Today, We'll be gutting, The Sims 3! Both the standard and collector's editions.

General:
It's a lot more lie real life with little add-ins like when you work-out you don't get in a bad mood, you get "physically fatigued" which evolves into being "sore", and your sim has different levels of hunger and bathroom needs shown. The aspiration points are not traded for many items. They are now mostly traded for trates, such as "Professional Slacker" which allows you to skip work without reprcussions. They got rid of the hooscope part were you deal out attribute points, that's souly based on what personality traits you give them (and there are tons to choose from e.g. Fire immune, lucky, never naked, unlucky, evil, artistic, natural musician, misbehaving, technophobic, ect which you pick 5 of), and also on the "life goal" you pick, which is basicly just choosing between which personality trait you want to focus on most (you can also pick their favorite color, music and food). It's also nice that you can go to someones house, instead off having to wait until you know them and then call them to your house. A down side is you cant just save a single house, you have to save the entire neighborhood, but you get different save files. Customization is amazing to. Almost endless possibilities

CE specific:
It isn' all it's cracked up to be. It doesn't come with the soundtrack, only 1 song (the main theme), the car is nice, you get the 1000 points for sims3.com, a new neighborhood, but the stratagey guide was just a horrible joke. It isn't the main one, its a pitiful 4 page pamflet, smaller than the instruction booklet. Everything except the stratagey guide was on the USB plumbob (2 gig). There were also screensavers and wallpapers, but they were the same ones you can get on the site for free, and that come on the $1 preview disc.

Customizing:
A little harder, but still possible. You no longer have specific folders to put your own music in specific radio stations and as BGM for the CAS, build, and buy modes. You can only add music to the "custom" radio station. The game comes with a download manager that automaticly installs the custom content. It makes it sound easier, but thats only if it's a sims3 package file, were most custom content on good sites like modthesims2.com (now doing sims3 content) is a standard package format, which is not supported by the sims 3 download manager. Modthesims2.com though has a way for Sims3 to accept package files. You put a directory file in the root folder of the Sims 3 folder in the programs directory ("C;/program files/ ect. not My documents/ electronic arts/ect) then create a new folder called "Mods" and another folder in that folder called "Packages" (again, better details on modthesims2.com)

Overall, it's a GREAT game.

o! and I almost forgot to mention, the game also automatically can check for updates and download patches. (So things can get better at any time)

Today, We'll be gutting, Twisted Metal:Head On Extra Twisted Edition for the PS2 (came out in 200 cool

Main Game:
TM:HO is a remake of Twisted Metal 2, one of the best Twisted Metal games. This time around, opponents and bosses are tougher, and more fierce looking, such as Dark Tooth (quite a step up from just an ice cream truck but painted black and made a little bigger) and the horrible Tower Tooth. *sniff* its so beautiful. Widely credited as having one of the greatest laughs in video game history (along with Kid Sweet Tooth from Twisted Metal: Small Brawl). The best part is, you can unlock and drive both Dark Tooth and Tower Tooth yourself! (unfortunately with less power, and siz, except tower tooth who is as huge as ever, but is only playable in 1 level). It also comes with a free download of Twisted Metal Symphony (all the music from every stage in every TM game ever made except 3 and 4 which were able to use in cd players and in your computer as an audio cd, but no one counts those as part of the TM series)
Twisted Metal is a game about the Twisted Metal Contest. (originally called "High Octane" in TM1) The person who kills all opponents, and survives to meet Calypso, will recieve 1 wish. that's right, the prize is "Whatever the winner asks for, with no limits on value, or even reality" as calypso puts it.

Gameplay:
TM:HO provides all the challenge and fun of all the past Twisted Metal games, and brings back memories for old fans, but stays unique enough to deserve a buy from even people with TM2 (plus its only $20 new). It has challenging battles and somehow doesn't get as repetitive as you would think. You drive around in a car, driven by people, not only worthy of joining the DS, but some great enough to even hold an extremely high rank (such as Calypso (the person of ultimate power that runs the contest), "Sweet Tooth" aka Needles Kane, and "Roadkill" aka Marcus Kane. no there not brothers. there a little... more than that. basicly
they are alternate personalities of eachother, all though you dont know that until you beat the game with dark tooth, driven by both Needles and Marcus. which is explained in the same cutscene. Tower Tooth is also driven by both Marcus and Needles.
but anyway, you drive around in an awesome car, picking up weapons, and killing, and destroying people. Each car also has there own special weapon.

Music:
Not much to say except awesome. Too bad its covered up by explosions and screams at points. its usually not though

Graphics:
Pretty good. The cutscenes have an interesting style. unlike the rest off the game, the cutscenes arent CGI, they are... kinda like a comic book with some animation. it sounds bad, but its really good.

this part destroys 8.5 cars out of 10

part2
Twisted Metal: Lost

Twisted Metal Lost is 4 levels from the never-to-be-realeased Twisted Metal Black 2, a sequal to one of the most DS like games in existence, were every character is some kind of derange murderer or insane person, straight from "Blackfeild Insane Asylum", and thrown in a car with tons of weapons. This ios the only M rated game in the Twisted Metal series. Not really from the gameplay (which the worst it has is a freaky twitching person that one car shoots out that ends up beating up one other car, and the people on fire wen you destroy a car) but the cutscenes have there share of blood gore and violence
Twisted Metal Black 2 never came out since the main creators died in a plane crash, even though the game was practicly finished, and was even in beta testing at the time. Out of respect it never came out until a letter came to sony with the signatures off all the dead people that were working on the game, asking for sony to release there great work. it was planned to be unlike any other TM. it would be all one level, were the player would drive to each battle arena, with no load times, and smooth gameplay. Sony debated it and eventually put it off as a hoax, but decided to put 4 arenas into TM:Lost (if you beat the TM:lost story mode [sadly has no story to it, and no cutscenes] you will see the original letter sent to Sony

Gameplay:
Dark, and creepy, the perfect Twisted Metal Black feeling. It has all the same evil feel as the original. same basic gameplay as TM:HO but with different characters (keeping the legends of course) altered characters, and overall, a new feel. Unfortunately, Sweet Tooth no longer has his flamin clown head (or in early games, flaming ice cream) projectiles. turns out he was secretly a Decepticon (transformers reference... really he just turns into a robot that shoots a major machine gun).

Sound:
Just as dark and creepy as the game. I love it

this part splatters 7.5 enemies out of 10

Part3
Extras (1 anyway. therea a ton more awesome ones):
Twsited Metal Black 2 was also going to have parts of the game on foot, were you (playing as Sweet Tooth or that preacher guy) would have to perform certain tasks, and defeat people in fights, in order to get to your car. instead they put in an exploration level that i forget the name of, were you explor Blackfeild Asylum on foot as sweet tooth, and get random factoids. kind of interesting. not much to say here

This part disects 6 people out of 10

Overall, this game gets a 9 out of 10. works great all together and has a great price tag.

Hint: Found all the secret minigames and beat them all? Your done right? no. If you go through and beat them again, you get cheat codes for the game. not a big thing but still.
