Richter hadn't many ideas what to do with one child, but with two he was downright clueless. Well, Eiji could spend time at baby ballet classes with her aunt, but London was much too small, and so he'd taken the tiny girl to the library... and promptly lost her.
"I do not plan this," he muttered as he searched the shelves. "I only ever wanted one normal child, just one-"
Meanwhile, back in the children's section, London was happily seated on a shelf. There was a lady reading a book and she liked the way the woman's voice dipped and soared. It was sort of like music, only not with the actual music part. Lyrical, maybe.
She stood up, marveled for a moment at the view afforded by her perch, and then floated up a little bit. Maybe she could find music here in this big building? But first she would have to find someone who knew how to navigate - and that, she didn't know how to do.

Presently, there was a boy, just a tad taller than all of the others in the area, helping get books down for some of the other kids. The shelves in this section weren't completely out of reach for any children, but if a little one didn't know what shelf the one they wanted was on, it tended to result in a lot of confusion. The boy grinned as he handed a book over to the last kid who'd come over to him and sat down to finish the crossword he was working on.
This boy, if one took a pretty quick look at him, was most assuredly odd. He had a rather lengthy face with a big round nose, brown fur, round glasses, and humongous antlers to top it all off. His name was Phineas and presently, he had little better to do than crosswords and helping children, seeing as his mother had dropped him off there while she took his brother to the doctor's office. Phineas always did find things to do while he was at the library.

London spotted only the boy's antlers and decided that it would be a good place to start. Alighting on the top edge of the crossword, she collapsed into a sitting position; her hair was slow to follow, billowing like she was moving in antigravity or deep water. She leaned forward, hands on her knees, and tried to catch the strange-looking boy's eye. Since she glowed, she didn't think it would be too hard...

Phineas glanced up and smiled at the little girl. "Hello there." he said gently. "Need any help?" She looked very small and there were very few reasons people talked to him - they either needed help, or wanted to ask about his antlers. And given that this girl was glowing, she probably didn't need to know why he had antlers.

Wow, he really was very big. Most people were so big, too, though, so she didn't really know if it was that they were big or she was small, and whatever the reason she found herself suddenly shy. London covered her face with her hands, peeked out through her fingers and smiled. She needed help, yes, but he was big and she was small! What if he tried to squish her? But he looked nice! Surely he woudln't squish her, but... But! Her dad squished bugs all the time, and he was nice. So niceness was no guarantee of not getting squished, especially on accident.
"Don't squish," she said uncertainly in a voice like quiet windchimes, her eyes big between her fingertips. "Where music?"

Phineas looked a little surprised at her statement. Why would he squish her? She was a person, and that was mean to do. Carefully, he picked the little girl up and set her securely on one of his antlers. "Do you mean books about music or actual CDs and whatnot?" he inquired.
