I've been following AyesDyef's work recently, (for those who don't know, he's the guy that made the Super Smash Bros. 64 intro video), and he's been making a female scout model replacement.

After chatting to him through Steam, he let me try out his beta work so far, so I decided to make a video to show his work.

Remember that it's still in beta, there are a lot of issues that are to be fixed.

Other than that, it's actually looking pretty impressive so far, it blends with the TF2 characters quite well.

Other than fan art, I've yet to see a female version that isn't sexist. Could someone please tell me the tactical advantage of skirts and being topless? All these things do is further ruin the way females are seen in gaming.

Okay buddy, I don't know what you meant by that and to tell the truth I don't want to. But I'll tell you what I did understand, that was kinda the wrong thing to say.

And Consensual, its a skin, and a joke. By someone who believes the female version of the scout should have a bit of humor. There are more guys in the gaming biz than women, and if it continues in such a way, the men are going to continue to make the such because that is what they are into. You can't change people. And makes you know better if you change them against their will when they were never doing anything wrong, then your in the wrong. Men make games for everyone, but enjoy making games for other men.

We could apply the same logic to other situations, not many but we can. Watchmen for example. Why would a glowing radioactive naked man with the power to do the impossible have several scenes of his radioactive schlong flapping in the wind. To appeal to women. Why would Edward, a vampire from Twilight, not disintegrate in the sun but rather sparkle. To appeal to the screeching women. Why would they show a scene of Wolverine prancing around naked, vaulting over fences, and hiding in barnyards, how is that anywhere near significant to the story, its not. Its for humor and sexual appeal. What does this do to the common man, well, you could argue that it makes girls have higher expectations upon man, if you don't have a remarkable body, a cunning tongue, and a model face, they can't get near you. And why are there so many movies based on unbelievably hot men because they are chosen by women.

1. I didn't say that Mr Manhattan shouldn't be naked. But why have so many scenes of his thingy. You could argue that it was shown to gain female acclaim.

2. They aren't my opinions dude, neither are they facts, I said they can be arguable. Meaning, that there IS evidence that can be debated that it was solely add for women. I can even argue that the whole movie was aimed at female geeks based upon there were more penises in that movie than breasts.

You know, that's a rather well done skin.. Though the panty shots weren't necessary. I think it fits in the best with TF2 out of the female Scouts I've seen so far. Great link!

That's pretty good. I prefer them to be how they were originally supposed to be, though. And I'm not saying that because I think they're hot or anything, it's just how it was intended to be. That's a really good mod, though. Just fix the eyes and it would be great. biggrin
