Self roleplay between Mahaskah and Suijin
Cloud watching had a lot more to it than people often gave it credit for, there was A LOT more to it.
Mahaskah would know for a fact, after all that’s what he spent most of his days doing. Everything else was just too…well troublesome really. Everything just required too much energy for the blue juvenile to even attempt. And he knew the exact amount of energy each task would require of him and really, mathematically speaking, it was too much.
It just wasn’t worth it.
Besides he had a lot on his mind to think about. Things he couldn’t very well think about or concentrate on when he was being hassled by his family or being forced to play games. Of course he could always ponder it before bed, but bed was the time to sleep and he wasn’t quite ready to deprive himself of that guilty pleasure.
He had been having the most interesting of dreams recently and they left him wondering. Which he supposed was normal for not so normal dreams.
His most recent one involved a male of primarily two colors and slight variations of one. He had a pale face and carried himself almost like royalty. Even in the dream he could tell that the male had an air of ‘I’m better than you’ to him.
And when they came close together Maha could understand why.
Maha wasn’t one who ever felt inferior to anyone for any reason. He knew he was a genius, he just preferred to be a lazy genius. But standing in the male’s shadow, he felt as if anything he said could be turned against him with the simplest expression.
It baffled him.
Then a shadow covered him and he blinked. What was going on? It was just like…
“My, my, what do we have here?”
Mahaskah could feel his heart pounding in his chest as his muscles froze, green eyes hesitantly looking up at the…
“No!” He screamed hurrying to get on his feet, for perhaps the first time ever. “It can’t be…” He mumbled shaking his head.
It was the male from his dream! That pale face, it was unforgettable. But…how?
“Is there a problem?” The large male asked a smirk decorating his lips as he peered down at the small blue boy before him. He had just been walking along, with nothing to do, without any really desire to speak with anyone. For perhaps the first time ever, at least not females.
But when he spotted a blue form in the distance, well he couldn’t help but be interested. He needed to do some, err, recruiting after all. He couldn’t have a pride completely related to him. That would simply spell disaster for everything he was working so hard to reconstruct.
Yes, he enjoyed playing with other’s emotions, toying with them, pushing them until they broke but now he had an actual purpose.
“It’s about time you got here.” The juvenile stated almost smugly as a smirk broke out across his own face. He had dreamt of the meeting, and this wasn’t the first time he had seen the male in his dreams. So he could only assume one thing, he was one of the seers he heard so many talking about. “I wondered how long you would keep me waiting,” he paused wondering if the other’s name ever came up in one of his dreams.
There it was, stored somewhere in the back of his memory. “Suijin.”
“How did you know my name little one?” Suijin asked suspicion outlining his features. Had word started spreading about him? Perhaps he should start using a pseudo name. Yes that sounded like an excellent plan. He would have to pick a worthy one though. He’d need time.
“I saw you coming,” Mahaskah stated with a shrug as he sunk back into a sitting position wrapping his tail around his paws. “Well rather I saw our meeting and you giving me your name,” he explained waving a paw boredly.
“So you are a seer then boy?” Suijin asked relaxing. Perhaps he didn’t have a reason to go around under false names just yet. But then maybe he should be on the safe side anyway. “What did you see in your vision?” He couldn’t help it; his curiosity often got the better of him.
Besides, what harm could a little cub be?
“And why would you have a vision of me?”
Maha arched a brow at the sudden interest that the older lion had taken in him. All he had to do was let in on the fact that he was a seer and bang! “I saw you and I conversing,” he began speaking more like an adult than the child he really was. “You introduced yourself and said something about a pride,” he paused a smirk forming upon his lips. “You required my talents and wished for me to join.”
There were times when his ‘dreams’ were incredibly clear or incredibly fuzzy but as he began to speak about it, it all came together in his mind.
“What was your answer?” Suijin replied as if he didn’t already know. He could tell by the way the strange cub looked at him. He already knew the answer. It was yes.
“You already know.” Maha replied shaking his head and flicking his tail. “We’ll meet again, when we are older.” He stated sinking back into the grass. “We will meet again soon.”
“Will we?”
“Sooner than you may think Suijin-sama.”
“Very well,” Suijin replied with a nod. “What is your name?”
“Mahaskah.”
“I will see you soon then.” With that the male turned and left. The meeting had been short but the boy already knew everything he needed to know so he didn’t bother to linger any longer than necessary. Besides he knew he would see the boy soon enough. He would come when he was ready and he was a seer, he’d be able to find his pride. His future home.
And if not he would locate the seer girl he had used before to find him. He always got what he wanted.
Maha watched the male’s fleeting form before settling his head against his paws and closed his eyes. He thought he’d like to dream a while.
