The noon sun was high in the sky, a few clouds here and there and the wind blowing softly. A creamed kitten with brown markings made his way to a couple of boulders near the lake, with his tail swishing high. When he finally reached the mountain of boulders he sat down down for a while staring upwards. In his mind he was thinking of past events and how he should deal with them.

"I haven't seen anyone for awhile" he thought to himself. "I haven't seen that flute lady. Or the lady with the secret place" frowning and then he sighed. "What a shame! I can't even remember what happened! Or where it is..." He made a face and stood up again. "Mother and Father..." a lot was happening with his family and he shook his head to rid of it. "I'll think about it later!" he declared to no one and started jumping up the mountain of boulders swiftly and carefully.

At the top (which wasn't very high, but to a young kitten) it seemed to Hermies that he was on top of the world! He looked around "the trees are still bigger..." he thought. Looking down again at the lush grass below he blinked and smiled. "Here comes flying Hermies!" and jumped.

His felt the rush of wind in his fur and his tail waving wildly. "I'm flying! I'm really-" Thud! "Ow" was all Hermies could let out as his body ached in places.

Hermies muttered other ways to try and succeed under his breath as he slowly got back up.

"H-hello...? Someone there...?"
His ears pricked at the voice and he stood still. Friend or foe, friend or foe, ran through his head. Deciding that since he wasn't attacked yet, and the voice didn't sound menacing. "I'm Hermies. Son of Kieran and Persy (he could never say his mother's name properly)" and thought -That sounded so weird to say- and would have started laughing if not for the new cat.

"Who are you? Show yourself"

Hermies couldn't help but tilt his head with the kitten. "Maybe a little..." he said and shook his head. "Now if you'll excuse me, I'm on an important task" and started to jump up along the boulders again.

"I'm going to fly today" he said proudly, looking over the top of the boulder.

"Well, trying. I haven't quite perfected my techniques yet... I saw a squirrel do this before. No wings and just jumped off and started flying!" He swished his tail and paced around the top. "I don't mind" he said smiling, "just... Don't stay too close in case I crash into you by accident! "

'Oh! Maybe, what's the kitten's name. Kagami? Yes, that sounds about right. Maybe he could see what I'm doing wrong~' thought the cream kitten.
"Kagami? Mind if I call you Kaggy? If I'm doing something wrong tell me when I get down, will you?"

"Cool! It's just that, Kagami is a mouthful for me" He ran back a few paces and readied himself. Hermies stuck out his tongue and felt the wind make it cooler. "Wind resistance, check! Paws, okay and ready to be stretched. Tail, check! Ready to be used as navigation thingy! Alright!" he announced "Here I go!"

Hermies started to run fast, his heart pounding with excitement. At the edge he leaped into nothing and whooped. It felt like he had slowed down time. Until, that is, he started falling down again. "Loooook ooooout!" he yelled as he braced himself, ready to roll when he got closer. The thick lush grass below cushioned his fall somewhat as he landed, head spinning in circles even after he stopped rolling he tried his best to focus on the blue sky.

"I-I think I'm going to puke..."

Hermies sat up slowly "the world is moving... hey" he squinted and tried to focus Kagami's face "you didn't tell me you had a twin.. or two twins..." His body ached again, just like the first time. Mostly his front paws who had taken most of the impact. The rest of his body was just tired.

The kitten closed his eyes and put his head down in the grass "that's a little better..." he muttered then sighed to Kagami. "So Kaggy, what'd I do wrong? Did I fly for a little bit at least?" a little hope in his voice.
