

It had started out a rather normal day. A few customers here and there in the morrning, then as the day began to drag on. Almost no ne. But that was how things had been going as of late. Not many people had money for a little coffee and tea any more.
The only thing really left to do for the day was to sit around and wait for some of her friends to come in, to talk her into a comma. If that didn't happen she could always just close down early.
Alexis was getting ready to walk into the back to get the closed sign when the little bell above the door chimed, anouncing some one's arrival to the more then empty room.
"Alexis?" Cali stood in the door looking around her sunglasses stiull down to cover her over sensitive eyes from the light. "No luck with customers today I see?"
Sighing loudly Alexis walked back to the little serving bar and stood behind the register. "Nope not really, not today." Alexis left he stand and leaned down to the minin fridge eblow the counter. She knew Cali would want a soda. That was one of the girl's favorite drinks. She didn't even have to ask any more. "here." she slid it down to the end of the serving bar Cali was standing at.
"Thanks." Cali took a seat and poped the drink open to take a sip.
Alexis hadn't told any one yet. But she was running out of money to run the place. So if she didn't get customers soon. She was going to have to shut down. "Cali, I was hoping I would get to tell every one at once, but since you guys never seem to be here at the same time, If I can't make any more then I have been latly, I'm going to have to close Brewed Awakenings."
The news hit Cali like a hammer. "WHAT!?" Sure she had known the little cafe was struggling, but she hadn't relized that it was that bad.

Aiden Araballo (23)
Occupation: Public Relations Manager
Appearance: A tall, blonde and handsome young man. Aiden has bright green eyes and a charming smile to assist him in his career. And since we've last seen Aiden in a coffee shop, he's had a haircut, tanned a bit and only grown to appear more mature.
Bio: Since Aiden's last coffeeshop addiction he's become single and finished college to start a career with a popular music company in Public Relations and already rocketed to a stable position as manger. Although his favorite part of it all is to be in the field rubbing elbows with the top dogs and having everything his way.
Tidbits: Aiden spends a lot of free time at the new coffee shop for two reasons: one is his addiction to coffee, the other, free wifi.
Akira Araballo (17)
Occupation: High School Senior
Appearance: Since Akira's last visit to a coffee shop, his hair has grown out all the way and went from it's fake fire-truck red color to it's natural coal black color. His eyes are still a remarkably bright green color and he still doesn't smile much, but he's at least gotten a bit taller and filled out a little more.
Bio: As Aiden's little brother Akira's always felt like he didn't want to appear related to him, as they are but half-brothers anyhow, but he's lightened up a bit on the angry face. His high school career has changed a bit in that he has a significantly larger number of friends now and his mother is in a relationship with a man who isn't a jerk. Life's pretty sweet.
Tidbits: Akira isn't as much of a regular as his older brother but he's around for the iced coffee everyday before school and sometimes after for a hangout.
Arthur Araballo (44)
Occupation: Police Captain of the Patrol Division
Appearance: Arthur Araballo is a man who is not only good loking for his age but for any. Despite his forty pplus years he hasn't a gray hair on his head of short blonde hair. His face shows no signs of being any older than thirty and often when with his oldest son Aiden, they're mistaken for brothers.
Bio: Thought raising two boys is a challenge, Arthur has managed to raise them despite their differences and how often the fight. His current relationship status is dating though he has been in and out of two marriages each resulting in one son. His girlfriend, unfortunately for his sons, is not only much younger than him and good looking, she's dumb as a doorknob.
Tidbits: Arthur often stops by the coffee shop for a cup of java in the morning, and of course when there's trouble.
Madeline Schoomaker (25)
Occupation: Being Arthur's Young and Good-Looking Girlfriend Manager at Hollister
Appearance: Young, Blonde and always happy, Madeline looks like she should be modeling the clothes she sells. A happy blue-eyed girl with sizes she wouldn't be afraid to share. She has an even tan from a lot of time at the beach or pool with friends, and naturally with hair as nice as hers it is always loose and falls over her shoulders in soft waves.
Bio: Although her post-high school life didn't start in an ideal way, Madeline got a simple and easy job at a local mall doing what she loves. And although she's not the sharpest tool in the shed, Madeline was lucky enough to find Arthur who doesn't seem to care.
Tidbits: Madeline likes the long and complicated orders in coffee shops and on her time off she loves to come visit Alexis, the owner of the shop.

A very stressed looking Aiden Araballo happened to be passing through the street when he decided to stop in for a cup of coffee. That day, despite being a saturday, he was working and therefore was dressed for work in black slacks, a collard white shirt and a tie, not usual Aiden apparel.
He walked through the door smiling inwardly as he heard the familiar chime above the door.
"Hello ladies," he took a seat at the counter, "how's life? Oh and if wouldn't trouble you Alexis dear, could I get the usual? I'm already tired."
Akira sat in sixth period bored as usual. Once notes were through he usually had nothing to do. Having no friends in his Anatomy class, he had no one to talk to, not like he would converse with these people anyhow, they sort of scared him. They were like Madeline, only worse.
The worst part was that one of the girls liked to stare at him. He should have never agreed to let Madeline take him back to school shopping. Sure she had agreed nothing from those stores. [I think we all know what those stores are]. However, it had for some reason given people the okay to stare, but not in a bad way. Well, it was bad to Akira.
He glanced up at the clock, "God, be over, school, be oveeeeer!" He grumbled knowing he still had a good half hour left, and now the teacher had given eeveryone permission to roam freely about the classroom. Oh boy.

Alexis smiled and turned around to get the coffee drink he seemed to favor over any other coffe drink she served. "You know it's not a problem Aiden. But don't you look a little dressed up?"
She talked before she turned the blender on and began working on blending the vanilla, coffee, and ice together.
Cali took another sip of her drink. "So hey, I don't get it Alexis, this place can't be doing too bad for you to have to go and do that."
The noise the blender was making was loud but she had tunred it off when Cali started to talk. "Well I can't keep pulling money out of my savings, I don't got much more, and I need that for my school money, I'm going to have to go back." Alexis poured the drink into a coffee cup and added whiped cream and chocolet sause ontop. Then to top it off a straw so he could slerp it down.
"Here you go Aiden, hope your day wasn't too bad." She smiled and returned to standing behind the redgester. She tryed to talk to every one that used to come into the shop. Not just because she was being a good host, but because she was nice and liked to talk.
Cali shook her head. "I really don't get it."

Aiden thanked the woman behind the counter and replied with a sigh, "Work, as always, celebrities are like children, you work your a** off for them to have a good life and a career and they repay you by gatting wasted and screaming at you when you try to tell them what to do." He switched topics quickly, "but what's this about? This place doing bad? How so?"

Alexis gave a rather troubled look. "well it's not that we are doing bad, just not good, not enought customers are coming in to make it worth staying open." She let out a sigh and begane cleaning up the blender and the counter. "I'm not making enough to stay open any more."
Cali stood and began walking back and forth around the little counter. "I can't see why you are being so calm about this, your shop is about to have to close and your talking like it is not a big deal!"
"Cali really, it isn't, other shops have had to close down, it wouldn't just be me." she didn't mention that she only had enought money left to stay open for about another four months. ~ ~ ~ ~
Name: Haldis Yegers (17)
Occupation: High school student
Appearance: A curly thick mass of bloond hair sit on her head and wineds down to her shoulders. Blue eyes framed by glasses. A nice figure she likes to hide under a large sweater and baggy jeans.
Bio: Haldis was raised in your average house hold a mom and a dad, witha older brother. SHe is working part time at a art shop down the street from the school.
Tidbit: Haldis is a norse name meaning weapon of the goddess
Haldis had been sitting rather bored the entire class. Every one in the class seemed to be a prep, or just some one she really didn't want to talk to. But there was one guy that seemed to be like her Akira.
Knowing he would come to her, she walked over to him and sat down in the little seat next to him. "do you mind if I sit with you, you scare the preps off." She gave a shy smile then droped her head to look at her lap.

Aiden smiled, "That's perfect! Babe, you're talking to a Public Relations Major." He leaned forward over the counter and took up a napkin, then pulled out a pencil and began doodling plans, "I say an event, like a big one, I have all kinds of connections, you know? But there's other things too! All kinds of promotions and even greater ideas!" He didn't look up once, "Dad's a cop, so he can bring those guys in, and I'm sure that I can talk to my mom too!"
Uh-oh. She had gotten Aiden going.

Akira rolled his eyes when the girl sat beside him, "The world can't be classified into your two little groups of 'prep' and 'not prep'." By this time Akira had pulled out a thick but small book and was reading from the page he had dogeared. The book was titled Atlas Shrugged and he seemed a lot more interested in the book than the girl.

Cali ran over and began watching as Aiden worked. "I knew I always liked you for a reason."
A thin line of hope began running through Alexis. Untill she thought about how much this could cost her. "I'm sorry Aiden, but I don't have any moeny to give you for doing any of this." The blender was clean and so was the counter so she walked over and looked at what he was doodling.

Haldis looked at Akira in a strange manor "Well I know that, but come on more then half this class wearis Hollister, and is a cheerleader/jock. And you know most of these girls are too stupid to remember the stuff for the test, so they are probably giving blow jobs to the teach just to keep a good grade."

"Oh I work for free darling, unfortunately though, my clients won't -BUT! THat is where we start the fundraising, I got a fun project for all of us, and I'll bet the result can not only save the store but keep it out of the red for years to come!" Aiden was as enthusiastic as ever but he kept his head down doodling something onto the napkin as he had done for years, "besides its not like I have anything more important to do with my free time, why not help out a good friend?"
He finally held up his finished project, "Ba-bam!" the result was the napkin looking like the outline to what would be a poster for a benefit concert to save the coffee. "If we sell the tickets this far in advance, we can pay off what it will cost for a performer and any other costs of the show! And if that's not enough we can charge local bands for a spot to perform that night, hell, we can make it a week-end long event! It would be the most badass thing ever!"

Akira scoffed, "I know someone like that, only it's probably to get out of parking tickets." his eyes never navigated away from the page, "all I'm saying is just because people dress the way they do doesn't make them into something, not a prep or a jock or a whore even, but if they're idiots, that's something completely different."

Alexis shook her head. "Its sounds great, but if it dosen;t work then I can't pay any of what this is gonna coast, an where would we do this, the shop is a little small."
A little dishearted with it all Alexis walked awy to get herself a cup of water. Sure what Aiden was showing off sounded great. But if it didn't work she'd be stuck paying a bill that would suck her funds dry.
Cali sighed as she watched, trought the twilight light of her sunglasses, her frined walk away. "Aw come on if you take such a negative attitude it wont work, cheer up," Cali tossed a arm around Aiden's shoulders "This guy is great and he knows what he's doing." she looked down at Aiden "I love the idea we are all just going to have to work to make this thing happen."

"I don't know how you can talk and read at the same time." Haldis gave up trying to make her point. It didn't seem what she saw was what he saw. So there was no point really. "What did you get on the test he handed back?"

"Don't worry about a silly thing like that! This will totally work!" Aiden whipped out his cell phone and wiped the screen clean with his sleeve, "A buddy of mine is dating the lead singer of that really popular new band, oh what's the name, Greeks Bearing Gifts, maybe you've heard of them?"
He waved his hand dismissively, "doesn't matter, more than half the city has, and I'm sure if I sell my soul I can have them headlining here whenever we need them."

"I don't see how that's any of your business." Akira wasn't a good flirt, and he never tried to be, with no exceptions at this moment. He turned back to reading his book, "I would prefer it if I could read instead of talking, as that was my intention when I took a seat here at the beginning of the school year."

Once again a wave of unease washed into Alexis "Aiden, come on don't do this I don't want you to have to owe soem one because of me!" she was practicaly begging. It's not that she didn't want to save the shop. For she did. She just didn't want to have friends working and owing other people because of her. The idea of it made her sick.~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Taking on the offensiv look Haldis shot back "Since you me and one other kid are the only ones with an A in this class I figured you would have done well on the test, I was mearly asking if I could look over yours to see if you missed the same questions as me, and If not I could go over yours to see where I went wrong." She sighed having vented her moment of anger.

"Oh please, this place going down is just as bad for me as it is you, you think I have the money to go to Starbucks every morning and afternoon?" Aiden sighed, "selling my soul for the best java in town is a side effect of being addicted to coffee." While he was speaking, Aiden had been dialing a familiar number and now that he was done, held it up to his ear and excused himself with a single finger as he turned to the ringing sound in his ear.
"Chelli, ba-by!" Aiden turned on his charm for the phone, "Need a little little little huge favor, meet me for lunch? 8 o'clock? Lunch? Okay dinner, whatever you want baby." He paused for a second, listening then smiled brightly, "It's an adorable little cafe called Brewed Awakenings, downtown by the university, that sound alright?" He looked over to Alexis and winked with a smile, "perfect, I'll see you then, lady. Ciao, amico!" He closed the phone, still smiling with pride and approached the ladies again, "Madame, un réservation pour deux, s'il vous plaît. And I can get our girl."

"Knock yourself out," Akira tossed over the test paper, in what would have been an average reply, but he Akira'd it out by adding "please."
He returned to looking into his book intently and losing himself once more in the scene of the murderess's everyday life.

Cali ws bouncing with excitment "I don't know what you just said but it sounds good to me!"
With a roll of her eyes Alexis did a small trasilation. "I think he said some thing about one resurvation. Aiden really you don't have to do this." She liked the help, just as much as she liked Aiden.
Cali could tell all this was stressing her friend out. "Ok so you serve dinner to Aiden and his friend tonight and then how bout take a break for a day after that?"
A break, what Alexis wouldn't give to take a day off. "I can't."
Cali jumped back in "Yes you can you own this place, take one day off, go out with a boy friend or some thing, get your nails done get a message, just do some thing to relase your stress."
All of that really did sound good. "First of all, I have no boy friend, school and the shop don't allow time for one, two the nails and message would coast too much for me to do right now. And last, I as not stressed out!"
"come on you have to have some hobby you could do for a day, and don't worry, if your a nyfo, I won't tell." Cali winked with a huge grin plastered across her face.

Haldis took the paper and layed it out next to hers. She had missed a few he had not. Just as she had thought. And much like him, she thouhgt of nothing else as she worked out how she had missed the problems.

Aiden flipped his wrist over to look at the watch face on the underside, "Alright," he muttered, ignoring the girls' conversation, "it's my dad's break time, he should be here soon, I'll talk to him about getting a permit from the city to hold the show." Aiden stopped talking as his phone rang again.
"What's up?" He had barely had the phone open as he answered it, "I'm sorry but yes, that is a big deal, fix it." He covered the bottom of the phone with his hand and excused him self from the shop with a wink, "Business call."
Aiden exited in time to see Arthur coming in and give him a half smile in the middle of yelling into his cell phone.
Arthur rolled his eyes at his son's antics, "Shoulda just been a ******** doctor."
"Hey Alexis," Once inside, the officer took a seat on one of the barstools, facing outward so he could speak to the owner - who seemed a bit preoccupied, "something wrong, besides of course the fact that there's a maniac outside of the store yelling at a mobile device?"

"Akira, honey."
When Akira thought he recognized the voice, his face, even behind the book, twisted into a horrified expression. He slowly moved the book down and found himself looking up at a horror he never thought he would have to face - Madeline in his school.
"What the hell are you doing here?" He hissed keeping his head down as to try to detatch himself from the scene.
"Your teacher wasn't picking up her phone so the front desk sent me down here so I could tell you that you don't have to walk today, I'll pick you up!" Her smile was as bright as ever and, as usual, there was nothing behind it.
"Go away," Akira growled, once again attempting to hide behind his book.
Madeline stood over him, just grinning widely until Akira finally asked.
"What?!"
"You look so cute in school! Do you have a lot of friends?" She glanced over to the girl beside him, "Is she your girlfriend? Aww Akira has a girlfriend!"
"Shut up!" Akira finally stood and, after a hell of a growth spurt over the summer, was taller than the blonde before him, "Go home!"
Madeline continued to smile and shook her head, "Your school's almost over, I have to take you home!" She took an empty seat to his right and stayed seated there, trying to restick her visitor sticker to her chest - which the other boys in class found entertaining.
Akira put his head down on his desk, giving up. "******** my life."
