The small brown and white lion bounded over the the sinking sand. He was happy - the day looked like it would be a great one. A great day to play. Now all he had to do was find his siblings.
Wingu stepped over some twigs and fallen branches. He weaved around some of the trees. "Mrr..." He pondered, looking around with his pink eyes. "Where are yoooou?" He pondered aloud, letting his voice echo.

'Where are yooooooou?' The haunting voice drifting through the though the trees made Kanoni abandon her mouse and lift her head and ears. She wasn't a nervous lion by nature, not at all.
Still voices from nowhere could make any cub nervous. "Hello?" She called back moving in a direction. Her voice failed to make the same sound and she growled. "HELLOOOO!" She yelled louder this time pleased with the resounding noise through the trees.
She'd wandered off on her own again. She had been following her oldest brother but that was boring. He hated going to the river. Which they were banned from but that made it all the more fun. "WIIIINGU? Is that yooooou?"

The small lion perked up when he heard a voice answer back, and decided to try and follow it forward - but alas, the voice eched all around, so he just kept forward. Ah, his name! He pondered which of his sisters it was, for it sounded like one of his sisters.
It had to be Kanoni. "YEES~ Wheerrree arre yooou?" he took a few steps forward, ears perked - this could be a game! He was already have fun anyhow.

A giggle echoed through the trees as Kanoni tempted forward ever curious. Good! So it was Wingu! She just had to beat him to her before he got to her.
Well it made sense in her head anyway. "Come find me, Wingu~!" Her sly voice responded as she laughed. Competitive she started toward where her brother's voice seemed loudest.

"I'll get you first!" He called back, moving forward and stepping over some leaves and climbing over a fallen tree in his path. Oh yes, he'd find her first, though it made no sense in a way, if they were finding each other, but that didn't matter.
Once over the tree, he bounded forward and looked about for his sister.

"Will not!" She challenged back and picked up her sped. She ducked thorugh the trees and splashed in a few puddles as she made her way to her brother.
"WINGU!" She called as she scrambled over the swamp floor. She'd caught sight of a flash of white. That had to be him! She darted forward, charging him with her head down in an attempt to tackle him.

OInce his laughing died down he grinned. "Tag, you're it," he told her, tapping her and dashing off again.

Landing on top of her brother, Kanoni grinned widely. She took up his tail tuff, tugging on it lightly. "Told you I would!" She said triumphantly.
Lifting her ears she watched him disappear, taking a moment to realize what he said. "OH!" With that she was off, chasing after the male with a flourish. "I'm gonna get you!"

Wingu's laughter echoed through the trees and he ran, though his limbs were still tired with the minimal rest. He took a deep breath as he shimmied under a fallen branch and turning the corner.
Suddenly, he hid behind the trunk of a large tree, pink eyes glancing back and forth to find the evidence of his sister, hoping only a little that she wouldn't see him, but thrilled with the run.
He wanted to have a turn at chasing, but she would have to catch him first!

Kanoni darted through the trees and the mud after her brother with a flourish. This was their terrain. She bolted passed him and within a few minutes backtracked. She'd heard a branch snap but that turned out to be a rabbit.
She wasn't deterred though. She crept along listening, ears erect. "Winguuu? Whe'r you?"

The brown cub peered through the trees at his sister. He watched her call for him for a moment, trying to hold back a giggle. He fooled her! His attempted failed and he let out a short laugh before covering his mouth with his paw, he squeaked too before he could stop himself again. Suddenly, he laughed at himself and began to move again. She would never find him, surely!
He was just great at hiding like that. He pushed into the thickened area of trees and brush. A good hiding spot indeed. He would move as far away from his sister as he could.
That, of course, was when everything went sour. The young cub had gotten hopelessly lost in his attempt to hide himself that he had, in turn, become hopelessly lost. Frightened, he cried out loud, but no one would hear...
