I downloaded a couple of hacks so that my witch Sims would seem normal, and I unzipped them (well they had been rar files) and put them in the downloads file. But for some reason my sim still says:
"*name* the infallibly good witch" and she has that hat (which I had to put on her myself - previously, she was BALD!) and robe.
However, the Pineapple I downloaded that can summon the high bad/good witch does work along with all the items/clothes/hair/eyes/makeup/etc that I've downloaded.
This is the first time I've ever installed a hack though... so I don't know.

try looking at the readme, or if there isnt one, the place you downloaded it from. there might be something you didnt do.
