Haikus
Medieval Victim
Where was He when they
Put me on the table and
Flailed my body dead?
Three Bodies
One body, one soul
Linked by a mind filled with lies
Will turn on itself
Zombification
Going comatose
Vicious anger swims within
Viral infection
Tonkas
End of Days
Laughter consuming
My senses, a perversion
Of the hell I see
Man killing man killing man
I’ll watch it end with a bang
Cheeseburger
A God beyond Gods
Grease providing protection
From the love of those
Undeserving and worthless
Its cheese tells me what to do
The Rainmen
The flood reminds us
Of what it means to cross them
The hooded ones with
Fearful resolve to destroy
As they whisper “Just let it rain.”
Acrostics
Entering a new form of a
Very hollow existence, the bringing
Of a god lost to mankind
Lucid worshipping of him
Ultimately will give us a
Transformation akin to that of
Itself, as a notion of its kindness
Only that transformation killed mankind
No knowledge for what it brought to us
Years seem to pass
Every second, an eternity
Spent in severe agony
Tortures of so called medication
Eating away at whatever mentality remains
Retarding any attempt of recollection
Destroying the true me
And sending me a step towards hell
You never see what goes on here everyday
The following poem was created during a separate poem project for my 8th grade year. I was asked to write a poem that described my anticipations for High School. As you can see, they weren't very bright. And there were an a** ton of metaphors in there. Funnily enough, not one of the teachers or kids understood its meaning.
City of Ashes
We wandered for days, her and I
Along the abandoned roads in the suburbs
Of that final town before the cabin in Harmony
And we have finally came to the metropolis
The city of Ashes
I looked to my companion
She replied with only a shrug
We looked behind us
The buildings were worn down, but some were nice
The suburbs of Ashes
The two of us continued on
Very aware of cruel red eyes
Both child and adult sneered at us
And it was ruled by arson
The city of Ashes
Compared to this darkened town
Where we had travelled from
Seemed like a place of friendship
And an icon of a true heart
The town of Broken Dreams
Lightning lit the world
There was still a ways to go
My only follower could become lost
We shall not part while we're here
The city of Ashes
A man came up to us
Offering a chance to join him
We declined, and he drew a knife
My companion gave her life to save mine
The city of Blood
There was no end to it
Violence, rape, fire
The crimes were unbelieveable
A teddy lay ripped on one road
The city of Ashes
Farewell, my home, my friends
No longer will you see me
The pain in this town is now unbearable
I will join the derelicts
And never leave
The city of Ashes
And, one of my favorites. This Sestina turned out very well, actually, for being TOTALLY last minute.
Legacy
His mind wracked with pain
As he recalled a legend
Destined to change mankind
By pact with a devil
As the men in white
Administered his medication
As he fell through the effects of the medication
His body began to convulse with a terrible pain
And hate turned to a haze of white
Becoming just a prophecy in a legend
Coming closer to an angry devil
With a want to burn mankind
And then through bound hatred in mankind
Disappointing the effects of the medication
And the smile of the glory of the devil
Annihilated any trace of his pain
And pulsed power through his body like heroes of legend
Destroying the would-be shackles of the men in white
Weather systems fail, the sun turning to crystal white
Freezing the deathly sins in mankind
Like they used to say in the legends
There was no weapon to defeat him, no medication
To calm, to soothe, to dissolve the pain
That was like lightning through possessed soul, the infamous devil
Skin turned to gold to emphasize the embodiment of the devil
Blackening and turning to carapace his armor of leather white
Unbinding straps and constricting orderlies in a wave of pain
As he screamed in agony a message to mankind
«Nothing will stem the tide of Hell's medication
Man is doomed to be naught but legend!»
And man listened, and so did they become a legend
A legend buried with the proclamation of the wretched devil
Buried by hordes of what was known as Hell's medication
And dirtying the mounds of crystal snow so white
Which would become the only trace of former mankind
Wracked with which only the brave to penetrate such pain
So it was that the medication from the men in white
Brought about the legend of the wrath of the devil
Who haunts former mankind with memories of an excrutiating pain
