ok im at like native tribe or whatever place and cant get to the mine where the hell do i go?

You have to use a chocobo to get there. There are two spots on the map where you can do it. While riding a chocobo, go to the spot on the map before the forest where the viera live. There is a grass thicket that the chocobo can go through to get to the mine. I can't remember right off hand where the other one is but it is in the southern part of the area you are in leaving the village. Hope this helps.

and easy way to get loot is to just go to the area with all the horses and avoid the snakes. you can get some good stuff by attacking the horses.
