The sounds of water were splashing heavily over the rocks, down into a small pool. The image was hazy, toned in a bluish tint, but the sheer sound of the moving water hitting the still was overpowering. So much, that the hazy site became black.

Kota focused her gaze. As she grew older, her ‘dreams’ became more of just dreams. She seemed to be getting them more often as well, which was strange. It use to be when she was near her brother that the visions arose, but now…they just came whenever. Golden-ish color eyes narrowed. Why did she have a vision of a waterfall? And not just any, this one was a rather big fall. And, the dream was in blue.

All the things left to decipher confused the adolescent seer. She knew the location of a waterfall, it wasn’t the one in her vision though. She headed there though, just to check things out.

Red, that's all he could see, the sound of water crashing down heavily on top of...more water. He shifted in his sleep. The sound was overpowering but he could hear a voice. He woke with a start his vision replaying in his head over and over again. Red...waterfall...water...red...red...red. He was confused by his recent dreams. After he had met that pale-faced male he had been without visions, except for one where he came to male's home. Then all of a sudden, reoccuringly, he dreamt of the color red and of water. And of a voice.

He couldn't understand what the voice was saying but he knew it was calling to him, urging him to come find it.

How troublesome.

But it was those dreams and that voice that had lead him to the waterfall he found himself resting by. It had pulled him away from his family, though not too far, and actually made him work to find it. It had taken him a day or two, if only because he had taken his sweet time. But it had been his most recent dream that brought him to where he now lay.

"Where are you?"

Her ears perked as she heard the sounds of another closer by as she neared the waterfall.

“Where are you?” it questioned. For a moment, the female believed the voice was just in her head, as the small visions were. However, the fact that the voice was not barely audible, and that it seemed /too/ close caused her to believe that the voice was real. She continued heading towards the falls, hearing the smaller rush of water hit the liquid below. She was close.

“Nearing the waterfall,” she replied loudly, hoping to find out the source of the unknown question.

His ears pricked at the sound of someone answering him. Calling him back. He rolled over onto his stomach, lifting his head, watching. "How close?" He called back scanning the area around him. The voice, it sounded so familiar, was it the one from his dreams? No that was ridiculous, after all those dreams, those visions could really just be dreams.

But they were so real.

And why were they red?

He shook his head, he needed to focus on what was before him, the animal he was about to meet. He needed to know if the visions were real. It wasn't a simple want, no it was a definite need. If he didn't find out he feared he would wonder forever.

The voice answered. It was very close. She moved to lie down slightly, almost in a crouch, scooting forward. It was a good thing that there were a few bushes nearby. She would be able to peek through the bushes at the voice before she would show herself. The voice didn’t sound old, but who knew, you don’t want to mess with someone who is much bigger than you. Besides, when she was little her dreams showed a large shadow-y figure. Who knew what was there.

Lucky for her, when her yellow eyes peered just through the green, she spotted the voice. Well, it wasn’t just a voice, but more-so a male. A..blue male? Probably just a coincidence. She looked around, no family was near it seemed.

“Look to your right,” Kota stated, emerging from the bushes. She was larger this male, probably because she was slightly older.

He heard her move, at least he was pretty sure it was whomever the voice belonged to. And as far as he could tell it was a female's voice, he was positive. In fact there wasn't a doubt in his mind. Not one. Then he heard her voice again, so much closer than previously. He nodded at her words and turned his head to the left and that's when he saw her.

Immediately his breath caught in his throat. No way.

She was a pretty female yes, he'd use that as his excuse for staring for so long, but more importantly she was red. The exact shade of red that tinted his dreams, that fogged them. "Dreaming of red..." He mumbled to himself shaking his head and pushing himself up.

At his stare, Kota looked away. When she looked at him again, his gaze was still on her form. What a strange male. She saw the other’s mouth move, but heard nothing come out. In her mind, the questions ran through: ‘Why is he here?’ ‘Why is a /blue/ male here?’

“Excuse me?” She asked, referring to the inaudible sentence that had been spoken.

“My name is Kota’badilifu,” she introduced herself before asking a question. “Why are you here?” Might have well get the question she was thinking about out and about.

He blinked, shaking his head. "Ah!..uh..nothing..." he replied a small blush creeping up on his features "Mahaskah," he told her with a small nod in greeting. Was she the one he had beed dreaming about? A part of him hoped that she was but at the same time he wasn't sure he wanted to know.

"Waiting," he shrugged giving her information but still holding back. "Why are you here?" He was going to try and get her to say something, give any kind of clue as to what they were both doing here. If she had been dreaming of him as he suspected he was of her.

Mahaskah? Her nose twitched. That wasn’t a familiar name. She hadn’t heard it before at least, not even in her little ‘dreams’.

“Waiting for what?” It just seemed unusual that he was here, after her latest vision had been at a waterfall incased in a blue hue. This lion was of a blue pelt? He had to be the answer. After all, it couldn’t be that much coincidental… Could it? Yellow eyes looked to the skies. How was she going to tell him why she was here? Only her father knew about her ‘visions’, because he has them too.

“I uh…was coming to get a drink.” Good lie Kota! “And then I saw you here!” She grinned. “Hence why I am here, I am talking to you now.” There, saved it.

"Someone," he replied with a shrug. He didn't know who he was waiting for, just that he was waiting for someone. He wished that his visions had been more clear, like his vision of the pale-faced stranger. With the inconsistancy of his visions he still wasn't sure of how strong a seer he was. Alas, if only he knew who his father was and how it played into him being a seer.

He caught the slight hesitation in her words but let it pass. If she wanted to lie then she could, he assumed it was a lie at least. "Well, there's your water, why don't you drink it?" He asked cocking his brow. "Someone red..." he mumbled to himself still trying to figure out exactly what was going on. Was this a coincidence? Or was it something intent. He sighed, this was getting complicated.

“Oh uh…right, water…to drink…” the female moved quickly over to the little lake, lapping up just a little bit at a time. She turned her attention back to the male. She wasn’t going to get through about asking who he was waiting for, was she? Someone could be just about anyone.

Her ears strained to hear what he said next. Something about red? “What was that?” Kota questioned. She didn’t realize he was talking to himself. She figured that there were two of them here, therefore he would be talking to her.

: His green eyes followed her as he himself found himself consumed by his thought. He didn't even realize that he was speaking alout and loud enough for her to catch some of what he was day. "What? I didn't say..." he trailed off and shook his head. "I said someone red," he admitted.

"It doesn't really mean anything," he added with a dry laugh. "I'm not sure what it means, what anything means recently." And it bothered him, he hated being unsure of anything.

She thought that was what he said. “Another coincidence, I’m sure,” she murmured to herself, taking a step towards the Mahaskah, before sitting and curling her tail around herself. “You know, one thing my father use to tell me was: ‘Things that don’t mean anything, are actually something. Things that may mean something are actually nothing.’ I’m sure whatever it means, it’ll come to you,” Kota said with a nod.

Her maw twitched. It was like this male was just like her. “I know what you mean though,” she gazed towards the sky. “It’s like having a dream that you know there is a meaning for, but you just can’t place what it exactly means. Right?”

He played her father's quote over a couple of times in his head. It made sense to him, but at the same time it made very little sense. Perhaps that was the beauty of it. "I hope so, being confused isn't something I'm very good at," he repled wrinkling his nose. "Not good at at all really," he laughed thinking about being confused, it didn't really work.

"Exactly." Maha replied rubbing his neck as he sighed. "One dream makes sense then you have a series of dreams that show nothing except a color, a voice and eventually this." He paused as he looked over at the waterfall. "But not so much really."

Nothing except….wait? “You…had a dream in color. Well…not like in color in color, but more so in a solid color?” Quietly, she added ‘like blue?’ When he motioned towards the waterfall, she moved from her seated position, backing away from the male. “A dream about a waterfall…?” She asked when he looked over his shoulder to the small roaring waters. “Just…a bigger falls?”
PostPosted: Sun Jul 05, 2009 10:36 am

"I have, a series of dreams actually," he replied blinking as she suddenly was so interested in his dreams. Ah-ha! So he was right, she had been dreaming of dreams like he had! But in a different color. At least he thought he heard her mumble a color. "A bigger falls that I've seen in dreams before, but then again it's hard to tell..." his voice trailed off. Why had it been so difficult? The haze of red had distracted him from everything, and it blanketed the scenery so it was harder to tell if it was the same as the one from his pale-face stranger dreams.

This was really weird…Was this another who had dreams like hers, like her father? Something just urged her to go on, to find out more, but in doing so might cause her to reveal her own little secret. She risked being ridiculed once, one more time wouldn’t hurt. “It’s hard to tell because the mist blocks the surrounding areas, it blocks out the sounds so on you can see just ahead,” Kota muttered. “The obstacles around it are unclear, and even that shadows of figures are hazy.”

She wanted to add another ‘right?’ but she didn’t.

He nodded, she was practically describing everything that he had seen in his dream. "You hear a voice but you can't be sure you really heard a voice at all, it's drowned out by the roar of the waterfall. And everything has a hue of red to it, it drapes everything like a blanket," he sighed. "It makes it hard to focus on anything, it feels out of place but perfect..."

“Correct, but everything isn’t draped in red. It’s draped in blue…” Hey! It was exact. Well, everything but the color thing, but that was the like the same wasn’t it. “Heh, you know,” Kota started, “it’s really strange that your dreams have been in red recently, and mine in blue.” She giggled quietly. “It’s like we were dreaming of each other this whole time.”
PostPosted: Sun Jul 05, 2009 11:11 am

"It's logical, well as far as these visions go." he concluded with a firm nod. Everything was falling into place, like the last piece of an unfinished puzzle. "I mean, what are the odds, we have practically the exact same visions with just a difference in color," he paused smirking. "A difference that reflects the color of the other."

“Now to only find out why we are having these visions in the first place. It probably means we need to go to that place, and the shadowy figure will meet us there…” Kota shrugged. “But where it is, I don’t even know where to begin…” So it was true then, he had dreams like her father and herself. Small world, at least she was getting to know not just her family at visions.

Maha sighed, that meant he needed to go out and find the pale-faced lion again. But he had already had a vision where he returned and led him to the lake and it's waterfalls. He just had to wait, which worked out for him atually. Less work. "I know where it is, I've seen the path but I've also seen and met the shadowy figure," he stated. He knew the name of the other male but even still he liked refering to him as the 'pale-faced stranger'. "He needs time, we need time. He has some things he has to...er attend to."

‘…attend to.’ Heh, it was as if the other was going to commit murder or something by the sounds of it. “Then is he the one who is instilling these visions in our heads? Is he the ones who is telling us to go where ever it is telling us to go?” She really didn’t half-expect him to answer that. It was more of a…frustration. She didn’t know what was going on, and the younger male seemed to know more about it then her.
PostPosted: Sun Jul 05, 2009 12:05 pm

He pressed his lips together and shook his head. "No, I don't think he's putting the visions in our head. I think they're a sign of what we're supposed to do, what lies ahead of us in the future," he paused chuckling softly. "Or what could be the future at least." The future was a delicate subject, always having the possibility to change with the slightest action. It was fickle.

Kota gave a small shrug as she listened. It was just an idea, of the stranger putting visions in their heads. She always wondered about the subject of predetermined destinies, if everything was planned or not. It was like the ones who were seers would be able to see their future possibility, but then there came up the subject of not knowing when or if their vision would happen. She didn’t even know if this ‘waterfall’ dream would come true. It did for Maha, but would it for her?

“Perhaps then, we’ll get more as the time draws near.” She turned towards the path she had come from. “Maybe then, we will meet each other again?”

"I would like to think so," he admitted dropping his gaze down to the grass beneath them. "I believe that we have our visions for a reason, not just some random occurance. The more of them that are similiar, perhaps the more likely they are to happen?" He shrugged, he still hadn't figured everything out yet. "To be honest, I hope that we do meet again. I think we will." But that's all it could be, thoughts
