You can buy them from some WalMart's, um Spencer's has them, and Toys R Us.
But um, suggestion, unless you really know what you're doing. Don't buy one, please. You really need to know what you're doing with those things. If you want, you could use a pendulum instead. Which you can make yourself, and tends to be safer.

I've seen them at Toys R Us but don't get one! They can cause many problems and dark things that you may not want.

Do yourself, your friends and your family a HUGE favor--don't buy one!! Please. eek A ouija board is a device that connects to a spiritual party line and you can never be certain of who or what you will get on the other end. There are countless evil spirits out there just waiting to suck on your soul for their own pleasure and they can take any form imaginable to gain your trust so you'll let them in. Once you do, you will be under their control and this could also endanger your family and friends. Again, PLEASE don't risk it; I practiced witchcraft for years and I never knew of anyone in the witching community who had a story with a happy ending concerning a ouija board.

ouija boards can be very dangerous to use and HELLO they wouldnt sell them in a toy store for god's sake. and by the way, if you didnt know this already, using a spirit board of any kind can bring malicious entities into your house and that is considered messing with the occult which can be very dangerous. just a little bit of information for you to consider.

HELLO they sell them at Toys 'R Us, as many people in this thread have said - in fact, you can even get a fabulous pink one for $20! Makes an excellent present for sisters, nieces or daughters. But, to the OP: you could always try making your own - 28 bits of paper, with the alphabet, "Yes" and "No" written on them, and a glass tumbler, and you're set to go. It also saves you twenty bucks for you to put towards psychotherapy or exorcism, because according to most folk in this thread, ouija boards inevitably lead to HORRENDOUS DISASTER such as your home being invaded by cold spots or your headaches becoming a tad more frequent. "Caveat emptor" my right arsecheek.

And is safer. I also, said some things because of my own experience with it. It was not a good one. And I'm just telling her to be cautious. :/

My blanket statement wasn't nearly blanket enough as it is, though - I should replace "most folk in this thread" with "most folk in the occult Guilds, and many elsewhere". My ire is directed at those people who pass along second-hand anecdotes about the evils of the ouija without checking the veracity of their claims nor trying to for themselves, not those who're offering polite suggestion based on their own experiences, such as yerself.

oujia boards open doors that you dont want to open. trust me. I wanted one real bad too....i saw one in toys r us. My mother pulled me away from it and said NO, that'll bring demons into your home. I was a child...i was mad. And in my head i was like "I WANT IT AND I WANT IT NOW" a few weeks later I get the exact board for christmas from an old lady my mother used to know. I could tell my mother didnt want me touching it but I played with it. Nothing happened...my cousin has told me stories about it before...and it creeped me out. I decided I didnt want it anymore and i was getting bad vibes. My sister messed with it at night.....and after wards....strange things started happening inside my home. we got rid of it....but the things never really stopped.

It's true about the boards being sold in toy stores. ( incase you didn't believe everyone else.) I saw one in a store for board games before and thought it was odd that it was there but there are a lot of people who see oujia boards as a simple game.
Personally, I tend to stay away from them. Now, I'm not a member of the occult, as someone mentioned, but coming from a Catholic background, ouija boards are looked on with suspicion and fear. I know a priest who is like my religious Mr. Feeny (he was the pastor in my church for 8 years and then when he got transfered, it was to my aunt's parish near by) and he said that ouija boards are the best way to get yourself posessed. He was the one I mentioned in another thread that helped out with the exocsism ritual. But what I believe in isn't nessicarly what you believe in. And I'm sure ouija board warnings are alot like sex warnings. You don't always get possessed the first time you play the board and you don't always get preggers the first time you have sex. In fact, some people never get posessed or pregnant!
I've heard about doing the pendulum thing as a seance method as well as the makeshift boards and even a seance method with just a glass on a table. I wonder, if you do the oujia board that Mitsh suggested and you either need or want to destroy it when (or if) things get freaky, how would you dispose of it? A paper shredder? Fire? White out? Simply disassembling it? How would you break the gate that you opened?
Anyway, going along with my 'oujia boards are like sex' comparison; no matter what you choose to do, protect yourself.
sweatdrop I can't believe I made that comparison...excuse me while I laugh and blush at the same time...
