Me and my dad listen to Coast to coast AM at night alot. George Noory mentioned "The Hatman" and that night shift truckers have been reporting it all across America. Well, my dad's job is a night shift trucker. (it pays good lol) I usually go with him on friday nights.
We were driving on US route 23 south in Kentucky in the middle of nowhere. The closest town was Paintsville. Then, we saw it. EXACT description as what George Noory said. It was standing on the side of the road. No house or anything in sight. It was just standing there. My dad remembered The Hatman story right that second and litterally floored it. We probably went from 50mph to 80mph in 3 seconds. It made me jump too.
Anyway, have any of you spotted the Hatman? Have you heard of him? Have you had a simmilar experiance?

Ketchup Is Not Real II I'm so confused on what that is. Mind explaining it to me? sweatdrop Well, The Hatman is always spotted standing on the side of or on the road. It looks something like a scarecrow but you can tell the difference. It's usually in the middle of nowhere. It's only spotted at night. If you go back to try and seee it again, it's gone. The whole thing started because truckers saw it and looked in their mirrors to see that it's gone. It looks pretty creepy too.

From what little reading I did on it last night, the hat man is related to the shadow people, but it's more of a watcher than anything. Apparently people have seen it sitting nearby after they're woken up during the night, just watching them.

God, I hate the Hat Man. If he is who I think you're talking about...
I have never seen him, but I am happy about that. I don't think I'd want to. He is, in fact, the inspiration for my version of the Bogeyman.
There's just something about it that gives me the creeps. Him and all shadow people. *shudders at the thought*
