[03:01] RuddyPuppie: Mercedes' limo pulled up in front of the SoS facility in a very timely fashion; actually, she was probably a bit early, but that's the way Mercedes liked things. Heels clicked importantly against the sidewalk path as she took quick and light steps towards the building, a file of information tucked under her purse. She rang the bell at the gate, speaking to some nobody on the other side. "What do you mean I have to wait for...arg," she huffed, releasing the button. Evidently the child wasn't going to be released to her until the guardian of the twin was here as well. Fine...then she would just have to wait. But oh, Mercedes *hated* waiting...and tapped her foot impatiently against the ground as she pondered the visual outer layout of the facility. Didn't look that big to her...-- [03:22] AssimilatedUnaru: It wasn't until a few minutes after the designated time that the second twins guardian rolled down the facilities road. The blue second hand cedan crept its way through the culvisak outside of the gate. Dominic was surprised to see a limo parked in front of the gate as he put his car into park and stepped out.
Dane had been convinced to tag along for this event. Dominic thought it was important for him to be there when he met his new little brother yada yada yada. The chubby preteen stepped out of the passengers side door and looked up at the facility with an indifferent glance.
The couple of them walked up the sidewalk toward the gate Dominic had his arm around his sons shoulder as Dane rolled his eyes and wondered when this stupid 'pick up' would be over.
The human seemed to be excited himself about meeting his new son. The thought of another child stirred a lot of emotions up in the man but he was definitely anxious.
"Good afternoon miss," Dominic said with a smile and a nod of his head to the woman standing in front of the gate, "Intercom broken?" He asked going to reach for the button himself. [03:53] RuddyPuppie: Mercedes dipped her head to peer at the man over her black sunglasses before looking at the child with him and doing a double take. What in God's name was that supposed to be? She'd never seen a creature like that before in her life. Strange...*strange* thing. Raising her glasses back onto her nose as he reached for the button, she scoffed lightly at his words. "No, actually, I'm waiting for someone to get here in order for them to let me in. Would you happen to be the other parent chosen for the twins?" She looked at her watch, gold and glinting expensively in the sun. She bit her tongue, wanting to remark about the man's tardiness...bad form, she thought. Honestly, she second thought her attitude at the moment entirely...and like flipping a switch, her demeanor changed. "I'm sorry," she said, offering him a smile as she took off her glasses. "Just...a little anxious, I suppose." She tucked the glasses into her purse, extending her hand towards the father. "I'm Mercedes. Mercedes Fauve. Pleasure to meet you, Mr...?"-- [04:01] AssimilatedUnaru: The man laughed lightly, "Understandable, I was horribly anxious when I first came to get Dane, and that was almost fifteen years ago now, how time escapes you," He said smiling lazily at the woman, "Dominic, Dominic Baeker, it's nice to meet you Ms. Fauve," He said taking her hand and shaking it amiably. "And this is Dane here," He said nudging his boy.
Dane looked impatient and sour to be here. He had his arms crossed resting on his stomach as he glanced over to the woman, "Nice to meet you," He said unable to be completely rude. Though it were obvious he didn't feel much like being sociable.
"Yes, I believe I am the other guardian, assuming there aren't multiple twins going out," He said with a laugh. [04:12] RuddyPuppie: She hesitated as Dominic explained Dane had also come from the facility, but returned the hand shake. "Mr. Baeker, nice to meet you," Mercedes said as pleasantly as possible, trying to maintain the air of nervous new parent.
"I must truly be new here, then. What exactly do they do at this place? To produce such...interesting children?" Her look to Dane was complicated. She was trying to be polite, but honestly the idea of a child looking like him rather worried her. Her own wouldn't look like that, would he? She could feel her grand plans of an heir starting to unravel, and it took all her willpower to refrain from rushing off into the limo and calling this whole ordeal off. "I'm afraid I'm quite...confused."-- [04:22] AssimilatedUnaru: Dane raise an eyebrow at the woman and made a scoffing sound. He knew what she was thinking, enough people had thought it before for him to understand.
"Well, to the best of my knowledge I hear they take DNA from both angels and demons in order to create these unique new children. I'm not entirely sure why...But they brought me a son so I'm not complaining," He said readjusting his glasses. [04:40] RuddyPuppie: "Angels and demons???" Mercedes choked, nearly dropping her folder from under her arm. She hadn't been informed she was dealing with the supernatural here. Where they crazy?
She wouldn't have the moment to fully react anymore. There was a buzz and the door to the facility slid open, backwards away from them. Two techs appeared from the building entrance down the way, each one doing his or her best to carry their perspective spawn towards their new waiting families.
Julian sat quietly, but not very calmly. He didn't really like the techs as they would constantly poke and prod him with needles. His hands would be busy trying to push the tech away as he also knew he was quite capable of walking the way himself. The gray skinned child didn't really understand the need to be carried anywhere anymore.-- [04:47] AssimilatedUnaru: While Isaac was being...carried? It was difficult who was handling who considering the four amred child seemed to be crawling all over the technician. The technician was run ragged from this one, and had multiple bite marks to sport. Izzy was currently clinging to the white coats side sniffing at the lab coat as the man tried desperately to regain control of him.
Dominic covered his mouth as he tried not to laugh at the spectacle. Though he was surprised at how differently the two children looked, he supposed they were supposed to be the twins, though you really couldn't tell, "cute huh?" Dominic said on the side to Mercedes.
Dane watched the two children being brought to them. He hoped dearly that the calm one was the one that was coming home with them. He was wary enough of children as it were, he didn't need some little spaz ball running all over the place. [05:03] RuddyPuppie: "Mercedes Fauve?" said the tech carrying the pale child, who had settled suspiciously as the two techs reached the gate. Suddenly the tech let out a yelp and nearly dropped the boy...who managed to both grab the tech's jacket and balance himself with his three - yes, three - arms, landing with a gentle tap of his cloven feet on the concrete.
"Little s**t pinched me!" the tech snapped, glaring at the child who merely glared back before setting his sights on the other tech who was attempting to wrangle his brother.
"Oh Lord," Mercedes breathed. What had she gotten herself into? This child could never...should never...oh my God, there was no turning back now, was there? Dammit.
"Zac!" Julian shouted, trying to get his brother's attention and have him stop tumbling around on the meanie tech and come onto the ground with him...they were somewhere new, after all, they had to stick together.
The offended tech snuffed heavily, looking up at Mercedes. "That...is Julian. And he is yours. The facility will be in touch with various requirements like updates and classes."-- [05:11] AssimilatedUnaru: Izzy quickly peered over at Julian when he spoke up. Now the child was clinging onto one the techs legs, upside down. Releasing his grasp he tumbled to the ground giggling before getting up and going over to his brothers side, linking two of his arms with the side of Julian that also had two arms.
The tech looked down at the clipboard with a deep breath finally getting the leech off of him, "Dominic Baeker, that one's Isaac, take him, and get out," He said motioned to Izzy quickly before turning around and rushing back to the facility.
Dominic looked down at the couple of toddlers standing there. This was all much more...quick, then when he came to pick up Dane. Though he remembered how much more...co-operative Dane was.
The preteen cringed when he heard his fathers name get called for the energetic little...spidery looking boy, "I'm going back to the car..." Dane muttered and turned around to head for the cedan.

Mercedes was dumbstruck staring at Julian and while the rest of the world moved, her body was frozen - her mind, raced. She was thinking through every situation that might get her out of this. There was no way this three armed freak - dear God, did it have four eyes? IT HAD HOOVES! - was going to grown up to be the heir of her company. This is all totally wrong!
"I...I-I..." she managed to stammer, looking at the tech who had stuck with them.
He was grinning, almost wickedly, and Mercedes had the sudden thought that he would have fit in very well at her company.
"Your contracts with the company are final," he stated, answering the question she hadn't yet asked. "Any attempt to back out or return the child will result in actions taken by Seven Of Seven due to re-homing fees and the mental destruction that can be done to a child by being transferred into and out of our facility. Have a nice day."
That tech also turned, and headed back into the building.
Julian linked arms with his brother naturally, his ears twitching and turning to listen to everything the tech said before he walked off. He listened to every thing, every one, before leaning into Isaac a bit in a protective sort of way.
So these were going to be their new guardians? Parents?? Julian wasn't sure how he felt about the woman, though the man seemed nice enough. He was glad Isaac was going with him, for he could tell right now that the woman was going to be...interesting.
"That's it?" Mercedes finally choked, looking at the boy again before looking at Dominic. "Now what?"

"Now you take him home," Dominic said with a laugh. He still thought that Mercedes was just nervous about being a new mother. The man bent down to the level of the smaller twins. They sure weren't identical twins. He turned to look back up at Mercedes, "They look pretty close huh?" He said wondering how separating the two would go.
"So, you two excited to go to your new homes?" Dominic asked the boys.
Izzy watched as the man bent down and his ears perked up at the prospect of a new person. He needed to explore. Un-linking his arms with his brother the boy scampered over to Dominic and proceeded to climb onto his back.
Dominic was taken by surprised and fell forward on his knees as Izzy clambered all over him.
Finding a good place to bit on the back of the mans neck Isaac sunk his teeth into him. This was the best way he could meet a new person.
"Ouch! What the?" The man said standing up as the boy bit him and tried to pry the barnacle off of his back.

"Really? Seriously? These are the types of kids they're sticking us with? This is crazy! They're more like little monsters than children!"
Mercedes didn't know what to do; feeling her hold on the situation continuing to spiral out of control. And she certainly wasn't going to try and touch the other child...what if it bit her, too???
Julian was more on top of things. After all, he understood better than anyone that this was what Isaac did and soon he would calm down and just go digging through the man's pockets in search of interesting objects.
But Julian was somewhat tired, and hungry. He wanted to get home with these new people and eat.
"Zaaaac," the deer-like boy whined a bit, stomping an impatient foot. "Wanna go hooome! Now?" the last bit pleading with his brother to come down off the man's back.

Izzy stopped what he was doing once Julian spoke up, he looked disappointed, like a puppy that had just been reprimanded, "...Fiiiine," The boy said finally climbing back off of the man and over to his brothers side. He watched the humans carefully. He already tasted the man and began to explore him, but he wondered about the woman. Normally he'd go and see what she was like next however he stood in place fidgeting at his brothers request to go home.
"Monsters?" Dominic repeated after Izzy had finally gotten off of his back. The boy seemed like quite the...enthusiastic ball of energy, he thought rubbing his neck, "They're children...they might be different than what's thought of as normal but how can you be that shallow to call them monsters? Are short people or amputee's monsters because they look different? Look I know it's different but they're still just kids and you should really not talk like that around them, it's unsightly," He said being a little disturbed that this supposed mother-to be was so horrified at the way the children looked. This was gaia after all.

Mercedes resisted the urge to answer yes to Dominic's rhetorical question about little people and amputee's; seeing how passionate the man was about the subject, she held her tongue.
Not an easy thing for the woman to do, be assured, but right now she had lost too much of her grip on the situation to feel like herself, really.
"This just isn't natural," was the best explanation she could come up with.
Looking again at the boy's, she wondered if she could convince this seasoned monster handler to take them both home. After all, they were brothers...and they appeared to be very close. How were things going to go if they separated them? Hell, why hadn't this facility sent them both to the same home; wasn't it damaging to place siblings in different houses?
Jules top left hand patted his brother's shoulder reassuringly as he fidgeted. "It's ok, Zac. Play later," he said with a nod. "Can we eat?" he'd say suddenly, looking at Mercedes with an expecting sort of stare.
Man, he was creepy.
"Oh God," Mercedes muttered under her breath, looking to Dominic. "They're not...cannibals, or anything are they? What do they eat?"
