This is the guild's list of all known sentient species. Of course the various species can be combined in an infinite number of ways. You may use any race on the list as a character, or you may come up with your own. If you create your own new species, please PM Ryuka Navali with a brief description and history of your species. Or if you know of a species that has been mentioned in the guild and isn't on the list yet, please let her know also! <3

Lighter Realms
Angel
Angles reside in the Lighter Realms. Contrary to popular belief, Angels are not divine in any way, and can actually be equally as crooked or devious as any Demon. Angels are characterized by their light skin, hair and eyes. They often have wings, and always use light, white and healing magic. Angels always prefer using magic in combat, but they are equally adept at using weapons and are fierce fighters.

Half Angel
A Half Angel is any being who has some angelic lineage in their blood. They can have any mix of traits from either side of their heritage.
Known Half Angels:
Visper
Vispers reside in the Lighter Realms, but often travel to or stay on the earth. The Visper is a species of wind anthros characterized by their orange fur, green stripes and long pointed ears. Their tails usually are more the consistency of wind, flowing freely, and feel like light silk to the touch. All Vispers have an extremely friendly and inquisitive personality and high energy levels. They can also use wind magic quite adeptly.

High Elves
High Elves are the original Elves. Their existence predates any historical records. It is often theorized that High Elves were one of the first sentient species in the world, along with Angels and Demons. High Elves are characterized by their very tall height, long pointed ears, and often pale complexion. They can easily master all forms of magic, and are very detached from the world around them. This is probably due to their remarkable intelligence. High elves have never been seen on the earth in modern history.

Aziza are a fairy-like race found in the African continent.

Djinn
Djinn are natives of the Lighter Realms and masters of illusions. These illusions stem from a Djinn's "Prismatic Magic" which allows him or her to manipulate chromatic light to perform different spells, and create illusions. Usually living apart from other races Djinn are very secretive. Some Djinni however, out of boredom or for some other reason, have journeyed to the middle realms to interact with other races. Usually this interaction consists of the Djinni "imprisoning" themselves in objects and "granting wishes" for anyone who finds them. Not all Djinni are benevolent however, and sometimes a wisher can find that the gold he wished for becomes dust at the worst moment or other such tricks.

Middle Realms
Human
Humans are one of the newer races on earth. Some argue that humans are descended from elves. Others argue that they evolved separately. The true origins of Humans is unknown. Humans are the most diverse species when it comes to appearances. Their skin and hair colors can come in any variation of colors. They can also master most of the forms of magic, and are skilled weapons users.

Bestia
Extraordinary, beautiful, and some are even hideous. These words are only a few that can describe the super human species named the Bestia. These powerful beings once resided on two separate planets of good and evil, though, they were united by the hopes of a better tomorrow. This species was created from a mutated gene of humans that lived on the planets of The Gallant and of The Profligate. Each planet held the same mutated gene humans, though each planet had different rulers with different morals. The two planets fought for many years until they were combined together by the force of the Great Alice Lovett. These beings have various powers, usually dealing in super strength, flying without wings, and most use magic or can unleash the energy they retain within thier bodies. The only thing that separates the Bestia from the regular human species is their chromosome count, which allows them to have more abilities than most humans.

Elf
Elves are descendants of the High Elves. They typically reside in the dense forests of earth, preferring nature to more developed surroundings. Elves are characterized by their height, pointed ears, intelligence and diplomatic view of life. They always prefer peaceful solutions to problems, but that does not mean they will stay out of a conflict if it concerns them. Elves are skilled magic users, but are even more renowned for their advanced mastery of weapons.

Half Elves
A Half Elf is any being who has some Elven lineage in their blood. They can have any mix of traits from either side of their heritage.

Illaeli
Otherwise known as Blue Elves. Characterized by their vibrant blue hair, the ancient Illaeli have abandoned their magical roots to explore a new potential; the power of psionics. Though often mistrusted by other Elven races because of the abandonment of their principles, the Blue Elves have cultivated a society of self-exploration and contemplation. Apart from their natural mental abilities and acuity, they also focus on a martial style known as Dorn dar dáta Socair Intinn, which focuses on combining their mental abilities with physical combat, in which their favored weapons are their fists, longswords, and spears. In terms of personality, Illaeli tend to be a bit distant as a result of their alienation, and few that overcome this are still very shy.

Kexal
Kexal are a neutral anthro species. They typically reside in mountainous forests, but have been seen in more tropical settings. Kexal are characterized by their orange-brown fur with cream stripes, purple highlights on their paws and face, bushy tail and large ears. They are renowned for their superb sense of hearing, as well as their complete opposition to conflict. They have no magical abilities what so ever, and refuse to even touch a weapon.

Roarco
Roarco are a neutral anthros species. They only reside in dense mountainous forests, but their avid curiosity often leads them to civilized areas. They are often described as resembling the common raccoon, and are believed to be a sentient branch of the raccoon species. Roarco are very skilled with their hands, often taking up detailed crafting jobs. Roarco have no magical abilities and are typically adverse to training in weapons, usually preferring to spend their time working on a craft or hobby.

Felines are a sentient branch of the feline species, often incorrectly referred to as Nekos, which are part Feline part Human mixes. They live all over the world and come in a wide variety of colors. They are characterized by their small pointed ears, long tails and paws. Felines can have magical abilities and are adept nimble fighters, usually preferring close hand combat.

Nekos are a Human Feline mix. They can have a varied combination of traits from either side of their heritage.

Canine
Canines are sentient branch of canine species. They live all over the world and come in a wide variety of colors. They are characterized by their tails, ears and paws, occasionally having muzzles. Canines typically don't have magical abilities and are usually powerful fighters due to their abundant strength.

Brood
Now Dragons themselves regal beasts seldom seen by mortals, but through them we get Half-Dragons. Normally left father or motherless, whichever the dragon is, most go through life not knowing what they really are. Only Dragons can tell off the bat. They are physically a lot like normal humans just with extreme intelligence, higher strength and stamina, naturally gifted with magic, and often have a keen awareness of magic.

Half Djinn
The Half-Djinn are beings who have some Djinn lineage in their ancestry. Born in the Middle Realms, they have access to the Lighter Realms when they mature. They can cast Prismatic Magic like their Djinn relatives, but lack the natural aptitude Djinn have with light manipulation and illusions. Also Half-Djinn require the use of a Prismatic crystal to focus ambient light because they can not produce their own light.

Underworld Greater Demon
Greater Demons reside in the Grand City of the Underworld. They consist of the purest demon lineages in existence and include the longest ruling family of the Underworld. Greater Demons are characterized by their great strength, very short tempers, love of violence and use of dark magic. Any Greater Demon outside of the Underworld during the Demonic Purging will loose all their powers for that time.

Lesser Demon
Lesser Demons reside in the middle regions of the Underworld. They consist of demon lineages that have been crossed with other breeds and races over time. Lesser Demons are very much like the Greater Demons, but much more watered down in strength and power, and are often very devolved and basal. Most resemble the demonic creatures that wander the underworld and can barely be considered Lesser Demons. The small population of civilized Lesser Demons have put together a rather unruly town named Ahkmiil, located in the middle region of the Underworld along the path to the Grand City.
Known Lesser Demons:
Harpy
The harpies are the guardians of the souls in the underworld. At first, all souls reside there. Eventually, a window is opened and the harpies guide the souls through the window, where the souls disintegrate and become 'dust' (similar to life force, you could say). Their only demand is to hear a true story, basically the life story of the soul. Those souls that remain in the underworld have told lies or have no story. Infants are an exception. This window that the souls are guided to cannot be entered, only exited.

Vampire
Vampires are actually humans physically transformed by the demonic soul now possessing their body. They can not survive in sunlight, and must drink blood to stay alive.

A Half Demon is any being who has some demonic lineage in their blood along with some amount of either human or elf blood. They can have any mix of traits from either side of their heritage.

Drow Elves
Drow Elves, or Dark Elves, reside in the upper regions of the Underworld. They are very distantly related to modern Elves only through their High Elf ancestry. The Dark Elf ideology typically consists of the following: 'Dark Elves are superior to all beings. If you want something, then take it. Do not be concerned with the lives of others. The world is yours if you have the power. Strive for the power.' Drow Elves are characterized by their dark skin, which can range from a grayish black huge to blue or purple. Drow elves often master dark magic quite easily, but on rare occasions have been known to use other magics and even healing magic.

Know Time Lords:
Sub-Human
Definition: A sub-human is a human to most extent. But a sub-human, has different traits. The sub-human is typically anyone from another world or dimension, sometimes even a mutated human.
Normally a sub-human will have longer life, higher strength, different hair/eye/skin color as well as different proportions based on where they're from.
Most sub-humans mimic normal humans in nature, but differ due to their longer life spans and such. The typical sub-human life span is about four hundred earth years, a higher born sub-human, or one of a higher breed, may live up to six hundred human years. In their own worlds they are nothing out of the ordinary.
A mutated human, would fall under this species. Depending on the mutation they may also mimic the human or another race; however they are still classified as sub-human.
