Congratulations! The awesomely cool novel that you have been working on for SuWriMo has become so popular that its going to be made into a movie! And the best part is, you get to do the casting! Post who you would cast in a movie adaptation for your novel. Pictures are welcome as well as a brief explanation as to why.

Congratulations and welcome to show biz.

For my main character I would choose Rebecca Romijn to cast as my MC, Freya. She not only a great actress but I think she can accurately portray my character. Not to mention she came to mind when I was thinking of the character, same height and build.

Well, David Hasselhoff has not aged gracefully so I would have to pick another Michael Knight. Maybe Johnny Depp? Eh, who knows. As for Fierce Deity Link, I don't know of anyone tall enough. But Orlando Bloom does make a lovely elven-type character. K.I.T.T would have to be the guy who did the 80's voice if he's still available. Majora would have his face covered, but I think Sean Connery would be sweet. Oh yeah, forgot a couple. Since I heard Edward Mulhare is no longer with us, Devon would probably be either Sean Connery (If he's not Majora) or Michael Caine. For Bonnie... hmmm.... Sandra Bullock maybe?

Gosh, well I'd say Kirsten Dunst for my main female, Jenna. She's really adorable and not shy. I have no idea who could play Todd, my main male.

Hugh Laurie would make a good Kerill. Dakota Fanning with red hair is perfect for Nyl. Dunno any good male child actors, so meh. Amisha Patel as Leila would be good enough.

Edit: I take that back. I discovered Kim Kardashian today. Leila is almost her >_>

wow this thread is perfect for me. Here it goes:

User Image
Iris
User Image
Lillie.

Ok for the main twins of this story, Anna Paquin is all up on it. Though Iris has blue eyes and Lillie green, this doesn't affect my image of them. Anna has this wonderful sense of playing outspoken characters and timid characters, which allows me to invision Iris and Lillie.

User Image
Sir Wrider.
Rupert's red hair, ever changing colored eyes, and cuddly-hard a** charm is perfect for my cocky, passion driven character.

User Image
Princess Lyress

Not only does she look like she dropped from heaven, but Scarlett has that heir about her that sparks social revolution. Lyress is one of the most beautiful of the world, a real Helen of Troy. Scarlett is just perfect for her.

User Image
Anar

Ever beautiful, ever adorable, William is perfect for the churlish Anar. With his baby faced looks and all around good nature, I chose William for Anar because only he could pull off taking advantage of his own illness and still have everyone adore him.

Hmm...

I haven't given it a lot of thought, but my main character, Greg Stuart, has to be a blond Scot - Ewan McGregor would be perfect.

For Maria Perez, I am not sure. Megan Fox from Transformers looks right, though she is younger than I thought. Does she look old enough to have a PhD?

With a bit of makeup, anything is possible. xd

Kristen What'-her-face. The Twilight girl. She'd totally play Danny. She just looks like how I picture Danny in my head, which is weird because that never happens. >.>

On the other hand, what with her reputation as a vampire lover, she kind of seems like she'd be a terrible candidate for a fairy hunter. Then again, it just wouldn't be a book-turned-movie if I didn't hate every aspect of it, so that's cool.

Sky would be played by the chick who played Tess on Supernatural or Adrienne Palicki, because their concerned faces and 'haha, I win' faces are perfect. Nevermind that Palicki's blond and Tess has short hair. >.> (They're also a bit older than I'm aiming for, but that didn't stop whoever cast Harry Dresden. Clearly I have deep-rooted books-turned-movie issues.)

No pictures for them because I cannot find a satisfactory picture of reasonable size. D:

yeah Kristen is my Camilla, a shy awkward sister of my MC. She does from ugly duckling to flightbound dove. She has that awkward pretty that works for my character, plus she has such sultry eyes that it makes a lot of guys crazy, which is why this lowly peasnat girl snags the most sought after nobleman in the country. Lucky tart. wink

I have no idea if there's anyone currently in the industry who could play my MC. He needs the following qualities:

Curly, dark hair
An English accent (or the ability to fake one)
The ability to (semi-convincingly) play a character from the ages of 13 to 18 in the same movie
English (or semi-English) features

...And then I saw some photos of Anton Yelchin. If anyone could pull it off, I think he could. (Since he is rapidly getting too old, though, I'll keep looking.)

James Franco as Elthan, a dauntless knight. He's a biiiiit on the too-pretty side for Elthan, but with some scruff and a scar or two, I think he'd be just fine. Orrrr Milo Ventimiglia -- the asymmetry of his features is perfect for Elthan.

Carla Gugino as Mehera, an overly-trusting, struggling queen.

Alan Rickman as Denarin, a polished, seemingly aloof diplomat. Alan is probably too old for the role, as Denarin is in his forties, but it could work.

Emily Blunt as Adela, a newly-crowned queen who is known to act rashly to keep up appearances.

Honestly though, I think I'd prefer to have relative unknowns. I don't want people looking at one of my characters and thinking, "Look, it's Snape!"

Hmmm, this is definately an interesting question. I have never given this much thought before now. I think I might like Emily Browning to play my lead, Rae. However somebody more french might suit the character more. Perhaps Audrey Tautou, though she has the possibility of being too old now.

crying I would never be able to tell you because I've never kept up with actors, especially. I used to think Robert Redford would be great for about any role, but he's a bit aged.

Oooh, I love doing this. Let's see.

  1. Moses: John Barrowman. I don't have to think twice about that one.
  2. Isra: I'm thinking Hanan Turk, but I need to know if she can speak English. xDD
  3. Astrid: Either Uma Thurman, Michelle Pfieffer, or Natalie Portman, but of them Uma's my favorite.
  4. Ari: Probably Shia LaBeouf. I can forgive him for Transformers. XD
  5. Glockner: I hope I can trust Hayden Christensen with this villain. XD
  6. Talia: Evan Rachel Wood. That one's also 100% certain.

Those are the only ones I can think of right now, though.
